Also a pro tip if you're trying to generate a larger than default image, but also want to mill through a bunch, resulting in the damn thing telling you "not enough ram for that, buddy" Increasing batch size seems to tell it to run more images in parallel, or at least allocate memory to them all in some capacity But if you instead just pump the number of batches, it works just fine, provided you have the ram to at least make one image of your desired resolution
It's also perfectly fine to just use the hires fix option, which basically just generates the image at a lower res first, and then upscales it In and of itself, this isn't really a time save or anything like that, but the resolution you generate at is an important variable, you get completely different images even with the same ratio if the actual numbers are different Basically, mill through and tinker with the settings on a lower res that's still at least the ratio you ultimately want, and when you're satisfied, just copy the seed of the image, and set the hires fix to multiply with the appropriate amount to get your Big Image I'm sure if you really push it by trying to upscale a damn postage stamp to a wallpaper, you're gonna get bodied, but at least in the 2-3x range, it works surprisingly well

It turns out the sampling method you use when generating anime girls is very important, as well Euler Ancestral, for example, is like, SUPER varied depending on the amount of steps, even within the same seed and prompt and everything Regular Euler is less varied, but the step amount makes it varied in like, detail for lack of a better word And there's a lot more of these things
A lesser enjoyer of cute anime girls might say the jacket is a mistake there, but I actually kinda am into the design it sorta fucked itself into It's obviously not functional as drawn, but having two zippers for the lower and upper half sorta offset like that is kinda cool honestly
Though, an obvious issue is you can't tell it to do something there isn't a way to tag yourself into
yeah running through the stable diffusion webui the CFG scale seems to ideally be between 8 and 12, though you CAN get some good results outside that boundary Lower can get kinda crazy, but above is uh, it turns out really bad a lot of the time Like this is it at 20 >>1082094 this one's at 8
It kinda gets like, oversaturated and fucked up But you CAN get some good results as long as you don't go too high or too low
really the lower end is less of a problem because the quality turns shitty, and more because the setting controls how closely it sticks to the prompt So higher ones end up with increasingly literal interpretations of your prompt, while lower... I mean This one's at 1, which is obviously a real edge case, but still It kinda just goes crazy

both it and the step count are good to mess around with a little bit once you've found a prompt and seed combo that spat out something like what you wanted though, and you just sorta get a feel for which one to change Though mostly I end up leaving the CFG around 8 or 10, and I just mill through seeds like 5-10 at a time at a low step count until I find something decent

it does also, technically, support like, using one image as a template, but that one's real finnicky and I haven't been able to get any particularly good results, and also I don't really know how to use it properly

It takes the image adds a bunch of noise to make it all fuzzy and then tries to redraw using the prompt Depending on how much noise you use you can even uss stick figures to design a pose
Yeah, basically I'm just not sure how to use it properly, that's all But I imagine once I put some time into it, I could generate images a lot closer to what I want
It's nice for generating like, wallpapers and the like though My GPU isn't powerful enough to actually do anything beyond 1920x1080 or the reverse, but that's still actually fairly decent

I am kinda surprised at which characters it does and doesn't know, though I mean I'm sure you can like, brute force your way into whatever if you put in the time to fully tag it in detail, but for some characters it's like "sakura kyouko? yeah I know who she is, here she is"

honestly also impressive how well it handles arbitrary resolutions I'd have imagined it wouldn't be very good at it, but so far the only way I've seen resolution affect the quality of an output is just like Bigger resolution, better quality
