I'm okay. I'm doing some work right now, and then I'll head to a small party.

I'm cheesing the 5 orb Oboro quest.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
It's just a short, little celebration thing. There will be a cake and people will putz around for a little bit until they get bored and go home.
I already have a level 22 4* Oboro that I'll probably use for that quest.
ToN
hello rika good sunday to you
Yuu
Mine was level 1 4star. I heard there was a completely defenseless healer unit on 8-5. It's kinda stamina intensive but it beats training Oboro.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
I'll probably just use weak units to lower the HP of enemies in training tower and have Oboro finish it. It'll be easy since you can just refresh until you get an enemy team of all sword users.
Yuu
I heard the choose your legends banner was coming up. That means we'll probably see units like Lucina, Ike, Lyn, and whoever the second most popular male unit was. I want to try to get Lucina. I didn't like her in Awakening that much, but she's more mellow in FEH and has grown on me a bit since I rolled her like three times at the start.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
The top three were Ike, Roy, and Hector for men and Lyn, Lucina, and Tharja for women.
So that means we'll get new Ike, Roy, Lyn, and Lucina characters.

>>253560 More or less. I should be working, but my medicine's worn off, so I don't have the attention span for it.
Yuu
>>253562 Oh, I see. How long does your medicine last?
Koi-Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
>>253563 In general, about 12 hours, but I only get the full effects for about 8 hours. After about 8 hours, my attention goes down a bit and slowly gets worse for the next 4 hours. After about 10 hours, my impulse control decreases substantially for /// sort of suddenly and then slowly gets worse as the rest of my medication wears off. It's really a lot of trouble to be so limited.
>>253567 My prescribed dose is just 50mg once a day. I can do more than that, but I don't get any significant benefits from taking 100mg at once or anything. I can also take a second capsule after/during my first one's wearing off although that's not taking it as prescribed and technically prescription medication abuse. I've done that a few times during critical situations where I needed to be able to work nonstop for long periods of time, but doing that more-or-less puts me out of commission for two or three days afterwards because it's so hard on my body and especially my heart. I can still work after that, but I get so exhausted that I'm not as effective as if I hadn't screwed with my dosing.
Maria
>>253565 What's the name of the med you use? Is it ritalin?
Kirara☆
Vyvanse. I developed an immunity to Ritalin in fourth grade. For most of my life, I was on Adderall. Vyvanse is by far the best.
Maria
I used ritalin for a bit as a kid but my mum said it made me into a zombie >immunity I didn't know you could develop an immunity to drugs
Kirara☆
A tolerance so high that you can't get the effects from a clinical dose might as well be considered an immunity.
Kirara☆Yuu
I was on ritalin for like a week in third grade. They said I was like a robot on it and took me off of it.
Maria
>>253574 I wonder if we could use it for screaming kids on planes
Kirara☆
No. It would make them worse in most cases. Ritalin is a stimulant. The effects it has on someone like Rika or me are due to chemical imbalances our brains. It has the opposite effect on most people.
Ritalin is also incredibly dependent on an individual's brain chemistry so the efficacy is fairly variable.

Maria
>>253577 good night >>253576 huh. I thought it just made peoples brains slow down
I think it's one of those things that you don't quite realise how it is because it's the only thing you've ever known
Kirara☆
>>253578 Mine is really severe. One of the reasons I used to be so obsessed with rules was because I was afraid that without rules, I would do bad things on impulse because I had no impulse control.
I can function well unmedicated, I just have no attention span. It's hard for me to do anything that requires my full attention. Reading is difficult because every time I lose interest in a paragraph, I have to deal with urges to check my phone or walk around or something. I have poorer emotional control without my medication, too. Not being on it makes me much more gregarious but it also makes me more likely to impulsively say something that's not socially appropriate.
Within my medication, I wouldn't be able to succeed in school. I definitely feel limited but I'm glad I am who I am, so I'm not wishing I didn't have ADHD or anything.
Do you have ADD or ADHD? The fact that mine is plain regular ADD is one of the reasons I've always chalked up as to why I don't feel much impairment from it.
Kirara☆
ADHD - although both are categorized the same now.
The hyperactive component is part of what makes it so hard for me. My mind is too fast for eyes. It definitely worsens my intention, although I'm also hypervigilant, so my attention shifts constantly with purpose generally.
Maria
Is it normal to feel the need to constantly switch attention from one task to another I can't just sit down and read some lecture notes, it ends up being reading a page and then switching to an imageboard or something then switching back But I dunno if that's adhd or just laziness since I haven't talked to a doctor or anyone about adhd since I was a kid
>>253582 Is your brain constantly switching topics?
Kirara☆
Yeah. Without my medication, it takes a lot of effort to think things through properly because I have to pay close attention to the relevancy of new thoughts to the topic so I don't get off topic.
Yuu
I guess the hyperactive part is hard. I tend to play with stuff and fidget with stuff but it's not too hard to pay attention to stuff. I feel like my mind has three tracks. It's hard to put all three to work on the same thing unless it's very interesting, but I can usually have two on a task pretty easily and the third one is doing whatever. Two thirds of my attention is enough to do most things.
Kirara☆
I generally feel like I have a hundred tracks in my head, all paying attention to something different. I have to constantly switch between streams and try to prioritize things. It makes thinking difficult sometimes because I lose track of myself or the topic and I'm easily distracted.
But because of that, I can play phone games in class and still learn everything from the lecture without any trouble.
Most of my difficulties are related to writing and reading.
Koi-
>>253566 that's why you gotta put soft things on it
Anno
I can have a hard time keeping focus on things that don't provide a reward cycle--or whatever that cycle in video games that encourages interest by setting goals and providing reward is called again.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
Isn't that then orm for practically everyone?
Maria
>>253588 video games are nice because they give constant returns It's different to something like studying where the grade is something you might see in a month
Yuu
>>253586 100 seems like a lot. I've always felt that mine is mild because I lack hyperactivity. I'm glad I do!
Anno
>>253590 There's an actual phrase for that feedback loop but it's escaping me at the moment.
I don't think I suffer from a particularly drastic case of ADD but I do definitely feel like my ability to act on things is reduced because it's hard to build up the constant focus on it. Even things I -like- doing, but aren't particularly "fun", like writing or drawing, can be really hard to do because I'll get distracted or lose focus before hitting a point where I feel I've achieved a reward out of the process.
>>253591 It's a lot! On psychological measures of psychomotor speed, my mind is way faster than normal people. The speed of my mind is basically a speed you would expect to see in someone in a hypomanic state, but always that fast. Even medication doesn't slow my mind down. My ADHD meds don't, at least.
I honestly can't imagine what it's like to think more slowly but I feel like it must be terrible. I do have to set a lot of rules for myself in order to function at a basic level, though.
Yuu
It's weird to think that people thing at different speeds. I think the speed at which I think is variable.
Kirara☆
When I used promithazine, my thoughts felt very slow. It was really terrible.
The only way for me to stop thinking is to talk or listen to music and sing along. Sometimes those don't work, though. I can't sleep unless I have music on that I can focus on or if I talk with someone until I fall asleep most of the time.
Anno
I'm glad I don't have it that bad at least. My brain works really, really hard to keep me awake at night all the same though. Laying in bed is one of the worst things I can do since it frees up my body from any other occupying activity it might be doing. And that opens the floodgates for all sorts of thoughts.
Kirara☆
I fall asleep with headphones on if I am in a hotel haha Sleeping is so hard sometimes Fish is good at talking me to sleep though
But I always feel like it's such a waste Thinking is really pleasurable
Anno
Depends on the thoughts. I've thought up some really good ideas while laying in bed trying to sleep, sure. But that's also when the invasive thoughts that give me a lot of anxiety tend to come at me in full force. Trying to fall asleep while also trying to handle those isn't very fun. Or easy.
>>253599 That's probably rougher than my problem. I don't have anxiety provoking intrusive thought (usually) For me, it's just philosophy or politics or psychology frequently it's focused self-reflection
Anno
When I don't have something to focus in my thoughts they tend to just jump arbitrarily from one topic to another. I'll go to bed figuring I'll mull over a story thread idea or a picture in my mind but next thing I know I'm thinking about some random snippet of information from what I picked up during the day. And then I slip on one of the trigger points for anxiety and then I fall down that rabbit hole.
Kirara☆
Too bad we can't just hit a sleep or hibernate button.
Anno
Yeah. I wish I could do something like read in bed 'till I fall asleep, but I can't read in darkness and I shouldn't keep my light on 24/7.

Samu 🐬 !KW2DbpWwls

Sam, do you like Joel Plaskett at all? He's probably my favorite contemporary Canadian musician.
hey sammers, when you're writing exceptionally long and not innovative batches of code, how do you keep from making logistical keystroke erros i mean, just paying attention obviously but when you've got shit that's so massively long i guess the coding programs have all those neat little colors that light up with whatever thing you're trying to make
but i do these transcripts and sometimes they're like 200 pages long how easy it is just to fuck up a quotation mark or STart a sentence with two capital letters all the dumb little shit i wonder how much of it slips by without me noticing i'd be scared to check and see

Kirara☆TN !PcAPtAiNJo
>>253969 Next you say you have strategy games on console.
Anno
Disgaea is a strategy game that for the longest time was solely on console and it plays more than fine. Fire Emblem and Advance Wars are both great strategy games too for that matter.
>>253974 And? The arguement was one of an ad hominen because of some implication that strategy games on consoles don't work. Nothing about turn-based was brought up.
Maria
>>253976 Stratergy games involving real time combat involve precise choosing and co-ordinating. This is simply easier to do with a mouse and keyboard. The fact that Disgaea is turn based makes this easier. When TN said stratergy games he likely wasn't implying turn based SRPGs. So really Disgaea isn't even relevant to what he was talkingabout.
Kirara☆
I think consoles are fine for every type of game with the exception of FPS which require mouse precision. Even FPS on a console can be fun though.
Being an elitist over this is silly.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo

Yeah it is ad hominem cause I ain't arguing I am insulting you
Anno
for what purpose why are you being pointlessly inflammatory
Anno
>>253978 I'm still far more comfortable playing FPS games with a controller. I don't deny the precision gained (at least in an ideal situation) with a mouse, but I can move a lot more fluidly with a controller I find. Also I don't really get the additional precision anyway because my detached hand-eye coordination isn't very good.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
boredom I guess also the plain amusing fact of owning a game on console and pc a real waste of money
Maria
>>253978 I like DOOM on console. It doesn't need very precise aiming since you sorta just point in the general direction of the demons. Although really there's no reason why we shouldn't be able to just plug in a usb mouse and keyboard and set them up on a table.
And there's no reason why you can't use a controller on a pc So this shouldn't have to be a factor in choosing between a console or a pc
Kirara☆
A lot of games suck without a controller too like dark souls or metal gear solid 5 strategy games are fine with a controller
In fact, people are encouraged to play them with aa controller - the steam controller
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
but biggest sin of d3 is that you can't play it with just mouse d2 was fun no efforter since you could play it with just your mouse.

Kirara☆
There's no official statement of the length of the show but they're turning it into a large multimedia project It's high budget so I think there's a possibility of a second cour
Plus the episodes are all "case numbers" and have all been under 20 I'm thinking there will be 24 episodes just out of order
Anno
And then maybe have the last four or three or whatever aired at the end of the run for a proper conclusion.
Anno
>>254012 it also doesn't cost anything but a corpse which is generated when you kill anything even the small horde monsters make a corpse and casting this spell kills pretty much whatever and the corpse doesn't even have to be near you it can be 50 yards away behind a wall and it will go through shit to hit your target
TN !PcAPtAiNJo

Kirara☆
a lot of people have been trying kratom as a replacement for caffeine and I've heard some good things but frequent use can lead to dependency
sk
Supposedly you can get straight up RCs at gas stations somewhere in the US
Anno
>>254042 I don't really get trying to find replacements for caffeine. It's not like the easiest forms of imbibing the stuff is difficult, expensive, or terribly dangerous. And there aren't a lot of people like you out there that can't really get a lot of the stuff.

no, it doesn't
Anno
i haven't heard anything crazy about it except that it has a low level where the effect changes from stimulant to sedative
sk
>>254054 I guess I'm misinformed then, or confusing it with a different substance
Anno
I haven't even heard of kratom before.
Kirara☆
it's a drug that works on opioid receptors that's legal usually made into tea or put into a drink different strains can have pain killing properties or stimulant properties and which effect you get depends on your dose
moon
>>254056 you're thinking of krokadil probably which only has those problems because it's so fuckin impure
sk
I like that high gear feeling in my head from stimulants so if it does that I'd at least want to try
Anno
>>254057 it's a plant in the same family as coffee or something similar but distinctive effects unlike a lot of stimulant drugs, the dosage level required for it to have a sedating effect is low enough that it's feasible to achieve without severe side effects
it's shown some promising results when used as a weaning agent for heroin addicts
like people thinking high-functioning means superhuman function like BBC sherlock or some shit it just means they're -- you know what it means fuck but it got me thinking that i could really use something like those services i wish i had that so that i can be a workaholic and not lose all my shit and be confused all the time

No, Trump was praising Duterte's drug policy just a month or two ago. They had a phone call and became friends after that.
Duterte's drug policy is, of course, the most effective in the world as it involves murdering every drug dealer and anyone that does drugs. He encouraged family members to kill /// encouraged people to kill any of their family members or friends that were doing drugs, and many did. People were just murdering each other and planting drugs on them and getting away with it.
Now police can kill anyone they want to.
sk
Yeah, it's a pretty effective policy if nothing else
sk
What a fucking shitshow
moon
>>254111 obligatory man high on meth fights off 10 police while masturbating headline
A 17 year old boy was murdered under that drug policy, and 200+ people started protesting the drug policy at the boy's funeral, so Duterte decided they needed to be arrested.
But they resisted arrest so Duterte decided the best way to make sure that never happens again is to allow the police to kill anyone that resists arrest.
Duterte was elected, too. He talked about how he was devastated by a group sexual assault that occurred once, and he said he wished he had been able to have sex with the victim first. He did it completely openly and still was elected.
