Eleven volumes of manga in twelve episodes. That's a super-dense adaptation. Probably even denser than Tower of God. I know they cut a lot of the minor characters' plots and screen time to help with that.
>>852385 Yeah the characters were definitely a highlight. It's kind of nice when Doga Kobo takes a break from their usual CGDCT shows to do a more serious drama like this. Their attention to quality loans itself well to a more realistic style too.

I guess my problem is adapting a drama-driven series into a fast-paced and dense series is that it makes it hard to get that kind of cathartic satisfaction at the end of it. Like Rikuo had the big scene with the messy confession and then Haru's response. And if it had come at the end of like even two-cours of this tangled personal issues and drama they've had, it would feel much more emphatic. Plus they would have had the time probably to rest on it for a moment instead of moving right on along. I need time to digest moments liks that!
Anno
Well now get yourself properly to bed. And enjoy the weekend!
That was a comfy enough show. I liked the setting and charaters. It didn't quite do anything special for me but it was nice.
Yuu
that was a good show too i liked her clothes better than anthing

We ended up pretty well-blessed with good shows this season despite the stuff that had to go on hiatus because of the shutdown's work issues. I'm not too optimistic for the stuff I'm seeing next season, though there should be some pretty good shows. Plus it'll be nice to get stuff like the cute girls doing fishing things show back, that one was pretty comfy before it got postponed.
Yeah, it can be hard to tell with second seaosns for stuff like this since it's so promotional.
Anno
Mobage adaptations do also tend to get inflated sales numbers too since the BDs always come with codes for in-game stuff. I dunno. Some people swear by sales numbers are everything, others insist there's firm evidence it has no real bearing on whether or not a show gets more. Maybe they won't do more since the mobage's been promo'd enough, but maybe they'll do more in hopes of continuing to build interest in the game.
All you can really do is hope what you like gets more anime!
Yuu
I feel like sales numbers aren't good when you have advertisement anime like pricon, or loved projects like dropkick-chan.
thanks for anime
Anno
Well in Dropkick's case the sales numbers were what got it a second season! Definitely a fringe case where it was clearly stated though.
In the end him joining the Cheer Squad was a really good experience for him. Who could have imagined surrounding yourself with positive people who just want to be happy can improve your own mentality.

Festivals seem to be big climax points for this manga. There was the summer festival in the first season that was done really well. And now the athletics festival for this. Hopefully we get more animated so we can get to the culture festival.
Anno
I mean we should get one or two episodes more in this season but I really really really want more.
There's a lot of research and design prototyping that goes into art. It's important to explore a lot of resources to make sure the choices you make are ideal. Especially when paying -when painting for a client.
Anno
Honestly as nobility you can kinda, well not really change your birth, but forsake it. She's already kinda done that by apprenticing as a painter. But I guess in fairness she did appeal to this guy because she was a noble. In part at least. There's always going to be people trying to reinforce the circumstances of your birth even if you fight against them.
Anno
I guess the climax is going to be her making the choice of returning to Florence or staying in Venice. Because of how small people's worlds and how difficult travel was in this time, there's a good chance whichever choice she makes, she'll never see the people who live in the other city ever again. Doesn't make for an easy decision.
Yuu
She'll choose whatever is better for her work thanks for anime
Anno
I think that would mean staying in Venice, since she's got an offer of a patron there. But I dunno, I feel she'd want to return to Florence and be able to apprentice longer under Leo.
Either way, yeah, thanks for anime. Enjoy the weekend if I don't see you around.
