Looks like their time with Shouko has been relegated to dreams, and faint memories. Oh he remembered at the end though.
Anno
Sounds like it's a duet of the ED with Mai and Shouko's seiyuus. I liked how they had each of the focus girls sing this ED when the anime was running. And at -And for the finale they had all of them singing in chorus.
Anno
Oh this movie covered two of the LN volumes. Which leaves three currently unadapted. I wonder if they'll do more in time.
Yuu
yeah, felt like a full arc thanks for anime was ag ood movie
so that's not what she literally said she said yobai which is usually translated as "night crawling" and it refers to the practice of going to a woman's house in the middle of the night and craling into her bed and trying to have sex with her and that if she lets you then it means she's okay with it its not really a thing anymore obvious reasons *for obvious well it might technically literally refer to men only *might not literally refer to men only but its a practice that comes from feudal Japan in small villages
FormerRei !GURPSRWiTs
I've heard it still occasionally happens in really rural villages though
FormerRei !GURPSRWiTs
also I hope you like foreshadowing because Tokimi isn't addressed for like 8 more episodes
FormerRei !GURPSRWiTs
any chance you'd be able to watch more later? I'll only be up for like 3-4 more hours though
Fruits is good and comfy but i find it a little dull and safe probably because it's ancient shoujo
Anno
Yeah I wouldn't say it's particularly risky. It's one of those healing-y kinda shows but stretched over a full narrative's length. Honestly even having a cast of attractive guys all burdened by trauma and their dark pasts and being the caring and lovable but somewhat bland female MC is the kind of thing you'd expect out of an otomege these days too though. But Fruits Basket definitely leans on subdued and implicative darkness rather than explicit. Like the batshit crazy way Akito is, is more par the course for otomege characters these days.
Anno
Personally I think it might also be a bit dull because it doesn't try to have exaggerated characters, for the most part at least, and attempts to capture its characters more realistically. There's a lot of richness to the characters but since it's not highlighted for fiction it probably gets lost if you're not following too closely. Which probably isn't the best trait for late-night anime hah hah.
Yuu
sorry drifted off thanks for anime, good night
Anno
Ah I thought you were just right out! But yeah, good night. See you tomorrow.
Also get to Kanojo episode one nerd. Episode two should be out by Sunday.
Anno
did you watch ep1 already? ok i will watch it tomorrow night
Anno
Yeah we watched it, uh Tuesday night. I checked for you but I think it was already like past midnight your time and you were looking like you'd already gone off. If we know people are around and want to watch I don't think it's hard to make some simple accomdations -accomodations for that. Anime's a bit lonely these days with just the two of us.
Anno
Plus with more people around Rika doesn't have to entertain my vanity nearly as much.
Anno
ah yeah, if it's after midnight sometimes i'm dead last night was crazy, i got home for work early but ended up sleeping for like 12 hours so not crazy really just boring i slept so much
Oh Sugita is also a super CEO Apparently these kind of immense financial companies are a real thing in Japan. The kind of ones that the evil corp from Kaiji also parodied.
Are there English localizations of the guy's names or something? She called this guy Victor but I didn't hear that at all in her dialogue. And the professor earlier was Lucien, but again.
Yuu
I think a lot of big companies are huge and multi-faceted and kinda evil there, yeah.
Anno
Oh I see. This is an adaptation of a Chinese phone otomege. Which for some reason doesn't use Chinese names for the characters but Western names.
Or more precisely I think this is an adaptation of a Japanese-localization of a Chinese phone otomege. So the English subs use the official Chinese names but the Japanese-recorded voice lines use the Japanese names.
Yuu
oh makes sense I thought it was a weird premise, with the female being in the superior position
Anno
Reminds me of a Korean mobage that a few friends I know were into a couple years back. It was a similar premise; you were a self-insert female lead and there were a cast of male characters for you to interact with and dating sim your way to companionship.
Looking at Wikipedia this one seems to expand on that and has stuff like the guys being able to call you (which since you play on your phone, must be pretty immersive), and you interact with a simlated social media to post on their Tweets and stuff like that.
oh nice she's a dork when not in dating mode I like that style better though
Anno
I'm not big on braid pigtails like those but everything else about it is pretty nice.
I guess next episode his ex comes back into the picture. I bet she's gonna be greedy and expect his pathetic self to be running back to her.
Yuu
I think this will be one of the good ones this season.
Anno
I'm not really familiar with the manga but I've looked at chatter about it in the past. It seems to get a lot of people picking favourites.
>>857563 It'll be nice to have some good stuff airing this season. There really isn't a lot airing to begin with so what's here being good is extra valuable.
Anno
Tomorrow has Deca-Dence airing and that was a great pilot episode. In terms of stuff we're watching Wednesdays are actually one of the busiest days this season. I think only Friday matches it in volume of shows we're watching but we don't really watch stuff on Fridays anymore.
