Merry Christmas. I ended up missing a few days because of Christmas, but it looks like not much aired.

I think he's underestimating how littke sukuna cares about his agenda
Anno
Hm, to me it feels more like he knows if Sukuna can get to full power, Sukuna would have such a massive effect on the world that a world of curses would inevitably come.
Anno
So the other boy is dead proper then? That's kind of a downer. The OP seemed to hint he'd join the Jujutsu school but I guess that was them baiting us. For all this series' flaunting of tropes it's not afraid to pull -to not pull punches either.
Now we just need Tony >>905986 Like I said You just gotta go outside and roll in the snow and then nothing will feel cold again >>905986 A little bit of snow-rolling isn't going to kill nobody

>Surprise pan service But what about surprise fan service
He's usually playing an angle though. I wonder what he's playing at this time.
Anno
Yeah, that's on my mind too. I can't really figure it out either.
Anno
Yeah here's Ooishi showing he's not the bad person he's playing to Keiichi and the rest.
Anno
Man the Sonozaki clan really has wide roots A councillor, a lawyer. The actual family's pretty much a Yakuza group too.
Anno
I suspect Ooishi's been chasing Satoko's uncle for something Since he's the kind of man who'd totally be committing petting crime all the time.
Anno
I've got a really bad feeling about this Satoko definitely didn't want to go to the clinic because she didn't want something about her body being discovered. I guess the simplest answer is just standard abuse marks. But I worry her uncle was an even more horrible man than that.
When the bat first swung I thought it was Satoko. Or when he turned on the light he'd see all his friends dead.
Anno
Ahhhh Was that not actually Satoko's uncle Was it Ooishi Ah nevermind. What happened to make Ooishi go crazy though. He's normally removed enough from Hinamizawa to not get the virus.
well this is about what I expected they ALMOST made it
Anno
>Neko-damashi-hen I don't remember a cat-related arc from the original Higurashi arcs. Yeah no, there's no Neko-something arc in the original arcs. So this one should be totally new stuff.
>>906040 Well there's no way they'd hit a resolution halfway through the show. This definitely feels like the closest they've come to a win though.
My guess is Takano got to Ooishi, since I think she's got access to administerable virus doses though. And maybe since he was berserk that's why Satoko's uncle was able to get free and return to the house.
I'm excited to see how this wraps up for the season. I might go find the manga at some point and read it because it's been a lot of fun so far.
Anno
Oh wow Michiru was able to pinpoint a detail even the Tensai Nana overlooked Though I mean she was pretty traumatized from the deaths of her parents at the time I can understand how she overlooked the detail.
Anno
It's kind of sweet and all But she is now, what, six or seven corpses into an assassination spree? I wonder if Michiru could forgive her for that.
I wonder if killer #2 is going to get Michiru and if Nana is gonna get blamed for it
Anno
At the least the killer's been trying to get Michiru for a while That green-haired girl tried to "relieve" Nana of her watch over Michiru last episode.
Oh maybe it's not the green-haired girl. She's been acting suspicious herself though.
Michiru has to be kinda stupid to believe that given the circumstances
Anno
She seems kind of booksmart but yeah, I think she's a bit dumb otherwise. Or rather she trusts people too easily. So she fully trusts that Nana was being honest about hating her there.
Anno
>When you find Inukai, don't be a hero Too late for that Kyoya.
Well, it's nothing Nana didn't do to other people kuma
I think it will be a good crisis of faith for nana, maybe she'll be less evil now
okay lets start
Anno
She's still just a kid! One who had to live with false guilt of her parents' deaths and was indoctrinated to hate the Talented to the point of killing them. And was deceived into thinking her mission had some kind of moral righteousness to it. I'm pretty sure that man with the boot probably set this whole thing up as a long plan to make her the way she was.
Anno
The entire thing has just been more and more of a tragedy as the show went on. And this episode was kind of an event horizon of it.
Anno
Yuna just wants to eat her Japanese food
Anno
Sasuga Yuna
Anno
She wants a trip just her and Yuna, eh That girl really likes her.
Anno
Poor Fina
Anno
Oh no she's starting to hallucinate
Anno
This is a kind of good way of showing how selfish a person Yuna is from outside her perspective though. She kinda just runs around doing what she wants and doesn't have a good knack for sensing other people's emotions.
This is one that feels like it could go longer but it really hasn't done much in 12 episodes I mean it's good but it hasn't really changed much
Anno
There hasn't really been any semblance of an overarching plot And very little character development, and since Yuna is already kind of at max-power, she doesn't grow in ability either. It kind of shows off the downside of having an OP power-trip MC if not handled well Everything just kinda ends up being a bit flat.
Kind of an extremely non-ending ending. But there wasn't really ever narrative rise or fall in the show ever so there wasn't anything to ... not end, or end, or ... something I dunno. I enjoyed it. Kind of a very SoL-y take on the isekai genre but never having anything actually be a struggle makes it fall kind of flat.
