I feel like sports anime don't usually take injuries as seriously or realistically as they should, but I've yet to see if this one is really any different.
A fractured leg could take up to a year before it's healed enough and you're back in practice enough to run normally again.
If she recovers enough to just have a friendly race with spe-chan that would be cool.

I don't think she'd be out of commission for a full year, they might apply some fiction suspension of reality to have her heal up and out of rehab to have her run with Spe-chan before leaving for America.

The animation in this hasn't been great but I think it's been getting more and more QUALITY as it goes on.
This is the same studio that did Madchen Marchen last season too.
I wonder if they can hold out to the end this time.
