not particularly i'll have to comb through it after i'm done

Anno
i'll watch back over it in a bit and write up a blogpost about it man i kinda wish i could be a digital reporter and just live update things as they're going on all day that'd be a lot of fun
sk
Write blog posts on stuff, and set up a patreon and you can If you get big at all
Anno
i mean i could also just do it without any of that >>330455 by all day i mean the active business hours and when people are actually gonna be wanting live updates when they can't watch it for themselves so just like until 4 o clock probably even noon til four would be peak exposure hours probably
i wish i could have gotten ahead of this one so i could have tried it from my infosec twitter plop up the header and have a live update link on the tweet

Good idea honestly
Anno
got any specific book in mind or started one already?
sk
I'm continuing Homage to Catalonia I'm bad at reading stuff for a long time because I always feel like there's other stuff I could be doing instead, so I'm only on chapter 2 still
Anno
oh dank I'm currently reading Anarchy Works from Peter Gelderloos
I have the reverse where when I'm doing other stuff, I think I could be reading I'm about half-way with this book now
sk
Is it good? I really feel like I should be reading a lot more, cause my theory is like The Communist Manifesto and uh, my own head
I've read very little formal theory or literatture, and really just got to where I am through my own analysis, so I'm not even 100% sure I understand what I think I understand It holds me back a little to not be confident in the ideas buzzing around in my head
Anno
Yeah it's pretty good. Little lower on theory and more "refuting" criticism mostly using examples. I would recommend it, especially since it's not that long. So far I've read Conquest of Bread and Anarchism and other essays. Can definitely recommend Conquest of Bread too, it's great on theory.
sk
The Bread Book is like the most recommended book in anarchism, I think I've read some of it, and I liked what I read It helped me a bit, mindset-wise
Anno
It's recommend for a good reason in my opinion. It is dated in some small parts and sometimes he goes into listing numbers and calculations that I don't find very interesting. When I read it, I felt like I was reading mostly my own thoughts. It's like I could finally arrenge them in the correct order.
sk
Yeah, math stuff in theory just gets boring for me It's what made me skim through some parts of Towards A New Socialism, which I read but I'm not really a state socialist, so
Anno
Yeah same, luckily it was just a very small part of the book.
Not liking the state very much either, but I also must say I haven't read any books regarding it yet so far. Haven't read anything by Marx or Lenin for example.
I started Das Kapital, but it's very dense or how should I say. Tough to read through.
sk
Yeah Capital is heavy stuff. I started reading The State And Revolution, but I don't remember anything of it, I only got a few pages in
There's SO much to read, and I just don't feel like I have the time to
I mostly want to read to become more secure in my positions though, I don't think I'll move much at this point. Feels like I'm at my end stage in terms of personal beliefs. If anything changes, it'd be praxis
Anno
I feel like I just started the exploration. There indeed SO many books and a lot of them hold different ideas. I'd like to get an idea of most of those ideas and see what I think makes sense or not according ot me at least. Praxis is also a big topic of dicussions and with maybe even more different ideas.
sk
Praxis is super important to anarchists in general, a little bit less to other tendencies Though technically, it's not that they see praxis as less important, it's that their praxis is significantly different Anarchist praxis is very heavy with direct action, but DemSocs are like, no direct action beyond a few nearly universal types I'm not entirely sure where I am on reformism, though I have a vague idea, as an example
sk
Though we should probably can this discussion here, hah

I have to start providing therapy next session but I missed two /// next semester but I missed two of the four admin trainings for it because I didn't know they existed lol So I have to try to figure out what to do with that And I went like a month without my meds because it felt so good and got overconfident that i could take exams without them and couldn't focus on my exam lol But like idk how much I care anymore I'm pretty sure I can do it but if I can't, idk, I'll become a train engineer or something

damn son, hope you can retake those two
been thinking about getting intoa trade too actually, not sure if academics is 4 me
Kirara 🦃
I like academics but I hate classes. I can do pretty much everything but assignments and exams without my medication and I really just want to feel good all the time so taking my medication is kind of unattractive.
I feel like just having a job would be a more manageable kind of stress and it'd be nice if people didn't have high expectations of me.
Are you still doing chemistry stuff?

Ah yeah I can understand that. Depends on the job of course
yeah I'm doing a materials engineering master, the idea is to make novel materials and stuff like that
Kirara 🦃
That sounds like some cool shit. So like, new plastics or metals, and stuff?

yeah I can imagine if you're anything like me I'm so glad I haven't had any boring coursework so far, that's just impossible unless it's groupwork
Kirara 🦃
I have to take two semesters of stats that I already know it's research methods technically Like we're a month away from the end of the first semester of it and we're talking about correlations and shit I was running correlations like 5 years ago but we can't test out of the class because the APA says we can't so it's soooooooo boring
Anno
shitty deal at least it's easy, but I guess that makes it even more boring
Kirara 🦃
It'd be alright if there wasn't a lab component the lab has all these assignments where we have to use a program called SPSS but i mastered that years ago and it's like thousands of dollars so i have to do the assignments at school because i don't have the program at home so it's such a waste of timeeeeee
I got a class of psychopharmacology which was pretty sweet though

Anno
doesn't sound familiar and a quick scan of wikipedia doesn't help either I haven't really done any computational things, mostly basic functions
Well I don't know for sure, but i know several materials guys.
Anno
From a look at the coarses I can take, it doesn't seem like I'll get any computational things. They mostly seem to be about the concepts and so far it's been approximations
FormerRei@mobile
Basically everything quantum more complicated than a hydrogen atom is an approximation. You can't solve that stuff exactly.
Anno
that seems to be a recurring theme for many things
Anno
I followed colloidal chemistry this quarter and they were pretty much only approximations. Some were better than others, but exact solutions were very rare.
FormerRei@mobile
Anyways computational methods are how you get the approximations Unless you like Wanna spend five decades solving hamiltonians by hand with pen, paper and a calculator
Anno
Can't think of anything more fun than that
FormerRei@mobile

yeah fuck word and their mum in that time you could've had a pretty good grasp at latex
Kirara 🦃
Def I'm gonna have to sit down and learn it some day, probably on a weekend or something it's kind of a pain to learn new shit though haha
Anno
yeah for sure my suggestion would be to just use it for your next assignment you'd normally use word for or maybe try making your resume with LaTeX and remember, for problems a search engine is really your friend which is double true for latex problems
Kirara 🦃
That's probably a good idea I learn best through trial and error and jumping in and fucking up
Anno
yeah me too I just started turning in all my assignments made with LaTeX and now I'm pretty "good " at it
I still copy old templates to remember a lot of things
Anno
also did my bachelor thesis with LaTeXerino
Kirara 🦃
yeah i figure knowing how to do stuff is where i want to be but not necessarily remembering how to do it all from scratch that's how i was when i did HTML and CSS and ActionScript in flash just know how to use stuff and then have my pre-done working templates to move around and edit where needed
what'd you do your bachelor thesis on?
Anno
it was on the interaction of a solute in a solvent with a membrane. The membrane was coated in a way with a certain polymer on the top surface and in the pores and my task was to find a way to remove the polymer just from the top, but keep it in the pores. Then see the differences.
Not really proud of the work I did, I slacked a bit too much and didn't get enough results. I passed so I guess I got that going for me
Anno
this is a good schematic drawing of it then I tested the performance of both
Kirara 🦃
Cool stuff. Did you have to do a bachelor thesis or did you opt-in for it?
Anno
It's required yeah gotta do a master's thesis too, but I think that is more common
Kirara 🦃
Bachelor thesis wasn't required at my school, but I could have opted in to it I had an option between doing an internship thing and the thesis and I did the internship thing
I have to do a thesis for my doctorate I think I start working on that next year
Anno
>>330932 oh, nevermind i thought you said mats was shit, especially semiconductors was about to slap you're shit
Anno
>>330979 difficult choice in my second year of my master's I have to do an intership too and then a thesis best of both worlds I guess
Doctorates are always thesis I think, but maybe it differs per school and research area. The ones I've seen so far is that you spend 4 years on 4 research papers that together make one whole.
what the heck do they mean by "buy a dissertation" this company pinged my outreach for an editorial position fuckin ay
Kirara 🦃
>>330981 I have to do the thesis/dissertation and a year internship for my doctorate And a lot of clinical experience before that, too, haha
>>330982 >Whether you are a Master’s or PhD student, writing a big dissertation can be an absolute nightmare. However, you don’t need to worry if you buy a dissertation model online from Ultius. wow what the hell
Anno
it apparently pays $11 a page to be a writer they didn't even send me info on being an editor pay not that i'd want to lmao yeah dude lemme just write someone's dissertation for 11 dollars a page
Anno
>>330983 must be different for your profession then yeah
>>330984 lol that's fucking cheap will they interpret my results too or would I have to type that out for them?
Kirara 🦃
that's such a ripoff
>>330985 yeah, mine's a clinical doctorate, not a research doctorate
Anno
they probably fake the results for you
Anno
>>330986 will you be addressed as Dr. Imats when the government sends you letters afterwards?
>>330987 how convenient, don't even have to do research
Anno
lemme just write this dissertation that has to pass as someone who has completed their doctorate classes for 11 dollars a page
i'm kinda tempted -- we should each pool in a few dollars and ask them to write us a short dissertation and see what it's like
Kirara 🦃
>>330988 yeah i'll be dr imats and every time someone calls me mr i'm gonna punch them and be like I DIDNT GO TO SCHOOL TO BE CALLED MR YOU SON OF A GUN
>>330989 yeah lol I really wonder how they think that'll work everyone reading that and at your defense will think it's high quality stuff
Anno
okay what field of study would we ask them first off we've got two physicists and a psychologist here? easy, we'll just say we're doing a graduate program in clinical thermodynamics
Anno
they don't seem to offer many options we can go for women's study
Kirara 🦃
there was that one publication on how global warming is sexist or melting the ice caps is sexist or it was something like that we could come up with something pretty out there with women's studies
Anno
how large breasts are sexist
Anno
lmao they have a refund policy like what "oh sorry, we screwed up your dissertation. well, here's your money back! no hard feelings"
Kirara 🦃
"i got kicked out of academia forever, i want my money back"
Anno
>Recently, President Obama and other Democratic members of Congress have strongly pushed for a critical discussion on gun control. Around the country, many teachers and professors are pushing their students to think about this subject and write at length about ways to limit gun violence. By no means are these papers easy to write; due to the emotional ramifications of this issue, writing a paper on gun control must be done in a very professional manner. So consider buying a research paper on gun control with Ultius and feel at ease knowing your sample paper will be completed by a professional.
Anno
https://www.ultius.com/ultius-blog/entry/essay-on-childhood-trauma.html check out this research paper on childhood trauma i could do better than this in like half an hour
Anno
>Conclusion
Across the board, childhood trauma is a major contributor to serious psychological disorders. The damage was done to a child’s sense of security, contentment with his or herself, and ability to form relationships with others is profound and irreversible. In some cases, it is not even manageable. The effects of childhood trauma can manifest in several different ways, but whether it presents as PTSD, BPD, or DID, the physiological and psychological results of prolonged trauma can be traced back to early life harm and neglect.
sick conclusion dude i feel enlightened by your in depth analysis
Anno
They claim to have written hundreds of them I hope they're lying about that
Kirara 🦃
that's like undergrad level lol like bare minimum passing a class-tier
Anno
that shit wouldn't pass in high school tbh at least not in the regular classes maybe summer school
Anno
> We have written hundreds of dissertations as reference material for customers around the world
oh i see. it's "reference material" yeah because i need an english undergrad to help acquaint me with the resources and information of my field
AnnoAnno
lol I like that you can rate the discounts too
Anno
>decide in high school i like to write >tell my parents i want to be a writer as a career >go to university and study physics ??? >proceed to be a writer anyway
Anno
lol okay i'll stop with this now
Anno
oh god imagine actually relying on it
Anno
so desperate to explain, like anyone will care about why you fucked up you had 20 days motherh*ckers and there was an emergency so late that, when reassigned, they only had two hours to complete it? yeah okay
>>331011 like maintining the system or like a call center type of thing?
Anno
there sure are a lot of boobs on moe today it's good to have you back
Anno
missed u too bby
Anno
thank
Anno
who r u btw?
Anno
you read me the pied piper i think it was the pied piper
Anno
sugoi-san?
Anno
wow no renaldo moon
Anno
sorry bruv, I barely even remember doing it until you just told me
ToN
>>331012 call center except we call it access center because people hate hearing call center we dont even introduce ourselves as a center we say we're from the clinic theyre calling for
ToN
also its been a while since ive seen this many tiddies its like my twitter is open
Anno
>>331021 how're you liking it? my mum used to work for an access center too
luck stat helped because i got the lady who chewed out y superior for 26 minutes and managed to get her into an appointment in two weeks with someone booked until january
Anno
must be fun dealing with shitty people
ToN
its alright not a lot of them so far ive only been here for almost three weeks
Anno
oh that's not that long how does it pay?
ToN
more than my last job actually 11.75 usd per hour
Anno
is there much downtime or is it workworkwork i wish i had a job with downtime
Anno
not bad not bad
what do you currently work moon-san? still that speech to text thingy?
Anno
i do some transcription, yeah it's pretty decent pay but the tax is high because i'm my own business instead of an employee of a company i also do some market research and maybe some software consulting next spring
really i just do whatever pays
Anno
whatever pays huh?
I figured tax on businesses would be lower than regular employment tax shitty deal yo
Anno
it's pretty rough you guys might have higher tax rates there though but 45% tax is really rough for how little i'm making and we dont really get many benefits to reap like you guys do so i don't know what i'm paying
that's a very high rate for the first tax bracket yeah have you seen a tax consultant or something? maybe they can figure something out not like cayman through netherlands shit, but just regular stuff
Anno
i probably will have to im behind on my taxes at the moment and i dont wanna get in trouble for that by letting it get too behind part of that 45% is a flat tax though, so it's not a uniform 45% but the flat tax and then the rate on top worked out to about that for last year
Anno
that's p bullshit high for such an income
Anno
yeah i'm thinkin about branching out into new things this has been fun but only as a stepping stone i don't want this to be my career
what about you water you doin besides school
Anno
besides school not very much
my job doesn't have much hours anymore, but lately it's been a bit more. Mainly packing chemicals into big containers now. It's only a few hours a month now. Besides that I found joy in reading again, have read a few books now and still going so that's cool also been enjoying a few good movies, been watching a few cool foreign ones
Anno
nice which books
Anno
Sapiens from Yuval Harari, 1984 by mr Orwell, The Conquest of Bread by Petr Kropotkin, Anarchism and other essays by Emma Goldman and currently reading Anarchy Works. Last few are a bit political as you can see. Also read Vanished Man by Jeffert Deaver a bit ago, forgot about that one.
economics pretty much acts like a thermodynamic system anyway with lots of entropy sinks so econophysics should be doable toss in the NIMH rat city / mouse utopia experiments and i think you've got your behavioral econophysics
You play a bit of that huh I have that Paul Kelly thing next week
Anno
sammy if you see dis i got a really specific and relevant question for you or request rather as you've done this particular thing like twice now and i need da tips
whoa
Thank you for your service
Anno
your welcome
whoa
im gonna get me free ihop free applebees i wonder if anyone does dinner
>>331087 >only paying the hitman 2k Wow what a dummy. If you want the hitman to do a decent job you should be ponying up at least 10k. >hitman turns out to be friend of husband That's a hilarious coincidence
Anno
yeah i wouldnt do it for under 15k if they want it done clean
Maria
>>331089 The actual cost of performing the murder itself is probably at least 1k, and you're risking life in prison if you get caught. So I'd expect a lot more than 2k.
that shit actually happens a lot if you don't pay much the hitman will just be like, "yo, someone paid me this much to kill you. pay me more than that and i'll tell you who it was and not kill you"
i did it i killed a lynel in botw damn they hit hard
Anno
>>331100 there's a really good opening that i want to apply for but it's on the other side of the country and i'd have to relocate how does that really work how do you apply for it before you're there do you like put a blub // blurb in the CV or not mention it at all or how do you do it without sounding like a bad candidate
Anno
very specifically it's in sanny franny so relocation costs and having to spend time there prior to actually getting it are really expensive
ToN
>>331098 theyre wrong im watching a guy i like who likes good things and he's loving it >>331099 because >ALL OF THESE VOCAL TRACKS
>>331104 I don't really like Forces OST and that's usually the best thing about sonic games Did you buy Mania? That game was great.
ROLLIN AROUND AT THE SPEED OF SOUND. GOT PLACES TO GO GOTTA FOLLOW MY RAINBOW I started playing Adventure last night and it was really buggy But I like that because you can abuse the physics to skip massive chunks of the level
>>331109 I like that metal sonic is in it because he's the coolest sonic character
ToN
i did not buy mania
ToN
i have not wanted a sonic game unironically since like 2005
also forces just goes "fuck it every game is canon and we're using all of them" and i love that shit
Samu 😈 !KW2DbpWwls
>>331102 it's nbd just put your location city on your CV and it'll naturally come up during the process
YuuToN
Good evening rikaaaaaaaaaaaa
Yuu
Oh, look at this Yumeko. I may have to get this one.
>>>/watch?v=WSQltTvfTHY Isn't it a pity Isn't it a shame How we break each other's hearts And cause each other pain
ToN
CAUSE IF YOURE MESSING WITH ME I AM A DANGEROUS WEAPON I AM THE SHARPEST OF BLADES ILL CUT YOU DOWN IN A SECOND
Yuu
Lots of horse emblem tonight. I'm beating them but I don't like fighting horses.
ToN
I think my second nephenee isnt technically ideal but is moreso than my last one so I guess ill make her a twin pal
Yuu
I hope Amelia doesn't lose by giving Shanna a last hour bonus.
Yuu
Oh yeah, that's what's going to happen. How sad.
Kirara 🦃
a victim to mechanics
Yuu
That's sad! Oh well. I guess I'll be on team Takumi next time.
Yuu
Actually I'm not sure that Shanna has the bonus now. I don't think you can get a bonus two hours in a row, and I know she had one last hour.
Koi-
You can.
Yuu
Oh, does Shanna have a bonus? I have a feeling you know, you villain.
Koi-
let me check
Koi-
7.5x
Koi-
takumi has multiplier in final hour too, wow. That sucks, Soren deserves a win
Yuu
The shitposting is going to be INCREDIBLE on both sides. Butthurt lobsterfags are going to shitpost really hard about Soren losing. Everyone will be shitposting about Amelia losing since she was the favorite to win.
Koi-
I didn't really think about this match at all but The more I do, the more it feels like Soren should have been Well, I guess Amelia is a girl and is strong in game. But I don't have her and have rarely had to fight her. so she's on the whatever list to me
Koi-
But this whole match is on the whatever list to me
ToN
this is cute
Kirara 🦃Yuu
well, it sucks that Amelia is going to lose. That said, the gauntlet would be a lot more boring if the popular candidate won every time.
>>331176 Yeah I was wondering why you disconnected halfway through My friend disconnected on the second to last hand because he had to be somewhere So it ended with me and some guy from /jp/ playing against two autodiscards
>>331179 yeah you were like "wait i'll find someone" and i'm like "oh no i hope it's quick" and by the first hand i was getting the droopy eyelids i get real sleepy these days
Maria
>>331191 yeah I found someone as soon as you said "this ain't happening" bad timing
AnnoKoi-
soren lost what a sham
Kirara 🦃Yuu
>>331194 The same thing happened to him that happened to Amelia.
Anno
So when I left for class this afternoon, I scoffed at the notion that it would get cold enough and weathery enough to snow.
