>>167833 I don't worry about it, I'm just curious who unfollowed me when someone does Mostly because I wanna internally point a them and laugh because they got offended by a tweet I made or something
>>167843 my suggestion is to separate into a few different accounts and log into them based on what mode you're in tweet the open-ended thoughts, not the conclusions that you draw your brain's already using a few different systems to take in different queries and resolve them or compromise a resolution computationally, it's a short-sighted process, and letting each segment take over and pose a question out into the world for further reflection and refinement is a lot more ergonomic and communicable than someone reading a conclusion you draw and trying to parse the process in between twitter is a really impulsive thing, and i don't think it's bad that it's that way
>>167846 crave the conversation, not the reciprocation a finished idea is pretty glossed over. there's no friction posing an interesting question is way more engaging than posting a resolved thought i don't really care so much what someone's conclusions are about something because that doesn't even open it up for discussion by resolving a thought, you're closing the channel. people don't engage with closed channels unless they're willing to invest the energy to open a channel back up and channels tend to rest at lowest energy states, so it's usually dismissed instead unless you've got someone who's particularly stubborn and happens to have an intersecting channel open at the same time anything you're putting out externally should be an open channel, if you're looking for engagement that's the difference between a precipitate of a process and the construction of elements

It was way too much work. The person I was testing was really annoying. They were almost infuriating at some points.
And I forgot to put my phone on DnD before the test and forgot again in the break, so my phone kept vibrating because people were messaging me on Twitter and texting me. I had 14 texts from Fish when I finished.
During the Rorschach, they were firing off answers to quickly that I couldn't record them, so I asked them to stop and they kept going, so they wouldn't let me catch up. I admonished them for it and said that if I say "hold on", that means I need them to hold that thought so I can catch up.
And they had really poor coherence and were very circumstantial. They would give me a response, then another response, then elaborate on the first response without letting me know they were going back to the first response. And then they would describe the card when they ran out of things to see, like "This one is more colorful.. I don't know if that means anything." and was describing the symmetry and shit like that when it wasn't necessary but it's all important stuff that can be coded so I can't be like, "just do the fucking task"
It was really annoying.
Also I think she might be at risk for suicide? So now I have to do a bunch of extra work right now to make sure she's not because if she is, I have to contact her and offer her resourses.
I don't know why I can't just be involved with a normal, well-adjusted person for once in my life.
>>167933 A lot of /// The way she saw a lot of things was a style of thinking that is usually associated with high risk of suicide. They aren't warning signs exactly, but the test has a risk for suicide score and many of the responses she had looked like they met the criteria for it to me. I have to properly score it to make sure.
How much can you actually learn from a Rorschach test? I never knew you had a suicide score in it I thought it was kind of a silly thing where people can just see anything in any ink blob
>>167935 I posted this earlier to give an example of what you can get from it. These are notes I made to guide me through writing an interpretation, so there are some score names and stuff on it which looks confusing, but you can see what each thing means. Identifying information has obviously been removed from it https://pastebin.com/Lhh8FGv1
This is only stuff that was relevant for the interpretation, though, so there's a lot of stuff the Rorschach can measure that isn't included in those notes.
>>167937 It is, but the scores and scales are derived empirically and it's considered the most valid psychological test out there.
>>167938 Well if we're ever in the same place, I can administer it to you Rorschach is nice because it only takes like 1-1.5 hours unless the person is manic or something
You need to meet 8 out of 12 criteria to flag the suicide potential constellation. Things like morbid responses, color-shading blends, very few responses, few human representations, experienced stress being higher than psychological resources, things that suggest low self-esteem, etc It would be hard to explain how it works in detail because I'd have to more-or-less teach you the test haha
>>167946 Yeah. You have to watch their facial expressions, body language, and where they're pointing on the card all while you write down everything they say verbatim.
Not exactly random. There is a list of people from intro to psych classes that can participate for extra credit, and then some people are asked by friends of people in the program to volunteer so they do. I got someone that was a friend of someone in my program.

>>168682 It's got a bit more of rounded corners than the 6p. I can't say I dig that design choice as much. I don't need my phone to be a physical rectangle but I do kind of like it being closer to being one that that.
bangu
i mostly don't like the sides the rounded corners is fine by me but the sides seem like they are rounded out a bit from the bezel
bangu
there might be better options with other carriers but i don't want to give up google fi and buying a phone is probably more than just an aesthtic choice maybe aesthetic
I kind of like to get as close to an aesthetic ideal as I can for stuff I use on a constant basis. It won't necessarily make or break a choice for me but it will potentially make me very picky over stuff.
>>168686 I was having a hard time figuring if the sides are rounded outwards, or if the front face of the phone is sunken in just a tiny bit. If it's the latter, that can actually be a bit of a boon for when you drop a phone. If it lands face-down, the small ridge will keep the actual screen off the floor and can some times prevent a cracked screen from impact.

bangu
i'd say the one feature about my phone i'm left heartily unimpressed with i s the speaker and the overall output volume it probably matters more that i love loud music so much the camera on my phone is not bad, it's alright considering it was a 250 dollar phone and i have no contract is a pretty massive dealmaker though those two things combined are the reason i went for project fi and for a 250 dollar phone from 2015, i'd still prefer it over almost any other phone on the market right now the USB-C port was annoying until i bought a cable for home, work, friend's house, and a spare but the 45 minutes for a full charge from empty is hard to argue against
Anno
Cable incompatibility for devices is an eternal frustration, but I really like the type-C. Both for the charge speed and also because it's symmetrical. You can plug it in upside down or right side up and it fits either way. None of that specific direction of micro and mini USB.
bangu
i mean USB-C _is_ going to replace micro usb eventually

Ah is that so. I am too used to r/a/dio where the djs talk inbetween songs and it seems close to realtime.

The delay depends on a lot of factors. But usually it's about 30 seconds when I stream. There's also a possibility the restart affected it strangely.

We also have video streaming ALMOST working. Just... almost.

Wow fancy Video streaming sounds useful for group anime watching

It definitely can be. The only issue we used to have was getting it started on shorter things, so you'd miss intros and the like. I added a fallback mount that plays a static file, which works to tell you when the actual video starts, but you still have to refresh. And MPC doesn't handle it well at all. But VLC is decent enough with it...

There used to be a stream called gundam from Japan back years ago. that would stream live tv from Japan and you could catch anime on it. it died probably sometime in 2008 But it was nice while it lasted, I had to use VLC to connect to it

I remember when people were streaming sub 240p stuff like Family Guy 24/7 on ShoutCast... But most of that can be done with re-encoding prior to putting it to stream. We live-encode to stream, which is what makes it so tricky.

Access issues are fixed, now to fix everything else...
I hear good things about AKG, and they do look comfy. I also appreciate the "open back" design. I hope it's not like the MDR-V6 where I heard great things and hated them.
Though, I own a pair of Grado SR-60i that I've modified in a number of ways. If my grandfather ever gets healthy enough, I'm going to machine some aluminum cups, too.
I had Audio-Technica ATH AD700 which I got back in 2013 but they broke when I moved and I've been using shitty sony headphones that snapped recently. It is nice to use decent headphones now.
These headphones feel like they are made for big heads but they fit on fine. It had to adjust them down to my headsize

I had to buy the headband for the Grados. So it's some shitty over-priced Radioshack headphones (confirmed to fit) headband that is already falling apart.

Now that's all done, I think I'm gonna go lay down and sleep. It's also way too quiet around here.
Pure aidorus are made of sparkles and dreams. Talking about sexy legs is like heresy unless you are a sexy-kei aidoru Which I guess is forgivabe. *forgivable
