I can't figure out rating stuff it just completely fizzes in my head. But Kimi no na wa is really excellent for me. There's a kind of emotional yearning I kind of feel Makoto Shinkai gets that I'm particularly receptive to. All his works kind of embody an emotional dissatisfaction and how the characters cope or resolve it. Like with 5cm/s the male lead spends the entire later two-thirds of the movie pining for his first real crush and that inability to find closure is what makes the movie bittersweet. Kimi no na wa has a lot of that emotional pining too but instead the characters actually take action.
I kinda lost track of my focus in this post it's hard to watch anime, type a coherent argument, and deal with a whiny cat who's soaking wet. I'm just gonna go back to anime I like this show.

Unless Higurashi somehow fumbles right at the end it deserves to be on there. I'd put Fang of the Sun Dougram on there. That's a show which has a lot of production flaws, but presents a really politically rich world and handles its central conflict in a way that I find to be depressing in how real it feels. I'd put Texhnolyze up there. Casshern Sins as well. Cassherns sense of atmosphere and its ongoing exploration of death is really good. I'd also put Haibanei Renmei on there as well. I think that's a show that stands out. I'd put the original Mobile Suit Gundam, War in the Pocket, and Reconguista in G up as well. G-reco is a really divisive show and I know there's a lot of people who would call it outright bad, but I find a lot of the things people dislike about it, like its disdain for exposition, the confusing nature of the show, and the gottagofast pacing to all be really fascinating. It all works to present war and politics as the jumbled mess that is and I love it. I think I'd also put Hidamari Sketch up as being a show I consider to be above others. I actually find it a little boring, but I think it's still executed really well with how stylish it is and there's this gentle nostalgia to the show that's really a bit magical. I'd broadly say the same thing about k-on as well. I think I might actually put Bokurano up there too just because I really like the setup for that show. Picking out one character to die near the midpoint of every episode and structuring the whole show around how they deal with that leads to some really interesting character study stuff. The last things I'd chuck on the burner would just be Akagi and Kaiji

Classics don't always resonate well with people. There's a lot of stuff I don't really care about just because it was a marvel of animation in the time it was created. Like I'm fond of nice animation but by and large characterization and story writing are what impact me most in an anime. Probably followed up by aesthetic synergy; like a show doesn't need to be animated well if the aesthetic qualities like visuals, music/OST, audio details work well together to create an engaging experience. The actual quality of animation trails behind the rest of those.
And for a lot of the classics, they've got hokey stories and fairly bland characterization. The animation might look real neat and is cool to watch like a ten-second clip of to see the visual marvel but it just isn't worth it to me to get through a story and display I'm not engaged in just to watch pretty visuals.

and it's not even a new map they remade an old map and instead of using the old spawn locations they made new ones

i assume its happening because the map is from mw2 and mw2 just had proximity based respawn locations this one prefers spawning you where people aren't currently looking and the map has a big elevated tower in the center where you can see almost everything so that kind of fucks up the line of sight based spawns

He's a really smart kid. He's got a big future ahead of him if he can just come to terms with how unfair it is that he has something like that.
He reminds me of you a lot, Tilde. He's struggling in school because things just go a little wrong but then they snowball out of control because he can't get a handle on the first thing and his late work just builds up and his anxiety builds up until he feels overwhelmed and he just gets paralyzed.
