paypal doesn't want me to use my unchipped debit card so they send me a chipped one paypal sends this new chipped card to my old address paypal deactivates my old card after sending the new one to my old address i call them and use the automated system to request one to my new address automated system says "Okay, you're all set! It'll arrive in 7-10 days" after 14 days it hasnt arrived, so i call again and the system does the same thing, but sends me an email this time saying it's sent out a replacement for the secondary card, not my card, which the secondary card is for my mom to use if theres an emergency i call to speak to an agent and no card had been sent out at all even though the automated system said it was, because my address was not confirmed they ask me to confirm my address by reading back a code they texted to my phone (???)
ive been without my card for over two weeks and this has really been distressing and paypal is fucking around

it would really help me out it's one of the places i would have liked to move to if i could have afforded to, but relocation is expensive it's been really hard because every time i move somewhere new i have to dump all of my savings to do it (which is very little saving to begin with) so im always in a bad position after moving to a new city, and that doesnt open up any opportunities for me, and in fact im further behind but not moving wasn't an option either or i'd be homeless again, or living in psychologically harmful conditions i'd get to actually integrate with the city and be part of it instead of just spending every waking moment trying to afford to survive the next day
im pretty sure, even if they by chance selected me, part of the proof of income would have to be a tax receipt and i havent paid taxes in years that'd probably disqualify me immediately

My university's philosophy department is hosting a philosophy career night for undergrads tomorrow. I've been pretty comfortable in the philosophy classes I've been taking, so I'm gonna check it out and see what sort of options are available. I've been trying to have fun at uni, there are a few people that come up to talk to me which is nice although one of them is a staunch capitalist and tried to explain to me why trickle down economics works and is a good system. I'm not very used to people with strong opinions. I'm usually middle ground when talking with people until I know them better. or rather I'm too anxiety so it's interesting seeing people who start off with strong opinions and I'm kinda realising how small my world is. I've had people explain why capital punishment is a good thing like they hold it a dearly held belief. >>603412 They just sit next to me. One of them is a flat earther. at university I feel like I can't tell if things are ironic or real anymore. >>603411 I've never really interacted with someone comfortable enough (if thats the right word) to just straight off start with what I would usually consider a contentious opinion. I don't think or didn't think most people had strong allegiances to capitalism when they are poor students in a poor area of the country. and they are young too.
their world is small too they have strong opinions and lead with them because that's all they really know, and to them that seems like the normalest thing to talk about you could imagine some nerd who leans over and is like "hey, hey, do you like magic the gathering? i do wanna hear about this match i played last night?" and goes on about a bunch of nerd stuff some people might think that's weird but it's teh // the same narrow world as everyone else pretty much everyone feels anxiety so they just talk about what's comfortable to them until they figure things out

I had a classmate try to explain to me why capitalism is super great and communism is evil. she absolutely believed in trickle down economics. and also does not believe anyone is starving in western developed nation.
Most people I've interacted with don't really speak in absolutes and if they do its often as a joke. it is interesting seeing people just eliminate any middle ground and define certain things absolutely in a discussion.
It is also weird in history class where someone was defending the honor of an archaeologist who did questionable shit, like we are talking about the techniques and why what he did was bad not attacking the guy's character. You've barely learnt about the person and start interrupting the teacher to say he wasn't being malicious and had good intentions. That not the point of the lesson.

Because why remove one mechanic they added but keep the other?
More importantly, one of the megas they showcased was Mega Kangaskhan. Mega Kangaskhan is DEFINED by its ability, Parental Bond. That's the entire thing that makes it what it is.
Anno
>>603722 Nothing about removing one mechanic implies a necessity to remove another though. For Mega Kangaskhan I would imagine they'd maintain her unique functionality through other means.
Then what about Mega Gyarados that they also advertised Mold Breaker is its ability, and the entire point of it is that it nullifies other abilities. It's less defining than Kangaskhan's at least.
Why would you make an exception like Mega Kangaskhan, assuming they have, in a system where you made the rule it needs to be excepted from in the first place.
It's just bizarre.
Anno
If no abilities exist, then there's no reason for Mold Breaker. Gyrados still has its other Mega-Evolution quirks maintained.
>>603724 I would imagine there would be a exception for Kangaskhan because of the uniqueness of her Mega. There's no reason her uniqueness needs to be linked to abilites besides "that's just how it was done before", which is a really shitty reason in the first place.
