Anno
plus it's codeine+ paracetamol I'm generally wary of those two
>>779244 in that case you'd probably get sick from the acetaminophen/paracetamol before you get sick from the codeine codeine's the weakest opiate in the chain of chems derived from opium don't take more than 3000-4000mg acetaminophen/paracetamol in a day or it will seriously fuck your liver up even just taking the maximum dose for a while can kill you acetaminophen is really fucking bad for you that's why it's available over the counter
the codeine however won't do anything bad unless you take enough of it to cause respiratory depression or passing out and choking on your vomit per normal analgesic overdose casualties. but since codeine is so weak, you'd die from acute liver failure from acetaminophen poisoning long before you got high enough to pass out and choke to death.
Acute liver failure is caused by extreme liver necrosis which high doses of acetaminophen, alcohol abuse, cocaine abuse, niacin poisoning, and many other things can cause. In the case you took enough to cause it to kill your liver you wouldn't even know for a few days until your liver finally shuts down from the progression of liver tissue death after the lethal dose. Then as your liver has failed, your body would be unable to clear toxins from various sources out of itself and your blood, and you would experience an extremely painful death over a couple days as your organs shut down one by one. So don't take acetaminophen that shit is gay.
Anno
>>779245 oh yeah, I've heard about the slippery slope to paracetamol liver failure
>>779248 They add it into some prescription painkiller drugs as a fairly weak adjuvant to increase the effects of other chemicals but mainly as a way to deter people from abusing it since people usually know it can kill you. Some still do it anyways for whatever reason, but usually opiate abusers die from overdose and aspirating their own stomach acid or vomit and suffocating. >>779250 It's a vitamin they add to a lot of shit, especially to energy supplements.
Too much B3 can cause liver necrosis and eventual failure. The stories you may have heard of people dying from drinking a shit ton of energy drinks are due to this, the Niacin builds up in their system from consuming 200%-300% of the normal amount 5+ times a day. It's generally a harmless vitamin but if you get sufficient amounts of it every day for a long enough period of time it can begin to kill your liver trying to keep up with metabolizing and disposing of so much of it.
it's not that I don't care it's just I'm just not sure how to expand upon it other than wondering if you've considered working pharmacy I feel like I've read vitamin b3 somewhere while looking at those foul monster drinks and maybe seen it in a case of fatality, but all those reports seem to focus solely on the caffeine aspect
you could just say "shut the fuck up nerd" i thought about working in a pharmacy or something but never did anything about it just like everything else i am interested in monster energy and red bull and a bunch of other energy drinks and supplements have copious amounts of B vitamins of which B3 is the most hepatotoxic. caffeine by itself isn't really bad, although it can be dangerous for people with arhythmic hearts, high blood pressure, due to the stimulant effect. it is extremely safe for most people even in incredibly high doses, it will never kill you from caffeine poisoning unless you are consuming raw and pure caffeine powder. though it raises the risk of cardiac arrest and stroke if you're predispositioned for them. more heinously, caffeine can exacerbate the process of liver necrosis, which can be caused by the ingredients in the aforementioned drinks. that is probably why there are those fringe cases of people drinking energy drinks and dying and not any from mere vitamin supplement overuse. there was one guy from australia I think who died from pure caffeine overdose, but he was putting caffeine powder in a shake mistaking it for protein powder, and it's pretty much impossible to ingest 30 grams worth of caffeine from normal sources.
Anno
>>779254 I try not to be rude when I can how are you enjoying the online so far >but he was putting caffeine powder in a shake mistaking it for protein powder, and it's pretty much impossible to ingest 30 grams worth of caffeine from normal sources. holy fug
yeah he was drunk and wanted to make a protein shake to help him sober up and he put some caffeine isolate powder he had gotten a while ago instead of protein powder in there the last thing he said before they found him dead in his bathroom was in a chat to his friends "this shake tastes bad"
Anno
the new cod wasn't it? or are you playing something else now
oh yeah that is fun the online is really nice there's tons of gamemodes now and they keep releasing free maps and stuff too and there's even crossplay between platforms so it's really easy to find any kind of game
>>779259 yeah i was able to play with a friend of mine i used to play CoD with a lot even though he has it on the xbox and i bought it for PC he said he turned off crossplay because he didn't want to get stomped by pc players but it seems somewhat balanced console players get better recoil control on target and pc players get the possibility to be much more aware and look around faster i've killed a bunch of people just because i heard them directly behind me and immediately did a 180 and shot them and that's kind of hard with a joystick for example but i've also lost control of my recoil and died in a firefight against a console player because they had the aim assist keeping them on target too
it works well i think mainly because CoD isn't all about aim and performance strictly it's much more important to have good positioning and situational awareness or adaptation since killing people is so easy so the difference between console plebs and pc players isn't quite as huge as with CS:GO for example
>>779268 Probably not, all fresh food is delivered in packaging to prevent contamination! If it isn't some kind of buffet deal where they need to keep putting tons of stuff out they usually leave it in the butcher/fishery packaging until it's thawed.
If it's fresh then why is it frozen I thought that it stops counting as fresh if it was frozen My only evidence for this is watching a lot of Kitchen Nightmares episodes where Ramsey shouts at a chef for calling frozen fish fresh fish
>>779270\ Fun fact: Unless it's butchered and chilled then cooked the same fucking day, it's not fresh fucking food. Restaurants almost always either freeze exotic imported foods even if they are technically 'fresh' and were caught one or two days before serving because it's safer. Only locally sourced meat can be chilled and served later safely. There are places you can eat that offer actually fresh food, but the colloquialism of "Fresh not frozen" generally means they don't freeze their product for weeks before thawing and cooking.
The important point is that we don't know for sure that it was wrapped in packaging! My guy followed orders to the letter and is thus innocent. Deserves a payrise even.
>>779271 >for weeks How long could a fish be frozen for before you'd not be willing to eat it
>>779274 >6-7 months in the freezer I know it's technically safe but boy I'd really rather not
Anno
>>779271 Would be more accurate to say "Frozen not deep freeze'd"
>>779272 It depends on the fish, though fish in general start tasting bad pretty quickly compared to how long you can freeze other meat. Smaller fish like tilapia or shrimp or lobster etc not longer than 2-3 months in controlled freeze. Larger fish like salmon and catfish and bass maybe 4 months tops. But it's better to just get some fresh fish in any case.
Other meats like Deer and Elk can last 6-7 months in the freezer without losing much flavor. Wild hog lasts a similar length. Game bird such as quail lasts a much shorter time, maybe 1.5-2 months max. Game bird is a bit iffy in taste though. >>779272 I'm not speaking of safety, I'm speaking of how long it can be frozen and still come out and get cooked and taste good. You can freeze pretty much anything for years. But it's going to taste fucking weird and bad, even though there's no bacteria grown in it, because the frozen ice crystals damage the molecular structure of the meat and therefore the flavor.
>>779273 Not even, they just mean they don't deep freeze their product once it gets to them. Or rather, they don't freeze it. It arrives chilled and thawed, is cooked and thawed, and don't question where it came from or how old it is or any of that shit. If meat's kept well enough and doesn't experience more than one freeze and thaw period, it can taste pretty close to fresh. Many fast food places receive and freeze their product but it doesn't really make a difference if they receive chilled or frozen product and proceed to either chill or freeze it, the distributor has likely already received the cuts frozen from the butchery that received the carcasses in the first place. Then they process the cuts into patties or other product and refreeze or chill and send it out. It's basically impossible to have something that has never been frozen that isn't locally sourced.
Which is why you should just hunt your own meat. It's pretty cheap you know. Even with a butcher's fee of $100-$150 to cut and process a large elk it only cost me $1.30 per pound of meat last year. Might be a bit expensive depending on where you live but it's definitely the cheapest source of meat here.
I hope to go with my dad and cousin and get a good one this year too.

That's not easily fixable tbh for some reason the panel adjusting thing is... it's just really weird in CSP. JaPAN
>>779782 sword saint would fuck sans undertale up 1v1 don't @ me
Four will protect you four will try to kill you choose wisely
Anno
I guess I'll go centurian
Maria
>>779813 I pick the horse archer and the ottoman and the hoplite and the viking Samurai, crusader, and the centurions are no gos since they have those massive head pieces that look like they'll weigh them down Mongol horse archer comes with a horse and a bow and arrow, ottoman also has a bow and arrow. Hoplite has a spear and shield and viking has a sword and shield.
>>779816 That at least protects her face Crusader and samurais just look pretty
>>779815 The sikh, the centurion and the samurai all lack shields so you can easily just pick them off with the archers before gangrushing the crusader Optimum strat
also added bonus that janissars are not just soldiers like tge rest, that can vary from forced conscripts to veterans janies are elites guaranteed discipline and vet
you do your tier 1s i go for t3 fully gold vetted
JaPAN
>>779813 ottoman samurai hoplite mongols arrows and honorabu duels
JaPAN
>>779821 there's only really a short period where samurai and firing squads coexisted in Japan either they sucked with guns or got better guns and got rid of samurai
>>779871 but he can't fish while fighting and he can't really fight either
Maria
>they all drop in >no one can actually understand what they're all saying since they speak different languages >no one knows what they're doing or whose side they're on
JaPAN
>>779872 grorious nippon samurai will be more than enough for any challenge
!C0.PerkELE
>>779874 crusader and centurion could use latin i guess hoplite and hanissar greece depending on which period centurion, she'd might know greece too as ot was more vommon than latin in the empire
!C0.PerkELE
so the true choice is cent, crus, hop, jan as they can potentially co-operate while the remaining four speak different languages with no relation to each other
rook
I was gonna get up and get water but this cat jumped in my lap nothing in life prepared me for this matchup I lose every fucking time
JaPAN
>>779891 but then i got high my throat is still a desert and I KNOW WHYYY-HEYHAYYYY
>>779891 The only solution is to always carry water with you wherever you go
rook
wait I found the counter OTHER cat appeared and lap cat just CANNOT show affection for anyone when OTHER cat is watching now is my chance
Anno
That works too.
JaPAN
>>779898 wow what's the beef between lapcat and OTHER cat
rook
I dunno, they've lived with each other for like four years now I think it's because lapcat is incredibly tsundere and OTHER cat is pure deredere they're like oil and water
JaPAN
maybe lapcat is tsundere for othercat kyaan
JaPAN
>daily mission to get 75 LMG kills time to be a fat fuck
rook
shoot for ten minutes reload for fifteen minutes
JaPAN
haha more like shoot for 2 seconds and die because i am shit
rook
no way bb surely you're the champ
JaPAN
not with a fuckin lmg i'm not i can't control this raw POWAH
rook
well if it's anything like I remember from the old GOOD modern warfare it also takes twenty years to aim down sights
JaPAN
it doesn't take too long unless you use a scope or sight but the lmg ironsights all suck major phallus and it's still way slower than everything except a sniper rifle
rook
I could never use ironsights on anything aside from a few guns I think the scar ones were good maybe one or two more guns but overall ironsights are garbage, holo sight or red dot for everything
JaPAN
also this one i'm using has such fucking intense muzzle flash i literally cannot see my target after i start firing goddammit
rook
just run n gun with the mp5 or whatever the meta smg is now surely there's a meta smg actually I bet my life savings it's the mp5 still
i usually run n gun with the pp bizon because it has big magazine = more fun less dying because i had to reload or use the ak47/scar sometimes the K98k because it's basically a sniper rifle except you have to shoot them in the head
JaPAN
the mp5 is good but i feel like it's negligibly better than the other guns same goes for most guns in this game
rook
I mean time to kill is super low so anything that spits out enough bullets is fine as long as you can aim fast enough probably why the mp5 was ever meta in the first place, good accuracy and fire rate and ads time but really any gun is good enough if you know the map
JaPAN
you can adjust the accuracy and fire rate and damage and all that hullabaloo with attachments so much now that gun stats don't really matter you can make up for any weaknesses anyways
it's certainly nothing like the ak74u in blops or mp5 in mw2 i think
rook
mw3 was the last one I played, I liked running around in that one just slashing folks with the tac knife never played the blops for more than a couple rounds at my brother's place but it just wasn't the same with all the diving and shit
rook
canyou still use one man army to grenade launcher spam your way to a nuke?
JaPAN
nah they removed that perk forever ago underslung grenade launchers are difficult to use effectively in this too
rook
fucking good that shit was busted
JaPAN
underbarrel attachments also negatively impact your ADS speed and wavering there's a whole lot of shit that works against each other when adding attachments to guns its kind of fun now
JaPAN
oh there is one gun that's way better than everything else in its class though the double barrel shotgun 725 don't even try using that other shit double barrel is all you need overall it's pretty well balanced and has a lot of content feels like i actually got $60 worth of game out of it and they had a handful of free updates with new gamemodes and maps since launch too
What is it with Boomers and the word partner I had a woman call up to ask why the letter we sent out to her referred to her husband as her "partner" It's the same thing you bint
>>779976 It seems like it They really hate teh word partner I mean the boomers I work with do Like they go out of their way to correct you "EXCUSE ME she is my WIFE not my partner"
rook
is that a boomer thing? I always figured people who used "partner" were younger, since it's more gender neutral
>>779975 i don't know what you're talking about haha people here use partner to mean 'friend' or 'pal' or 'mate' or 'buddy' or whatever pretty commonly
I keep askin these guys on apex if they ever thought about how their lungs are just tiny inside out trees and none of them have the BALLS to respond aside from one person who will cite me in there thesis for their phd
Maria
Counterpoint: trees are just large inside out lungs
>>780014 I won't stand here and take this blashpemy I'm comin 4 u kid put on your 3D glasses
JaPAN
>>780009 I've asked a few people if it's gay to suck your girlfriend's dick and so far I'm still in this conundrum if I can't get answers to philosophical questions why plug my mic in
rook
oh that's a good one I'm gonna us // use it next game
in the sense that there's only the point we make so video games could be very pointful but you'd really have to have nothing else going on to get that mad
JaPAN
>>780022 maybe video games are all they have maybe the rest of their life is so fucked they don't want to lose in the one thing they still have except the rest of my life is also fucked and i don't get mad at games so they're probably just being a little bitch
JaPAN
in closing don't get mad at video games or you're gay thank 2 com my tedtalk cya
/moe/ have you ever gotten so mad at video games you broke a controller I haven't Is that a real thing people do or is it just a meme
>>780030 What happened How do you get so mad over pixels on a screen
Anno
no I think that ones real
rook
>>780016 the first two dudes I asked were in a squad together already they both said it wasn't gay and that I should just get in there even if it was bigger than mine very supportive thank you respawn
rook
>>780027 no but a friend of mine in high school did while I was over at his place once it was really fucking awkward and I made an excuse to leave like 20 minutes later
I've been pretty mad at video games but never mad enough to do anything but sigh
Maria
why would sucking a dick be gay we're all girls here like come on
JaPAN
>>780027 never in my life sometimes i want to break my shit but just because it sounds fun to watch plastic and circuitry fly everywhere haven't actually done it though and video games don't make me mad honestly if i stop having fun i just stop playing and do something better with my time
>>780036 You know what you're right Time to get my forklift liscence Then the bulldozer liscence The waste destruction market is gonna be huge *is huge even
JaPAN
>>780035 you don't know that the more bullshit we build the more bullshit we will need to destroy it's a growing market
JaPAN
>>780035 yeah there's several close to me at least one is called the breakroom they just set up a bunch of weak wooden crap and you get to smash it
Chopping wood is pretty fun I always like it when a small trees blow over and I get to bring out the hatchet
>>780039 >humanity starts shooting it into space >the atmosphere gets so clogged up with garbage in orbit that we can't even travel out into space
Blame! has such a cool setting
gronk make point on rock rock smash better grunk genius! ooga ooga
JaPAN
>>780035 eventually there will be so much stuff getting built it starts building on its own then we'll have to rely on Killy to unfuck reality honestly his gun did all the work though >>780038 nothing better than hitting thing with rock ooh ooh ee ee gronk smart
JaPAN
>>780038 blame! is so damn cool >tfw no Blame! game with procedural megastructure growth and red faction destructible environment >you will never walk across the jupiter room
Maria
did Blame! even get an anime
>>780042 Damn Sidonia was cool but I think I would have rathered a Blame! adaptation
JaPAN
it got an ova that just kind of teases you and goes nowhere with mediocre art it's probably too strange to get a real adaptation biomega might be more viewer friendly but I like how fucked and desolate Blame! was
JaPAN
oh apparently there was a blame! movie released a few years ago too guess I should check that out can't imagine you can do much in two hours with a plot as slow as Blame! though haha
Maria
I dunno what actually happens in Blame! but like You could do some cool original stories in that setting. Like some dude just wandering about the expanding complex and seeing how people live down there
JaPAN
>>780044 basically the most fatalistic creature in the universe travels a massive concrete labyrinth bigger than a Galaxy for billions of years to find someone who has the genetic marker necessary to control and stop the machines that keep making the structure fucking bigger nobody else can do it because administrator privileges in this cataclysm were set in a fucked up way that stops the central ai from getting things under control so it makes killy, a synth with one goal and a gun that shoots a gravitational wave that can destroy things in a mile diameter cylinder
mainly he just walks for a really long time though
Maria
>>780045 where does it get all that concrete though
JaPAN
>>780046 from the hundreds of planets and other celestial objects the structure consumed i guess you never get to see the outer edges of the city so maybe there are builders collecting materials from outside the complex too
>>780047 planet eating structures are so cool like we got so efficient at consumption and building that we just automated that on a massive scale
>>780049 What would they even do after ending the megastructures expansion It's not like they can go back to living on a regular planet
>>780050 It's not hard to see how shit could get broken Like if some politician said they had an automatic city builder people would totally vote for them And then if we run out of resources space mining is the logical next step Then we just need an ai to run it, which just needs to evolve a desire to observe its task above all else Seems like the logical future really
JaPAN
it kind of implies they use the planets as material somehow since there's an empty room the exact size of Jupiter in there somewhere they just built around it and sucked the gas up >>780048 and in blame! they realistically fucked humanity up permanently by being so industrious
JaPAN
>>780048 there would be no end until there is no longer any material to build with the builders simply expand since nobody gave them an order to stop at any point before the city's automated security shit itself and killed all the people who could instruct the builders at the start of the manga they've been constructing shit at random for several billion years
as to why things came to be so broken we're not too sure on but who cares shit is cool af
