kirara youre basically a doctor what does pain in the back of my head at the start of the neck mean
月
what kind of pain dull, stabbing, throbbing which ranges of motion if any are inhibited e.g. can you rotate your head in all three axes with a fixed cervical position, and then can you sway your head from shoulder to shoulder, backwards, and forwards like touching your chin to your chest
>>526314 yeah, this is bad stuff i don't see how you could argue that it's unconstitutional unless you're doing a lot of mental gymnastics but i guess that's what the new court does
月
i dont understand union stuff very well what does this mean is it gonna make things bad
Kirara 🚗
right now, unions are funded by membership dues people who don't join the union but still benefit from the union's work that is done on the worker's behalf have to pay a small amount to the union bc they're benefitting from the union's work now the people who aren't in the union but are still benefitting from the union, don't have to buy in which leaves unions extremely vulnerable to employers encouraging people not to join unions because they will still benefit from it, among other things it means substantially reduced union funding which means the further erosion of worker rights and less opportunity for workers to get proper working conditions

nobody's forcing them to work there! just find a different job
especially in those small towns that prop up solely because of a factory or plant being built there and it's the entire populace of the area working there there's still, like, restaurants and stuff they could just open a restaurant instead and sell food or mow lawns?? do they not have lawns there lmao fuckin excuses everywhere

also AR15 comes in both ar and semi automatic rifle configurations, but dunno which the coppers are using
FormerRei@mobile
>>526377 Likely semi auto Generally only "special" police carry automatic weapons.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
then it is colt AR, which means the AR stands for assault rifle in it
FormerRei@mobile
>>526379 The AR stood for assault rifle like 60 years ago when armalite (later acquired by colt) was developing the ar-10 and then later ar-15 in an attempt to get a US government contract. Eventually the government setlled on the m16 for standard issue. But the modern ar-15 refers to the semiautomatic variant that has been sold to civilians for 40~ years. Its based on an assault rifle but by definition is not.

How do you amicably and concisely express that not only is it in your budget right now, but that you don't exactly have the comfort around getting a matching tattoo with friends.
>>526515 You shouldn't have to "explain that" if they're good friends you should just be able to say no I don't want a tattoo and leave it at that >>526518 Okay then >>526518 Do you have tattooes already? I dunno even if you are good friends a tattoo is a bit much. It's also a bit of a gamble since it's always gonna be attatched to you. Like you said, you aren't sure that they're qualified as tattoo worthy friends. Even if you were certain, that evaluation could change in the future In the end it's your body and it's a big investment to have something permamently attatched to you so I don't think there should be anything un-amicable about just saying you aren't comfortable about having one right now
Anno
>>526517 It's a bit more nuanced than that and I was gonna cover that in a second part. With that they are good friends but I haven't been in touch with them for like six or seven years so I don't blame them for not being entirely in touch with my thoughts on things. And on top of what i was asking before, avoiding in my response insinuating that I don't know if the brief time of reconnecting with each other is enough to qualify us as mutual-tattoo getting friends, because I don't really think that way, but also slightly hinting at having some reservations in that line of thought, because I do kind of think that way.
The problem here is conciseness, which always makes it hard to properly express the full length of my feelings on something.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo

A single dick might be an intimate experience, but a whole bag of them at once is a little much, don't you think. And I understand dicks might be a cuisine experience for some, but for most people I wouldn't be surprised if it's a little unpalatable to say the least.

>>526518 i would tell them that tattoos are supposed to mean something and getting one on a whim is a massive waste, especially for your first one then again i'm an expert on how to use words in the worst way possible so probably if you do the opposite of what i say and say that you wish you could but don't see it as an option right now without further elaboration it might be well-received
FormerRei@mobileAnno
>>526523 The first response feels a little too, for lack of a better word, preachy, since these are friends I would try to reconnect with and see if I can get close with again. The latter's actually nice, I'll think on that one.
Ultimately I'm gonna have to say no because seriously, I don't have it in my budget. But I also don't want that to just be my sole reason because I'm always worried about being pressed by "oh we can pay for it and have you pay us back later" or something along those lines. And I also don't want to respond with a response that's too chock-full of "excuses" because I feel that always diminishes the "authenticity" of the response.
When really I'm just someone that can't not look at every possible value of feeling involved in an answer to a question and it's always hard for me to come up with a concise, "authentic" response.
月

>>526517 Yeah, I'm thinking of saying I'll keep it in mind, and see if I come around to it in the future. At the least I feel like dismissing it without even knowing what they have in mind is too rude.
But I don't want to ask and appear interested only to shut down the request shortly afterwards because that feels ... also a bit too rude. It feels like I have to pick my words carefully, even though in all likeliness it probably won't be taken offensively. But I can't not worry about it.

If I got to say it in person maybe I could express it properly. But trying to say it all in a text message just looks ridiculous sending a paragraph.

It is kinda scary how quickly this group has got support in the UK, the idea of "think of the children" and hiding behind children to try to erase anything that challenges the gender binary is fucked up. Especially since I thought feminism wanted to ultimately eliminate the binary
Kirara 🚗
it's very much not left it's basic human biology

yeah agreed i'm not progressive at all and extremely right i know a lot of people who also are it's media manipulation to marginalize it as a bipartisan thing so it's more easily dismissed

i got pissy because i was replying to a question you raised which you dismissed mid-answer and proceeded to move with momentum without addressing
it's not a rhetorical point if there's an actual answer to it it's just ignorance at that point
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
it wasn't a question it was a rhetorical point that had no impact on the covnersation I don't know why a lifestyle vegan chooses to not eat a meat, and if you say all vegans are vegans because they can't literally eat meat due to genetical flaw then I don't know what world you live in
月
the vegan movement exists because there is a niche need to not eat meat not everyone who is vegan is part of that niche but the niche's unmet needs extent to having more people involved than the affected community the same way there are straight people who support gay rights and cisgenders who vote for trans rights et cetera vegan chefs tend to be vegan themselves just because there's a lifestyle now built around being able to live without meat if it's sustainable, naturally there are going to be people who occupy that space, whether they need to or not
Kirara 🚗

but the series premise and how the series actually was kinda confused me I thought there were automatas, of which the MC was one you know androids but nope the memory doll just referred to some basic writing machine, which then became the moniker of all what is the word transcribers
Anno
Yeah, that was about what I thought it was before actually watching the series. Of course there is the double-entendre there of Violet acting very doll-like and mechanical because of her PTSD and lack of psychological development. As an Auto-Memoir Doll she is both a transcriptionist and a doll. At the least I feel that was what the author was playing with in the name.

all the people i brought to the game didn't get into it as much as i did though and it ended up with me only having people to play with after rook or his buddies got off work and i collected every decoration and shit in the game except for those god damn attack jewels and got bored of grinding for no reason against the same like 8 monsters
Anno
it was a good 600 hours of fun for the price though i did buy all the dlc and shit eventually however so i probably spent like $160 on it but it's one of my favorite series so i got to fund it
Anno
It does seem like it could have used more meaty content. At least they're adding in new stuff periodically but that's probably not fast enough for the die-hard MonHun fans that have been with the series. I'll be looking forward to the PC release when they finally get around to it.
Anno
i'll pick it up again when it comes out on pc and enjoy that glorious 144fps but MHXX for the switch will also be coming out around that time and it has more stuff to do
Anno
Well World for PC still doesn't have a confirmed release date. Who knows, maybe they're even behind for their initial vague commitment for autumn 2018. I feel there's probably gonna be at least three months of time between XX coming out and the PC release.
Anno
i'm betting on september, i have no reasoning for this assumption it's just a gut feeling
Anno
Well it's as much a gut feeling on my end, so we're par for that. It's just September isn't too many months off, and I feel like they should probably give an announce date a bit further off if they want buzz and interest to grow for the PC release.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo

Yeah, I bet they are. The one in the green shirt isn't with the band anymore though, they had a falling-out back around 2009 after he got arrested for cocaine possession. It's a shame because he wrote, or co-wrote, some of the best songs of the band.
Anno
They should have just let him keep doing coke and writing for the band.
Anno
Yeah, it's unfortunate. Apparently there had been some building discontent on his part over time, and the cocaine incident was sort of the snap of tension. But who knows, they kept it to themselves pretty much. They got inducted into the Canadian music hall of fame earlier this year and he showed up to accept the award and perform with the rest of the band, and appeared to be pretty buddy-buddy with them, so maybe things have cooled off over time. Fingers crossed at least.

Anno
>>527019 I'm not certain I've ever seen those outside of images and video, let alone on the side of the road.

Weird thing I have ometimes accidentally pulled, but never on purpose basically take a nap but set alarm to ring in about 20-30 mins, with a snooze timer of 5-10 mins and then just keep going at it alarm->snooze->alarm->snooze and if your brain keeps going groggy you should just keep popping the snooze automatically, and then falling abck to semi-sleep and by the time you realise what is going on an hour or two might have passed
