There isn't really anyone/where I want to be called by either though. I mean I guess my family, but even then I feel if some severe communications interruption happened like that, the first thing one of them would be doing would be driving around to everyone's address to make sure they're okay.

I was looking at PC parts last night that I could get Boxing Day deals on. There's a nice bundle on one of the motherboards I was looking at with the cheaper of the two CPUs I was too And some of the hard drives I was thinking about getting are available too But I mean even with a bundle on a good motherboard/CPU it's still like 950 CAD. I -could- afford it, but man Lot of money.

A GPU can wait a bit longer I think My 1070 is still pretty good; bar me wanting to play Cyberpunk or something that comes out half a year or so from now, I suspect I won't have graphics concerns for a while still. I can save up for a 3070 when they're more readily available since they go for like 60% the price of a 3080 for probably about 80% the power of one.

Logical Increments, the site I refer to so I can act like I know what I'm talking about when it comes to PC parts, seems to think it's because Intel refuses to leave behind 14nm process nodes, but to say any more than that would require me to talk about things I know approximately nothing about. It used to be that AMD was consistently better at multi-threading, but Intel still dominated single-threaded processing, but AMD steadily closed the gap until this new generation of CPUs came out and solidly put them faster than Intel chips.
I've got an i7-10700k right now and I've been pretty happy about it, but the best processor I've used in the past was an i3 in a laptop so just about anything will feel amazing to me!

Ah, I wonder if I should sub these. The voice is surprisingly clear for a video shot in 2002 on a home camcorder. But only Roshi, the person doing most of the talking, is really easy to hear. He must have had a lav mic on. When people comment, you can't hear them all that well.

It's not great! The legs are those c-shaped design that have a kind of shock absorption so it's not like it's a stiff chair But there's no cushioning so I've taken to putting a blanket over the seat and back. That's still not a lot though. Plus the blanket's annoying since it'll slip off and then I've got a lump pushing into my back You don't realize how much you miss having a good chair until you've sat in a lousy one for like five minutes.

I think I need a new HDD, this one is really laggy by now and it can be annoying to load games off it unless I restart my PC every now and then. If I can remember I'm gonna try and do a disk defrag while I sleep tonight and see if that can help me tide over until I can replace/add in a new one. But I also want an SSD to store games on so I can be SPEED My current Steam library alone though is probably over a terrabyte by now though so even if I do that I'd either have to prioritize what I'm playing at the moment or go BIG Likely the first option though.
I'm storing games on a WD 2TB blue HDD and it's working pretty damn well for it. I was thinking I might get another one or two to throw in my rig when I see them on sale occasionally.

I have a slight packrat problem When I built this PC in 2016 I got a 6TB HDD for it and while I haven't stuffed it full yet, I do only have a terrabyte or so left. So a new HDD both fix my deteriorating speed problems and give me more space to throw things into! My working plan would be to keep games I'm not playing regularly on the HDD and the ones I do on the SSD. But on the other hand if I can get actual Internet speeds then maybe it doesn't really matter and I can just re-download games when I want to play them again.
Though regardless I'd like to have a not-slow HDD and a game SSD
