I'd be interested in watching the Bunny Girl Sempai movie, Seishun Buta Yarou wa Yumemiru Shoujo no Yume wo Minai. Vivid's got a fansub of it. It's a direct continuation of the anime series, so if you'd rather something standalone we could do Promare or Her Blue Sky. But personally I think I'm interested in the Sempai one.
Well actually now that I think about it I'm doing xdcc so I should be able to start it and it should work and finish downloading as we watch

Also as a heads-up I might potentially be unreliable or have a harder time getting daily shows for the next two weeks or so. My parents are looking to sell this house and have become thoroughly convinced by the real estate person that we can't have anyone in the house during the preview period. So I'm getting shuttled off to the cottage for two weeks where the Internet is traaaaaaassh Nevermind actually downloading shows I can't be certain I'll ever be able to maintain a sufficient conversation. I'll do my best, but I don't know what my best will be.

Yeah it's this kind of thing you can't trust him to make the selfish and Mai-side choice in. If he chooses to stay alive then the younger Shouko won't ever get the heart transplant she needs and will die. But if he accepts the death fortold for him, then Mai and all his friends will mourn his death. But the latter will save another person's life.

His original imouto is still a pretty cute character though. The way she was all bro-con-y when she'd lost her memory was cute, but this is more of a relaxed cute type.

He did an incredible amount for her when she was turning invisible though. And while he does keep messing up he does always come back to her in the end. Also like his megane friend she's one of the few that always knows how much he's doing to try and help other people. I think that kind of sacrificing nature is something some people can like to the point of falling in love with.

I wonder if we've entered a kind of opened Shroedinger's Cat situation though. Like, the older Shouko was only able to come back to the past to tell him how he dies, because he died to give her his heart. If he doesn't die, she can't live, and come back to tell him. Causality is fucky like that.
Watching him be such a bad boyfriend to mai is a bit annoying

If the gravity wasn't so severe I'd be inclined to agree. But like, he has to choose between willingly sending a little girl to death, or ending his own life. It's not exactly an easy choice for anyone to make I think.

That'll be the second arc. It's that refuge of being able to step back from the story that makes awful things happening bearable after all. Like, it's obvious that the narrative arc will have everything turn out okay. But for the moment, it's important to suspend your disbelief and worry for the characters. It's a good exercise in empathy at least.

This has kind of confirmed for me what I was thinking though. It doesn't have to be Sakuta's heart that saves Shouko. After all it's Mai's heart right now. Causality doesn't demand that he die just so she can live.

Well this series has been pretty good about making it a not-really harem. It's certainly the same kind of wish fulfillment since they're still all cute, high-level girls. But the series has been decent and not really had any romantic development between him and most of the girls. It's only really just been Mai and Shouko.

I guess we eventually made it back to the causality I was talking about earlier. The life he lives now is contingent on Shouko's situation. If he tries too hard to change it, then he upsets the way things have turned out for him.
He keeps messing with his situation with Mai doing this stuff.

She seems more accepting of it this time though. Or more so, seems convinced even if he rewrites the past, she'll just fall in love with him all over again. I guess things aren't so bad now that he's not trying to get himself killed.

Sounds like it's a duet of the ED with Mai and Shouko's seiyuus. I liked how they had each of the focus girls sing this ED when the anime was running. And at -And for the finale they had all of them singing in chorus.

Oh this movie covered two of the LN volumes. Which leaves three currently unadapted. I wonder if they'll do more in time.
