>>49410 Eh, japanese culture is just a little different in that respect i think. They're very heavy on self-regulation. Even in a lot of their MMOs, they don't really like having GM interference too much. The community itself soft-bans a player by just not enabling him. Same for tournaments in street fighter and stuff. They make very few official rules, but like O. Sagat in SFII was soft-banned, basically meaning if you were the dickwad who entered the tournament then played him, people would get pissed and shun you out on their own way
i mean, no mangaka in japan is going to be filing a lawsuit over a doujin. waste of their time and money for little gain. there's not usually legal obligation for the doujins to stop making them, but it's more of a respect thing. You're making a doujin for something you like, the mangaka says please don't, and you usually stop out of respect for them if it's H-doujins, it's usually the manga-ka's best interest to not even acknowledge them it'd just cause a scuffle that upsets that mangakas fanbase and would be thought of as petty it's not like doujins are impeding on earnings of the official releases
『sk』

Oh my, who's that assaulting someone at random and then hitting them with a bat while they're on the ground? Could it be a Trump supporter? Could it be a bys- Nope, wearing a ski mask and a black hoodie
Yeah I see why you're not seeing it as inevitable to be attacked by antifa when every single time it's someone who actually is a russian paid instigator dressed up as the antifa The antifa, with the motto "ANY. MEANS", would never use violence
『sk』
>and some set off fireworks Yeah man, what kind of violent person would bring a weapon to a protest he knows will be targeted by these people He came there to pick a fight, why else would he bring a helmet?
『sk』
Yeah, no. I say bring a gun
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
even if you say that it seems clear to me that everyone went there intending to fight
『sk』
Everyone went there intending to fight back, I'll give you that But I don't have any problems with people fighting back
They have a right to rally or protest, and a right to protect that if someone's threatening to force them to stop with violence
『sk』
Like what's the alternative here, for you? Should they not rally, because the antifa are using violence so they win?
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
i'm not saying they shouldn't be rallying or that they shouldn't fight back but those people did not do this to fight back, they did this to fight there is a very big difference
『sk』
Show me a single video of one of the trump people actually throwing the first punch, and I'll acknowledge it
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
that's not what that means at all and you know that

If you aren't the first to throw a punch, you're acting in defense
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
if i get hit and then i stab the shit out of you, that's not defense that's me wanting to stab you

not legally no
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
not unless you are still coming after me it's not defense unless you are still getting attacked if you hit me and i push you down and curb stomp your face i have gone past self defense
OK, the antifa did do that, I've seen that But the trumpers didn't Not a fucking one video I've seen has had them do anything more than give a punch and try to back the fuck off
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
i think that you are so biased against antifa that you cant see past what's going on here man
『sk』
>>49606 Then show me a single shred of evidence that a single thing you said actually fucking happened
『sk』
You can't go "Oh those guys are all intending to fight" when you're not providing evidence of them STARTING a fight or EXTENDING a fight longer than absolutely fucking necessary Especially when those people knew before hand that either they go to the rally and risk getting hit with a fucking facefull of mace, a bat to the head, or a 2x4 across the shin, or they don't show up at all
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
just because you get hit first doesn't mean you didn't start the fight

『sk』
>>49609 I'm not seeing anything in here supporting the claim that trump supporters kept dealing out punches or hits of any kind longer than they needed to The one minute video shows the exact opposite happening
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
honestly i think you're the only person that doubts it other than trump supporters from my perspective in the middle, it'd be insane if they didn't continue because everything i see shows them fighting back and being violent
『sk』
I don't care what the perspective is I have heaps and heaps of evidence of antifa starting shit, both outside that protest and within this one protest I have not a fucking picture of a trump supporter swinging a fist unprovoked by actual violence, not words
I literally don't care how fucking skewed and biased you have a source, find me a fucking antifa-approved video and I'll accept it
I don't accept you going "Those guys who went to a rally, armed, knowing the rally would likely be targeted by a violent domestic terror organization, all intended to, and some did, fight aggressively rather than defensively" Because it's retarded to say that when you don't even have a fucking witness saying that happened There's nothing The whole fucking event is filmed and you can't find me ONE trump supporter throwing ONE punch at someone who's on the ground, yet everyone there with a stick intended to do so?
And I'M the fucking biased one?
Anno
>>49611 I like it with oven-roasted meats and vegetables. But these focaccia crackers are not a good use of it.
『sk』
And despite all this, you're just assuming they went there to start shit and be violent, you also knowing that their political enemies use ANY MEANS AND THAT INCLUDES VIOLENCE as often as possible to shut them up
Either you're saying they shouldn't have gone, or you're saying they should have just accepted it
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
i don't think they went there to start shit and be violence i think they went there knowing full well that it would be violent and wanted to be violent back which is just as bad as wanting to start violence maybe i haven't been describing my point properly
『sk』
That's far better
Actually, I'll even go this far If you aren't even interested in a rally But you hear it'll likely be targeted by antifa And you show up in fucking riot gear with the intention to, and only DO, fight back in the defense of others
You're a good person in my book And that was the right thing to do
『sk』
The moment you start extending the fight longer than necessary, or you throw the first punch, you're fucking out But unless that happens, you're fucking fine as long as the force you use is appropriate
Anno
But in a dense, excited, intense situation the line you're drawing here can be exceedingly difficult to pinpoint.
『sk』
>>49620 And yet I haven't seen any Trump supporters in these videos stepping beyind that line While on the other hand, 100% of the combatant antifa members not only step over it, they were going there to begin with. That was the whole point of them showing up, crossing that line.
Anno
And the videos you've watched provide a flawless and complete display of the situation at hand.
『sk』
You don't need a flawless and complete display of a situation to see one guy about to get hit, and then the person who was gonna hit him takes a fist to the face That's defense of that first person, you don't need fucking context here
Anno

月
I've often used five or six pots when cooking on six-burner ranges yeah, what TN just said i've usually got one caramelizing the onions, and one mixing things i need to mix in later, like the tomato or curry broths and then if i'm cooking mashed potatoes or veggies on the side, or if i'm making a dish that's not one big curry pot but like prawns that are cooked in garlic, and the curry goes over them at the end -- when they're already served and on the plate i'd never need it just cooking for myself though.

Te new story of seasons is pretty comfy.
月
yall moes are some damned comfy addicts yall better get checked into rehab or something it's gonna destroy your lives
my work can be cozy when i'm not overworked comfy rather but usually it's not
Yuu
Work is not comfy.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
Work enables the comfy that you get, and in much more either quantity or qualit or even both when compared, if you are jobless and experience just the "comfy" of not being forced/allowed to work and most importantly, earn money. You sell your time, for more quality time, enabled by the money you get in exchange. So "work is not comfy" or "i am not comfy, I have a job" is not really a good statement, because chances are you'd be much less comfy if you didn't have a job
Talesof !NuKeSlvmWE
I want to be comfy
月
I don't really believe that "selling your time for money" imagery of work we are our work we toil whether we're paid or not it's our plight to toil
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
Yes but most people rather toil at their hobbies and define them by those, rather than their work. Of course more appropriate "what is work" would be "selling your labour for money"
月
My view of life doesn't really break down into base elements, as though we'd simply have more time for hobbies if we weren't doing paid employment like we're resting on a baseline and just have activities we prefer or not, some are necessary and less preferred those preferences really change with necessity, too the time i have most interest in my hobbies, and actually when i'm most productive in them, is when a large part of my life is occupied by other work samurai used the term procrastination leverage once, and that's a sentiment i really buy into when i'm pressured heavily by a more important stress, like a money job, it could be a luxury for me to procrastinate with toiling in something i'm not paid for but engages my mind but when i've got no pressures, i dont want to do anything if i'm sat alone with no work for a week, i'm straight not going to be using that time toiling elsewhere. i'd be progressively lazier the less i have to do i believe we feel more complete when we toil, regardless of where or how because it puts us in that higher energy state where we're more in tune with our capabilities but fuckin i don't know im retarded
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
A good point and quite plausible, but I bet it depends on person to person level. Personalities afterall are a thing, but the above comfy thing was just to refute the "work is not comfy" work might not be "comfy" but without work, there would most likely be no comfy time at all
and add even more to that, how can you define something as comfy, if you are of the privileged few who can just laze around without ever toiling for their living and luxuries, if you lack the comparison - the contrast point - the uncomfortable? Dives into bit more philosophical side and such, but I stand by that you can't really appreciate peace and leasure and comfy, if you never know or haven't known in a long time the opposite of them.
So in my opinion, work is not only enabler of comfy, whatever that is for you, but definer too. Without work or uncomfy, you won't appreciate the time you can be comfy and without work, you most likely won't have the necessary resources to even produce the comfy you desire for. So yeah, >>49863 we are our work in a way
月
Kirara and I had a discussion about whether paranoia in paranoid schizophrenia was the manifestation of the schizophrenia, or whether the development of paranoia allowed for the schizophrenic condition to flourish when it otherwise had no other avenues
i feel a very similar parallel when it comes to personality and toiling it's hard to tell which one is the flow and which one is the manifestation
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
People with great wits and charms aren't born, they are made and refined sure they might not toil in the terms of physical, but is not mental pondering toiling in the end too?
Hmm that explains why people in accounting and such, menial work both in terms of physicality and mentality, are or atleast when doing their jobs, are really dull
月
of course it is i chose toiling specifically because of that imagery we've got to direct flow somewhere
月
>>49868 true facts, accounting isn't menial. it can be really pretty interesting but people who don't know the joys of that toil can't see it i've always liked math, and i had thought accounting would be like "eh, it's just math // arithmetic and bookkeeping. i don't see what's interesting." i was really wrong. accounting is its own animal same with physics. I was super good in math, but i really liked astronomy so i wanted to study physics, thinking it was just easy math but it wasn't at all holy crap it tooks // took like two years just for my brain to wrap around physics problem-solving it was really weird and clunky, but totally elegant too but there were times where i was just, "Uh, the MATH is easy, but I don't know what the fuck to do with it" and transcription's pretty interesting too, despite how it seems like it's one simple task it's really not I'm still learning new things about it day in and out after doing it for several years everything's pretty interesting if it fits your flow of toil

I pretty much only had two unpleasant teachers throughout my whole time in school. I had a bit more than that who were lousy teachers, but still decent people though.
月
Only my 4th grade teacher and my 7th grade homeroom teacher were bad people I had lots of teachers i didn't like, and LOTS of teachers that everyone is like "Wow, Mrs. X is such a bitch! She's so strict" in elementary school but i remember very specifically that those teachers who were the "she's so mean" teachers, when we went on field trips, they were the ones you hoped to get grouped with because they were super nice on field trips it wasn't that they were mean, just very diligent about the learning environment -- and also very diligent about the aspect of discovery and exploration a child should have, and made great chaperones on field trips meanwhile the teachers who were nice in class were fucking brutal on field trips the male teachers on field trips had no change, but i speak of the women specifically
月
my 7th grade homeroom teacher was MISTER MOSS some dingy old motherfucker as the name would imply he used to complain about how he lost $2,000 in the stock market some years back and he was the history teacher. Both for history and homeroom we had assigned seating, and strangely enough every cheerleader was assigned to the front row Now, since i was a degenerate and actively ignored tests , especially for history, i had lots of time to look around and not pay attention to the test, and we had a thing where the cheerleaders would be wearing their cheerleading outfit throughout the day for whatever reason. i wasn't a cheerleader so i didnt know how that worked, but on game days, all cheerleaders were in outfit all day long and this man's eyes for the whole hour-long test were up the skirts of the first row and i wasn't the only one that noticed it the cheerleaders did too nobody felt threatened, but he was creepy as hell. in retrospect as adults, it makes sense to report that, but back then for young teenage girls it didn't seem as awful as it is i guess

TN
Woew, that is a no fucks given teacher taken to another level and reaching neglience
月
i mean, i did it for the entire year for all of his assignments i didn't do it for the other teachers but one time specifically i had a friend who hand-wrote this big table spreadsheet thing out that we were supposed to do as an assignment, and then she filled it in on excel and printed it out for the actual assignment a real goody two-shoes i asked if i could have the handwritten one she made and just crossed out her name and put mine that was the only singular time he accused me of cheating he said "this isn't your paper, is it? the name's crossed out." i told him no, we were sharing notes and had a mixup and she wrote her name on mine he's like "oh, okay" and i never heard anything again
Yuu

I mean the gymnastics involved are generally super rudimentary, but I'm the end -in the end it is the only way gymnasts of their skill level are ever going to perform in front of a crowd. The same way most high schoolers will only ever compete in football in front of a crowd.

I don't know what it was like at a private school, but at my public school -- or at least in high school, after i moved out of the shitty place i lived before -- the cheerleader group was actually pretty nice i had some friends in there, they were kind people and wanted to make people happy and promote that school spirit, and usually helped encourage other students there's that image in mind though of how the cheerleader group is this cliquey group of bitches, but i saw very little of that a few of them were, but most of them were actually pretty nice to me personally
TN
What is school spirit supppsed to be
月
>>49910 people being proud of their school and engaged in their school's culture and activities rooting for their sports teams, engaged in extracurricular activities, viewing the school as a community of sorts

That seems like waste of time. Effort and money from learning
Schools aren't just academic jail cells where kids only go to learn. They're also breeding ground for identity shaping and a community which kids will exist in for years at a time. And any time a group of people exist in one spot for an extended period of time, culture forms. School spirit gives kids a way to define and provide output for that culture. Next you're going to tell me school-hosted plays are a waste of time and money. As are any school sports team.

My school also hosted yearly battle of the bands and biyearly talent shows. And occasionally you got that one band or one kid who makes you think "oh shit this is actually really good."

>>49931 Does hilight cultural differences quite interestingly, i suppose. and maybe the mentality in the people who built the school systems and from what they were founded on and then of course the culture forming around that. As far as i know, schools here were based on the lutheran church schools, founded to teach the population how to read, with non-complance to learn being a punidhable act even. Later during russian and independence era, i believe we took much influence from german states, edpecially prussia. Whoch is why we have many things cpmmon with their university culture, atleast stuff tracing back to the 19th century But the basic schooling, 1st to 9th grade, is very much founded on "kids ,ust by law learn the following and it is the duty and work of children to learn" the and... part being actual motto of our schools for a long time
