Things are okay for me, it's rather I've just gotten keeled over by the announcement of Hololive's Kiryuu Coco's graduation, hah hah
I know it sounds ridiculous. I never really expected to get affected by it so much.
But I guess over the past year and a half or so I've gotten pretty attached and, well, there's a lot here that it would take words and words to explain properly.
I've literally written out a thousand words elsewhere trying to explain just why it's affected me so much.

It's not just about not having her, it's also not having her with Hololive.
It means she won't be around for the communal aspect of the agency.
That missing piece in the big interlocking picture which is their community is going to hurt.

She's been fiercely insistent that it's her own personal decision, and in a members-only chat yesterday, likened it to the creative differences a band goes through when they inevitably end up splitting.
Management had an image they wanted (she's unclear if it's specifically her or Hololive broadly), and she had an image for what would make her and her fanbase happy.
There was just no compromising on the two and she decided if she was to keep in with what was expected of her, it would lead her to a point where she wouldn't be able to be happy with herself anymore.
So her leaving the agency became inevitable.

Of course it's likely if the China stuff had never happened it would have never come to this point in the first place.
But those are what ifs that we can't do anything about anymore.

well now that i see she's been streaming herself live recently
it's probably a lot more her decision than just getting let go
she might not want to deal with the rules anymore

It's logistically unthinkable that the management would ever want to let her go.
They literally sacrificed the entire profits of China to keep her on board.
She's regularly in the top two YouTube earnings for Vtubers in the entire world.
Everyone within the agency and massive portions of the fanbase love her.

Cover are just a bunch of cowards that are too pre-occupied with their own rules and regulations to give her freedom.

I don't think it has all too many volumes out at the moment
It might take a while for enough material to be out to make a second season out of.

The premise of this show is really a double-edged blade
On one hand, it's nice that a childhood friend is gonna win
But on the other hand, it means all these nice characters are gonna hurt when one wins

There's six volumes, so I'd assume this season would cover somewhere in the range of 3-5 of them.
Leaving a couple volumes spare.
They'd probably need a year and change to get enough material out for another season.
