Charge Blades are so damn fun to use. They're so satisfying for me that it's hard for me to even consider using other weapons, even if I'm occasionally upgrading some other weapon types because I have the resources to do so. I still just default to Charge Blades.
Maybe the combat changes in World will encourage me to experiment more though.

They made quite a few weapons more accesible to people I think the bowguns in particular got a big boost in general usability, mostly due to actually having a good aiming scheme now that the series is off handhelds the circle pad pro just wasn't enough to make aiming feel comfortable on 3DS but both LBG and HBG are lots of fun in world there are also lots of changes to other weapons to make them more fun to use, like removing the godawful heat gauge that 4U added to gunlance
i think the reason i like it so much is the noises it makes CLACK CLACK WHIRR and all that it sounds so satisfying it's like gundam movement noises

One thing to ask yourself is "do you even have a unit that can survive Robin's Bonfire. Although, I suppose Urvan Ike can. Another thing is how are you maintaining life. Ike has Aether. Do the other ones have anything? That's why I have Reciprocal Aid on Myrrh. I only have Guidance 2 so if she goes below half I can't do most of my movement tricks. Ninian regens 10HP every turn so they just pull from her since I keep her in the back all the time.

Yeah, I saw that the armor is a little underwhelming. Some of the weapons are crazy good though, giving you a pretty high sharpness.
The Deviljho isn't exactly a super-hard fight in the scale of the variety of monsters of the franchise. For your HR you're probably above the point where he's a certain death. But he's a fan favourite and always adds an aspect of chaos into hunts because you never know when he's just gonna come charging in to take a bite out of your hunt. That's sort of the charm of him.

I've seen clips of Devil Joe actually grabbing other large monsters in the hunt and throwing them at you. I'm pretty sure that's a new feature of World and seems amazing.
Yeah, that's the Territory Battle feature. Large monsters will compete for territory if they run into each other and there are different animations for each monster fighting another monster. Sometimes they'll throw another monster at you or just pick them up and drop them down and stuff. There's one monster that tries to drown other monsters. It's really cool.

What's neat is this is actually reflected with in-game mechanics. Out of all the monsters, Deviljho is one of the fastest to reach the hungry state which makes monsters seek out food, whether this means leaving the immediate area to seek out a food source or lunging for a hunk of meat you lay down yourself.

I don't know what I'll be doing but travelling is super expensive! I don't have that much saved away for all the transport the plane ticket was insane even if I didn't pay for it.

Yeah I hate it. But there's no really easy way to tell teachers that I could probably do the quantity of work required --even more, probably-- to a better degree if I didn't have to be involved with other students.
It is worse when I hear stories of people failing work because someone didn't do their part or one person has to everyones work for them. I don't want to have to deal with people who aren't pulling their weight.
And more than that I don't want to have to deal with people who are too controlling. like if they are wrong but insist on making everyone do something. I've got some bad memories of being groups doing work with people who aren't my subordinates. working as a manager is so different from class enviroments
