They had a proper studio while they were still a part of Geek & Sundry in the early parts of season two And while the thoughts of being their own thing might've been already happening between the two campaigns, the actual split wasn't until they were in campaign two The transition from homegame to a serious streaming program actually happened pretty early in campaign one, probably roughly around the point that they moved from a flimsy lunch table to a good table for running tabletop on. Though that beautiful table they played campaign two on was a campaign two addition
They're also people with a bunch of things they do that aren't CritRole related too though Like Sam's a sound director who does a lot of work while still occasionally adding his voice to things, and they're all accredited actors/voice actors I think the only one that doesn't really seem to do a lot of work outside of CritRole is Taliesin, and that just might be because he's really good at keeping his work life private where he can.

They already have! This was a long-term problem for Ashley which started pretty much as soon as campaign one started up She got a major role in a live-action crime drama which filmed on the east coast, other side of the continent from the rest of them, and the following seasons of that ate up pretty much all her free time. In addition to Skyping in to a physical game just kinda sucking, the timezone difference and exhaustion from filming just meant she didn't have the awakeness to participate. I'm pretty sure when she and Matt were putting together Yasha that was something they worked out so she'd have a good excuse to go AWOL when the filming was happening Fortunately, well, for CR, too bad for the crime drama, its last season was right about when Yasha was able to finally join up with the rest of the party permanently. And Ashley has said on Talks or otherwhere that she doesn't really want to take on a job like that again. In addition to missing out on the fun of CritRole, it was also just stressful for her, living apart from Foster and not being able to see her loved ones. She's much happier if she can stay full time in LA, which means she'd likely be permanently available for any future CR plans

But in addition to this, she's also unabashedly American. Like not even just "English", her bio says she comes from the "United States of Dragon America" and her English has obviously got a Georgian twang to it. She was talking about the Taiwan stuff at a time where Chinese-American relationships were stressed more than usual and so in addition to making a "transgression", she was a good target for them to attack. This is probably why despite both Coco and Akai Haato both making the Taiwan mistake and both of them serving the original three-week hiatus, Haato has been relatively ignored afterwards where as Coco has been enduring month after month of abuse.

I'm going to soapbox again that while the root and overwhelming majority of the damage was antis, the Cover management here absolutely shares an unforgiveable amount of the blame. They play it embarassingly safe and often try to have their cake and eat it, without actively protecting their talents from abuse. Coco has been in practically no management-organized projects since the incident, aside from a small cameo with the rest of Gen Four in the big Hololive concert in December. She doesn't get involved in 3D shows of other girls, and hasn't been on Holo Graffiti, Hololive's weekly skit comedy, since around the time of the incident. For a while even after being put on three weeks of hiatus, she couldn't collab with anyone, period, not even the other Japanese members, because Cover was too scared of the spam backlash against the other talents, but didn't actually want to pursue active solutions against the spam. Eventually she got back to doing collaborations with other JP members, but she was actively siloed from collaborating with the other branches, EN and Indonesia. Viewers noticed an absence and eventually the questioning became direct enough that Coco basically said "I'm not allowed to collab with the other branches". Some of her biggest projects, like her Asa Coco morning show, were explicitly refused permission to return, and even other popular projects, like a meme review where she took content from Reddit and Twitter and showcased it, often in a way to explain the absurd context to Japanese viewers, were always cherrypicked and reviewed by staff. Cover in their worst possible way both amplified the bullying and stiffled her creativity with the channel (something they've been kind of doing for most of their talents, but explicitly Coco), creating what was probably the unbearable environment for her to continue. But She does have a content creation personality that she worked as before and even during Hololive, and while it was middlingly successful, it definitely exploded once people made the association between it and Coco. However it's likely that it will be difficult for Hololive talents to collab with her IRL personality, I'd assume. It's also, she dealt with so much And she's the cause of so much. She used English social media to capture attention and popularize weebs broadly to know what Vtubers were. And she's the one within Hololive who pushed hard for them to cast English auditions and put out a dedicated EN branch. We almost certainly wouldn't have HoloEN, or at least HoloEN as we know it, without her. She works hard behind the scenes, and you could ask dozens of the talents and they'd have a story or two about how Coco was a big emotional support for them in hard times. She is empathetic, tries to always be positive and warm, and is just responsible for so, so much. She's the strongest and I love her so much.

we don't know what kind of interfaces are possible, i think most existing brain interfaces operate by way of analogy i.e. amputees pretending to move phantom limbs. i do think that given interfaces that have direct and instant feedback mecchanisms, the brain will happily learn to wield such interfaces it is already something the brain is good at (tool usage) you know how you can like hold a key or something and touch a keyhole with it, and basically feel as if you have nerves in the key? only numb? same thing
