I picked out this book from the bookstore to read while I wasted time in the built-in coffee shop and in a little under an hour and a half I'm a third of the way through. I have a hard time reading novel prose digitally. I can eat up snippets and pieces of information from a digital platform pretty easily, but it's really hard to get engrossed in a story unless I've got the physical book in my hand. Maybe an ebook reader could work as well but I always find the look of text on those extremely off-putting.
I have a hard time with my kindle but for some reason making it a habit before bed on my phone really helps. I only really a chapter or two per a story so that leaves me curious about whats going to happen next even though wuxia is super fucking predictable

I miss taking the train to work everyday. It was nice riding early in the morning really picturesque and late in the day train ride home was nice too.
I was on the train for 2 hours a day for work. it was a relaxing part of the day if the train wasn't packed in the winter was super fucking cold but I got my train tickets holepunched with snowflakes which was pretty cool.

My landlord came around. didn't take the bed just dumped pieces of a bed in my living room because he forgot other parts. so I have parts of a bed in my living room but at least I keep my bed.
He wants do a lot. I don't really want to live in a place that going to constantly under work. he is going to come back next week whenever he decides. at some indeterminate point he is going to apart the kitchen and update it.
Its weird. in all the places I've stayed, I've never had my landlord come in constantly and have to worry about not having a bed or a kitchen.

Well I have a class in two hours. I should go but I don't know if I can bear it. By now it seems like only eight or ten students show up and I don't really want to be in a three-hour session with that few students with how unprepared I am. On top of how miserable things are for me at the moment.

I missed the cut-off date for dropping courses without academic penalty because I had a surge of confidence at the end of last week that pretty much dried up in a flash yesterday. I almost want to meet with someone from my program and see if they have some leeway for that in regards to mental health. Yesterday was a real huge mess for me and I'm still trying to untangle myself from it.

It's pretty irregular, but yeah. Later this week I have a different appointment with someone from the university's medical centre who's trained to diagnose mental health concerns. I was supposed to see them before my second appointment with the counselor but that's what that whole mess up a week or two ago was about. But I also have another appointment with the counselor the -next week, after I have a chance to meet with the medical centre.
And I'm on a list for regular counselling appointments, but that doesn't resolve until January, so it's kind of moot to the immediate circumstances. I need some route out of this tangled mess I've lived in as long as I can remember but it's really starting to draw tight around me recently.

I got really emotional with my mother earlier too. I was trying to talk about why it's hard for me to be a "doer", which I guess is a way of defining the pragmatic, action-oriented way my parents operate. And a bunch of stuff in this pile got touched on.
I don't really know if it was nice or not but it was really, really emotionally draining. I just feel really exhausted, though that also might be in part the lack of sleep, hah hah.

Paradox regularly writes blog updates detailing new content updates. While I don't think they still give explicit release dates until almost ready, it's still pretty easy to infer how close they are.

But then, I have this uncanny luck with personal unions. For example in EVERY single run I have done as GB, I have gotten Portugal under a personal union. yeah it's very much a fire weapon. It's also considered a chaos weapon, so the damage it deals also increases for every humanity you have active (up to 10)
If you don't want to kill your scimitar for it but eventually are interested, you could always level up another curved sword.
