My PC's been being annoying again and refusing to stay in sleep mode Like I'll put it in sleep and then a couple minutes later when I'm in bed or in the washroom I'll hear it click on and start whirring again And it's been additionally annoyingly lately because I think when it does that, it also wakes up Spotify on my PC, which is in a paused state, which I think then transmits to me at work and overrides my currently-playing Spotify, meaning I've got to go make it play again (and also I think it kinda bugs out the app on my phone) And since my PC eventually goes back into sleep mode by itself, only to jostle awake minutes later, this constantly repeats throughout the workday
I think the cafe was playing some airy Jpop when I went in for my coffee, I think They were pretty hopping with the "Five minutes before closing" crowd so it was hard to hear the language over the bean grinding and general noise, but I think it was Japanese Either way it sounded really nice.

You can really see the Imaishi influence in Amemiya's works. But he's managed to cultivate his own style, too, which is cool.

It really stands out in how he handles characters Imaishi fucking loves his exaggerated and ridiculous characters Dynazenon and Gridman before it really focus more on emotional subtlety and a lot of quiet moments, which rarely ever happens in an Imaishi work
I really love Amemiya's framing for shots. The way he positions character heads partially or fully out of frame to focus on body language is really unique and he's able to bring out a lot of emotionality without even seeing a character's face or hearing their voice. It was there for Gridman, but with Dynazanon, you can tell that Amemiya has leveled up a lot and really leaned into his strengths and style.
Amemiya uses a lot of really tight framing in an interesting way, too. I hope he'll get to direct a lot more in the future,. Outside of Imaishi, he's definitely my favorite guy over at Trigger.

the interview basically just went over mission mode being in the game, as well as some planned features there's a combo-maker mode planned so you can record and post combos for other people which is some seriously good tech in the sense that having the abilitiy to create and download what are essentially mission mode missions is huge for spreading character knowledge and increasing the average player's accessibiilty to improvement as well as top end players' access to improvement as well as well as well they said the first DLC character will be in july and be a character that hasn't been playable before and the second one will be in... august? iirc and will be a returning character
