i sank a few hundred hours into Deer Hunt though until my dad found out about age of empires that became our new jam

I mean, I do, personally, if I set up the appointment with them. But it's not standard practice to contact people who miss intakes unless your org has a good relationship with the referral source. I wouldn't count on them calling you but it's possible.
Calling clients is really a pain, though. Everyone's so bad at existing. They never set up their voice mail boxes, or their box is full so you can't leave a message, and even when you do, they take a year to call back so all the timeslots you wanted to get them into are full now.
after 25 minutes of trying to call, i got a signal long enough to get through and checked their hours, they say they're open til 5 so i dialed for the secretary and nobody answered so i left a voicemail last time i left a voicemail i got very distressed because i never got a return call if i do get a return call right now, it's very likely that it won't come through because there's no signal

i can probably pay it off without too much trouble. i'll probably be making 60k or more immediately following my doctorate. after a year, i can get licensed, which will increase my minimum salary to 80k or so. i can survive on 20k easily and comfortably, too.
i also have a wealthy fiance which will probably help although i don't plan on letting her pay off my debt or anything i'm gonna pay it off with my own two hands
that's pretty good. i'd have to work 80 hours a week to make 80k but i get no benefits and my taxes are insane which i could do 80 hour weeks but i'd have to: 1.) have my medications and stop getting fucked around by healthcare 2.) have a happy waifu happy laifu if im going to be spending that many hours hard working 3.) stop working on my publications which are the only thing giving me purpose at the moment

as long as i don't fuck anything up, i should be making $80 an hour as a program manager in a year when i move off on my internship my plan is to continue working as a program manager where i'm working now remotely although it'd probably be about 10 hours a week of work for that year
depending on how things are looking, i might offer to train someone to do the program manager job for a flat fee and maybe also offer to draw up training documents for an additional fee (all of the training documents are already made but they're mine and nobody else has them) i'd rather have the ongoing job though

Documentation isn't as important for self-pay clients because there isn't an insurance company to revoke their authorization. Insurance companies will find any reason they can not to pay us so we have to be more strict with our documentation now.
Well dunno about their modern state, but the root cause of requiring strict documentation is so no one screws them over. Though I bet in the markets of columbia, insurance companies are an ass

Back when I talked to my university's department for counselling, they signed me up for a long-term counsellor. That was back in ... November? They finally got back to me with a slot maybe some time in March or April. Which I promptly forgot over the four-day weekend between the call about it and the scheduled appointment. I never got back to them about it because of the anxiety of having to call someone about something I screwed up and also because there's a fifty dollar charge for missing an appointment. I could probably have benefitted from someone like that especially in the rockier bits of the Winter semester but I was probably pretty deep in the hole by the time the call for it came in. I don't know what I should do about it anymore so I've just been doing nothing about it.
