I'm trying to stay positive but it's difficult without my stress safety net, especially considering this semester has been nonstop horrible things happening.
There's more bad things to come, though. And many things that may come.
It's all so very absurd.
>>537543 No, I don't think that would be good for me right now.
I saw this on the back of a boat on my bike ride. Not // I took the picture not because I found it profound or endearing or anything. But more because I was thinking "sure is easy to have happy thoughts when you've got enough money to own a boat."

Oh yeah, it was also pretty picturesque. A nice blend of internal cynicism and nice aesthetic.
>>537548 Hmm I guess big enough lakes are in a way better than the sea don't have the problem we have here rn, as in "SO WINDY YOU CAN'T SAIL /BOAT AT ALL"
Anno
I wouldn't rely on that being constant out on the Great Lakes. They're -really- fucking huge lakes.
They're still massively open stretches of water with nothing to buffer or shelter you from the air currents. I'm certain storms are worse out on the ocean, but I'm just saying that you shouldn't rely on the Great Lakes to not be windy to the point of it being a safety issue.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
it is not storms it is just general wind it isn't fun to boat with a 8m> boat when the waves are larger than 1m which is currently almost constant due to the temperature difference
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
the issue in the end is not area, but volume rather seas just have more water
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
so the temperature differences between land and water are larger and more constantly so, so the wind can really be tricky, and unpredictable, and not giving a fuck what the major air currents are doing at the moment I mean sure you could go boating during the evening or say rn but yeah daytime boating is tricky during really hot summers, due to the wind

I really like how this game is set up. You don't level from killing things instead there's an orb in each stage that levels you up. You have to find the exit to go to the next stage but you can skip the orb if you feel like it. But the skills are really nice when you level up Like the running up walls one

Naruto's anime has at times had really high-quality animation. There's of course the famous terrible moments, but every now and then the studio remembers they need to actually try some times.
pro, kabuto and kimimaro remain my fav baddies oro

madara was meh but tobito was a good villain though his final motivation was bit half assed i mean, gaara, pain, tobi... all just "what if naruto was evil" essenyially the author loved that trope >>537842 yup he was too op to be alive

I like to pronounce the 'g' in lasagna. It makes the word sound fun and every now and then it throws people off. Same with the 'l' in salmon.
月
the l in salmon was always pronounced though
Anno
Here the pronunciation is more "sam-men" I like to do "sal-man"
月
i'm pretty sure it's still pronounced even if you dont realize it the l is more a component of how the sa is voiced than the l-m transition i feel like you actually have to try really hard to not pronounce the l in salmon you have to avoid the a-drop that results in the l naturally so it becomes almost like say-mon or sammin but in the latter case with lake a hard uptick after the s syammin
Anno
Well to be more precise then, I enunciate the 'l' in it to make it much more noticeable.
Anno
>>538031 I'm still relatively sure that at least in my family most of us remove the 'l' to the point that it's almost imperceptible.
月
try saying it with the L and then try saying it without the L and see where the discrepency is, out loud
Anno
The 'a's sound changes. Isolated by itself, with the 'l' coming up, it becomes more of an 'awl' kind of 'a'. As opposed to an 'ah' kind of 'a' without the 'l' coming up.
Most of my family leans heavily towards the 'ah' kind, where I started doing the 'awl' kind of 'a' because it drove my little sister up the wall whenever I said it.
>>538036 Yeah I can see what you're getting at there.
月
it's weird but i feel like the feel of the spoken word, salmon, really fits the shape of an actual salmon
月
whale visually also kind of fits a whale, somehow if it was wale, even spoken the same, it wouldn't be evocative in the same respects

I feel as an English speaker, the 'wh' part prompts me to purse my lips more when saying the syllable than just a 'w'.

>>538042 It's a dense word. A 'w' and two letters that stretch from top to bottom of the font boundary, all in five letters. I think 'e' is a bit that way too.
