For two years, so assuming I get even more financial aid than previously I'll have less than $30,000 in student loans to pay off. It could be a reaction to your environment. Or it could be due to anxiety. It must be very anxiety provoking to have that cyst. It's not really the same thing, but when I found out about my tumor, I was really anxious and sensitive about it for a long time.

RVs and camper vans are kind of neat. My family took a road trip out east into the Maritime provinces when I was a kid and we rented out a trailer camper for the whole two or however many weeks we were on the road. It definitely made camping much more bearable.

Yeah, that's pretty much how it was for my family. Each night we'd hit up the nearest campsite or national park to set up and sleep for the night.
I think camping is fine when you're on your own or with a partner, or if the people involved are all able to be responsible for their own sleeping preparations. But when you've got like five or six people around having a camper or an RV just makes everything so, so much more easier.
I'd love to do a cross country trip with y'all. It'd be awesome if we could go from, like, Washington State to Philly or California to Philly or something. An RV might make that more affordable. Ah, but most of us don't have that kind of time. Life sure is hard.

I got my official letter of admission for my program today. The deadline for accepting and paying a deposit is September 3rd. It's so close to the cut-off that I can't even confirm my acceptance through the online systems they usually process this stuff through. I had to email a department of the university to tell them I want to enter the program.
And I also might have to do a semester at least of academic probation, which might have apparently carried over from the disastous math major I tried at that school years back. Was kind of hoping that wouldn't be a pervasive problem, especially considering I exited that program since then.

I was on a waitlist, since my grades didn't outright disqualify me from acceptance, but weren't good enough to get an outright admission. A couple weeks back I went to the university to talk with the admissions department and I was effectively told if I didn't hear back about acceptance by the second week of September, I could assume I did not get in. So I guess someone who had a slot in the program dropped out or something, but I guess my number on the waitlist finally got called. Pretty much right on the edge of missing out too.

And I was thinking the other day and the Tobi-Kadachi fights a lot like another classic monster, the Nargacuga. The bit The bit where they leap up against trees and other walls to lunge at you is particularly reminscent. It makes me wonder if they're higher up on the World upgrade list because it might be easier to put them in. Though I guess Narga's a flying wyvern so they couldn't just use Tobi-Kadachi's underlying skeleton for it.

I get that with the one Discord server I don't full mute. Generally it's quiet and a burst of conversation doesn't distract from much. But every now and then they'll be really rowdy and it'll be several dozen posts consisting of short quips and dumb Twitch emotes. At least I can just temporarily mute the channel I guess.

You know when I was in Melonbooks in Japan I saw a shelf of Comiket music and they must've had a dozen or more Diao ye zong albums up there. I was really, REALLY close to just getting a whole set but I'd already spent so much money on Comiket stuff already, on top of all the other otaku goods I had.

Yeah, that's not really what I was getting at though. I'm a bit tired and was a little distracted at the moment. I mean more that if you jump from a ledge, you're already going to have been accelerating downwards the -for a moment as you pass the ledge. Where as if you drop from the ledge through whatever means, you'll be starting from zero acceleration. Which in some circumstances may help reduce danger, but most of the time video game characters are dropping from heights that regardless of how you start, in reality it would be way dangerous to fall from. There isn't really a realistic way to drop for that.

that's a pretty fun physics problem ACKSHUALLY there kind of is a way of empirically testing it it's gonna come down to the impact and duration of contact between your shoulder and back as you hit the ground and do roll, which is going to be determined by how much supporting horizontal momentum you have using your body as the medium for that translation and knowing your muscle resiliency and bone density you could figure out what horizontal velocity you'd need to deflect n amount of vertical momentum on a given surface after the first roll, if there's still too much forward momentum you can kind of just safely tumble forward for the most part, rolling on your side still a little shaky but that's pretty safe

They have really dramatic stories Someone once described ace combat as being like a mecha anime but with planes instead I love the radio chatter in those games so much When the player shows up and the enemies start shouting stuff like "WHO IS THAT PILOT" over the radio, it's so good
