Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
She's a lot like me in a lot of ways. Her organizational style is generally only comprehensible to her and she has trouble asking people for help. She wants to do as much as she can alone.
I think she might not be able to understand more standard organizational styles, though, or maybe she doesn't care to. I guess I'll have to rein everything in so her research team can actually work efficiently.
Anno
So you become her secretary.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
That's more or less what I was hired to do! I'm her research assistant.
Anno
To be honest being a secretary for someone doing research is probably pretty cool. At least if it's something you can comprehend.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Yeah. I think it's going to be a lot more work than I expected, though, haha. She's more or less given me permission to change anything I want in terms of the organization, though, and I get to re-write all of the training material so that undergraduate students don't get confused. Last year, she had to throw out an entire semester's worth of data collection because she /// data input because she was too soft on her undergraduate team members and didn't monitor them enough to realize they didn't understand the training materials. She's very intelligent - she's just one of those people that go at their own pace and expect others to keep up.
Anno
I can kind of relate to that. Not that I go particularly fast but I can some times slide into a frame of reference which is a bit self-absorbed. It's a little frustrating to have to translate out of that to deal with other people when needed.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Yeah, I can be like that, too. I'm good at moving out of that state when I'm working with other people, though. If I need other people to keep up with me in order for me to be successful, I try hard to make sure everything is as simple as possible for everyone.
I think she's bad at that part. I'm going to simplify everything as much as possible for the undergrads so that they can't possibly make mistakes on most things.
For example, students were having trouble classifying a certain type of response before now. They had guidelines for each response code, and then there was a code called "other" which is "anything that isn't given an explicit code" Well, that's perfectly fine for some that has a complete and full understanding of what each of the other codes are, but we // she was already aware that students weren't always completely accurate with that part. So having "other" made things overly complicated for those people because it turns into a category you can throw anything you have doubts about and feel justified about it. She saw that it was a problem but it never occurred to her that she could break down the "other" category to make it easier to understand.
moon
i do that too, i think sometimes i'm worried about oversimplifying or over-explaining and not giving enough meaningful messaging, but then sometimes i end up giving off too much vague direction and people don't understand
『sk』
>I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man Man, Jay-Z can rap
Anno
>>255287 Yeah, a lot of my thinking is done within my internal frame of reference -- as in opposed to...actually I dunno. But I know from experience that doing my thinking there gives me translation issues when trying to explain it to people. There's been times when I'm describing a process or line of thought to people, only having to double back and try and put it in a different wording or expression so that the people I'm trying to explain it to can understand.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
I think some people just have difficulties relating things properly to other people that don't have the same level of capability or understanding. I'm pretty good at extracting data from the environment and arranging it in my head, so I think I'm a good intermediary for her because I can translate her to her undergrads.
Her organization is so bad. She has her training materials in a general folder that contains folders for other projects and then there's a folder called "project data" which contains files that go along with the training materials, but even though the folder is titled "data", it's not exclusively data. It's just a general folder for the project. So why keep the training materials outside it?
But it's Google Drive, so every time I change something's location, everyone loses access to it except for me and my professor, so I'll have to fix that. That's probably for the best, though, because people that haven't been on this research team in 1+ years still had access to all of these files.
She's so scatterbrained.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Also, she primarily uses Apple devices, but all of the research stuff is divided between an online Microsoft One Note cloud and a Google Drive cloud.
Anno
A professor I had back when I was doing math used One Note for his lectures. He'd just scroll down when he needed more space to write out more equations and diagrams. Seemed pretty convenient really.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Yeah, I think One Note is actually pretty good.
I think using Google Drive and One Note together is really inefficient, though. Google Drive is good for collaborative things, but this isn't particularly collaborative. Google Drive doesn't benefit the project at all.
Anno
I use Google Drive (specifically Docs, really) for pretty much any long form typing I do. Since I've got the Chromebook and Docs is the most accessible and free typing app on it. Typing on chiclet keyboards like you find on laptops is the most comfortable typing for me so I prefer to do it on laptops if I'm stuck at it for a long time.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
I do most of my notes in Google Drive or Google Keep just because it's so easy, but Google Drive is just terrible to use as a cloud for sharing files.

Maybe the problem is that the subject of the photo is so uninteresting to me that it's biasing me against the photos. That one looks really boring to me.
It's kind of funny that Stan Lee basically wrote Tony Stark into The Reflection. There's a character that's an alcoholic who uses a big robot suit and is a megalomaniac.
He's a little different, at least. Tony Stark thought he was doing the right thing and this guy is a one-hit wonder attention whore that's fighting bad guys while blasting his one-hit wonder song in order to get attention and make money.
Maria
how did that show end up being? is it good?
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
I wouldn't say it's bad.
I watched episodes 1-3 a while ago and I'm watching 4 right now. It's interesting, but the animation style is unique for the sake of being unique. The art style just looks like a flash cartoon, more or less. It lends itself to the show on very rare occasions, but it mostly just looks cheap.
Some of the powers in the show are kind of stupid, too. There's a crippled girl whose power is that her wheelchair magically turns into a large, children's toy-like robot that seems to project energy to do things like fly. It looks really dumb and not in a fun, dorky way.
Some of the character motivations so far are a little weird, too.
I wouldn't say it's worth watching as of now. I feel a little bad watching it because I feel like I could be spending my time on something more entertaining.
>>255305 Yeah. Stan Lee voice acts a little in it, too. He says "Last time on The Reflection!" and announces the next episode title and says "Excelsior!" at the end of the episodes.
Anno
>>255302 I guess Lee's still got the wit to know making a direct expy of Stark is probably a little bit of hackiness. It's kind of neat how involved he still is with work despite being so old he should have been outright retired decades ago.
Maria
>>255304 This just makes it sound "eh" like it's not really unwatchable, but it's not worth your time. >I feel like I could be spending my time on something more entertaining That's basically the worst reaction your audience can give you.

Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
I think the worst part is that I actually quite like some of the characters, but the show is just so dull sometimes.
Like, when the fake Iron Man first shows up, he fights a bunch of bad guys in New York, and a reporter is like, "You'll continue to protect New York, right?" and he's like "haha actually i live in LA" and he just fuckin leaves I love that.

>>255314 I thought it was a really good episode. I would give it like a 9.5 out of 10. The only reason I can't give it a 10/10 is that masterpieces like Space Dandy's Limbo and Mariamite's Yumi's Umbrella episodes exist.
Oh, this one-hit-wonder guy can't sing anymore because his powers make it so he emits some kind of sonic energy that destroys shit when he does. That's kind of interesting.
>>255317 It was really well done. I think PriPri will be 2 cour. I'm really excited. I think it's my AOTS.
I like the skill with how they handled the reveal of the episode. For people paying attention to detail it's been apparent since episode two but they still used the idea in a really compelling story for the episode.
ToN
sounds like another anime i can eventually grab huh
Yuu
We kinda knew something was up there but the way the reveal worked out was great. When Princess was talking about how she was basically empty, I was like "wow that's so me" She's definitely character of the year.
I like how well they're handling the character development. I feel like a lot of times, character development struggles to work without linear chronology but they've done it really well.
Anno
The part where they went all in on the stress of playing her part was really well done. That shot of her in the flashback after the revolution was really good.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Yeah, with those bags under her eyes.
Fear was a really good motivator for her. She's a really well written character.
Yuu
I haven't noticed it in previous episodes, but she smiled a crooked smile in a few places this episode. I'll have to go back and look to see if she does it in the previous episodes.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
She really hasn't.
This was episode 20, though. We don't know what happened between episode 16 (episode 7) and this episode, but she's been slowly becoming more like a spy as time goes on.
Anno
I think it was a bit of fun in the moment. That was the scene she was addressing the target at the endo -end of the episode I think.
Yuu
I think the big reveal kinda shows that she's been the ultimate spy the whole time!
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Yeah. She's really cool. Maybe the most interesting character this year.
Yuu
She's my favorite in a long time. I wonder how the series is doing in terms of popularity.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
It seems like the sales predictions aren't out yet.
It was predicted to do poorly around episode 2, but it's extremely popular on 2ch.
Anno
Series that take place wholly outside Japan, at least concerning real world locations, always seem to have a bit of an uphill climb to clear in terms of popularity. I hope it does well though. If the series doesn't do well enough on the first season sales there's a chance it might not get the second half. Depends on how the committee managing it dictates.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Here's the amazon episode ranking. The difference between the first episode's lowest rank and the episode 7 highest rank is 1000 amazon ranks.
Yuu
That looks about like what I would expect. It did not stand out early on but it's been better and better.
Anno
>>255338 Geez, they're getting REALLY close to the top by episode seven. Plus it's funny to see how there's interest bumps with each episode's release.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
After episode 5, there was a lot of talk about the show because of how great the action was and in response to that, the PriPri folks started streaming all of the episodes for free or something. Once a week, you can marathon it all before the new episode on Nico, I think.
Anno
>streaming all of the episodes for free New meta. That's a really smart way to keep interest and build popularity with fans. Coincidentally, things that generally help boost sales.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
It's an especially great way to get new fans, too. Since it gets talked about more, more people want to see it, but can't since the episodes don't usually get reran through the week other than the latest episode.
The PriPri folks want to turn this into a really big multimedia franchise.
Anno
Yeah it's like HBO series like Game of Thrones. I think giving people a way to watch back episodes helps a lot.
There's also the manner of Netflix how they dump the entire series all at once. But they don't have to deal with synchronized weekly releases on an actual television channel.
Yuu
>>255343 Maybe they will come out with a better phone game if they do.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
>>255345 The game is already there, I doubt they'll do another. But there were whispers of a real game. And novels or light novels.
>>255344 Yeah. I think a combo of them where you build weekly interest and provide new viewers the ability to catch up is a really good strategy for anime.
Anno
Like a real, non-phone game, or a real mobage.
Anno
Hot shit.
Yuu
A PS4 game would be nice. I wonder what the gameplay would be like.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU

But a model that demonstrates success might be able to help move things forward.
Maria
Sunrise has been really generous lately with all the gundam they've been putting on youtube for free. It helps that they have a bunch of toys to advertise.
I heard Trigger is setting up a Patreon. I like the idea of being able to pay what you think a show is worth.
moon
the anime industry would definitely benefit from a patreon model, though the transition would be hard i mean that's essentially what comiket is but in a less digital and more festive format
Maria
I'd really appreciate it if what shows get brought over wasn't at the mercy of liscencing companies like funimation.
>>255355 It's a big issue of risk and scale though. People at comiket sell as a hobby. Wheras anime studios have a bottom line.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
In the past, they've tried changing prices of BDs and things like that - it doesn't improve sales in any significant way. I highly doubt these companies would consider changing attempting again, considering the industry tends to be tight on money as is. Patreon is something that would work for Trigger because Trigger has a massive western fanbase. A Patreon model isn't quite culturally acceptable in Japan yet.
moon
>>255356 >people at comiket sell as a hobby i think you underestimate that some do but there are professional con venders, even here outside of japan
but even then, the fan base is niche enough that it wouldn't // the individual projects would be funded rather than contracted agreements to fill a time slot

Anno
>>255360 The line for Himura Dairy (creator of the Tawawa series) had hundreds and hundreds of people in it and each one was paying at least 1000yen for the book set, nevermind the ones who would have been paying much more for the other goods for sale.
>>255362 How much do you think the average creator makes? I assume that only a few get those big lines with hundereds of people.
Anno
No fucking clue man. I've only been to one Comiket, I'm not exactly experienced. I would say for the big names (both the ones I mentioned probably were) it's a tonne of money though. But then you get the no-names that sell maybe five books in one day.

>>255365 The other thing is people skilled enough in illustration to make bank at Comiket are usually skilled enough to find illustration jobs elsewhere. Like Himura Dairy is the arist for the SAO Alternative manga.
Koi-
Like you want to know the average person there but you have to GET in there. A better question is what is the percentage of amateur hour people there.
moon
just a rough guyess, but what // just a rough guess, but what percent of the content at comiket do you think is h-content specifically visual print, not software
Anno
Hm. I'd hazard somewhere between 60-75% of what I saw was pornographic. Or at least close enough to not be distinguishable from the cover alone.
>>255371 Yeah but in a lot of cases it might be difficult to say for certain for some of those, before you get close enough to see if it's got R-18 or "adults only" slapped somewhere on the cover.
moon
i'd put ecchi in the non-h content personally but that's debatable i guess
moon
i wasn't sure if maybe they sectioned it out or something like if h content had its own area was there any organization to it or was it just a huge fuck
Anno
I would say there's no formal sectioning. They --Well when it comes to ratings. There is some organization for series. Like, Tiger and Bunny is still ridiculously popular with the fujos over there, and on the fujo day there were like three or four neighbouring half-aisles for the series. There was similar partitioning for Pokemon, Kekkai Sensen. They even try to lump like series together when the actual circles producing for those series are too few to have their own identity. The series that come out of the Kirara magazine publications all get packed together. Gochuumon, New Game, Hidamari Sketch, Kiniro Mosaic, etc.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
almost to 100 followers on twitter i'm at 95 now
moon
tiger and bunny will always be popular it's an instant classic
Anno
The largest partitions by far are Touhou and Kancolle. I think the Touhou partition was large enough to have to parts in both the East and West hall on its day. Though that might've been split for reasons I don't understand yet.
>>255375 I don't refute that but when I say it's popular with the fujos, I mean those aisles of Tiger & Bunny doujinshi were pretty much exclusively homoerotic works.
Maria
>>255375 I wonder if that Hollywood movie will ever happen
>>255379 Mostly. I would have figured there might've been a bit more hetero content, but nope. Fujoshi are if nothing, consistent.
The fujoshi also really, really like Kekkai Sensen over there too. They and their tastes also made the near-total majority over the partition for that series as well.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU

I wish I could throw Distance Counter on things. This is dumb.
Koi-
>we need to nerf Distance Counter >I'm going to put Distance Counter on neo-Ike I don't think they understand what they're doing.
ToN
fury emblem they cant kill you if you kill yourself
moon
armored tome users when
Koi-
Honestly, they should have never made Blade Tomes. That was probably their biggest mistake. None of this would be an issue.
I like the new Lucina. But I don't need a Lance. I need an Axe.
Yuu
I'm pretty disappointed with the new Lucina. A buffing spear-user is pretty much the kind of unit I need the least.
moon
how the heck an axe user gonna be effective against flying units how does that even make sense??
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Lucina is actually really good as a support unit. There are a lot of teams that she will make super broken.
Koi-
wait, hold on, what the fuck, they gave him URVAN
ToN
does lucina have the same dub voice for all heroes versions
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
uhh of course
Yuu
>>255451 The problem is that I have Delthea, who does what she does but better.
ToN
>>255454 i ask because her dub voice in heroes isnt her dub voice in awakening and as a fan of her original actress i can tell palla has her old voice, more evidence found in that palla's voice is uncredited
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
>>255455 Since when does Delthea give +3 atk and +6 speed to nearby units?
Yuu
>>255457 Dealthea pumps up attack to nearby units. It's different stats but Delthea has a similar weapon and drive atk instead of drive spd. On top of this Delthea murders everything on her own right.
I get that she's different than this Lucina, but she's pretty similar.
>>255456 I don't think Laura Bailey will be doing Lucina anymore. She isn't doing her in the switch game either.
moon
>>255457 yeah i'm pairing that with my life and death bride charlotte and bride cordelia and probably -- hm maybe not since i don't have anything tanky and green
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
>>255458 I think +6 speed and +3 attack is a lot better than +9 attack.
But either way, this Lucina is very good. Her art just happens to be the worst art in the entire game.
>>255460 Well, it's true that her art is awful. I think she's good but the worst of the four.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
>>255462 I think Roy is worse. Roy has built-in Heavy Blade and Galeforce, but, like, who cares about that? He's such a boring and simple unit, and he doesn't really do anything well except attack. That makes him not very useful - everyone already has a sword cav unit that's better than Roy.
Lucina is going to be one of the best support units in the game, and she'll be a decent tank.
ToN
gale force dancers?
moon
i bet that one dude is gonna be happy about roy the one trying to do roy solo vs infernal maps
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
People looking through the data also found this >After combat, inflicts Atk-7 on foes within within 2 spaces of target through their next actions. It's apparently Lyn's C skill, atk smoke.
ToN
oh ok
moon
>>255466 threaten attack but within 2 spaces of the target instead? and she's an archer okay that's pretty nuts
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Ike has this A skill. >If attacked, unit granted Def+4 during combat; also gains Special cooldown charge +1. (If using other similar skill, only highest value applied.)
Koi-
>Heavy Blade >Def+4 >80% Reduction Oh, +1 I see.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
it's not heavy blade, blue read it again if he is attacked, he gets +1 to his charge
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
ike also has 35 def
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
and 52 atk
ToN
thats quite a wall
Yuu
Ika will be insanely good, yes. Ike and Lyn are super broken. I keep typing Ika instead.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Lyn has 38 speed and her A skill is swift sparrow so she gets 42 speed when attacking. Distant counter foes can't counter attack her. And every enemy within 2 spaces of her target gets -7 attack.
She also has 51 attack with swift sparrow. Her defense is trash at 18, but she has 28 res.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Roy is really funny. 26 defense and 24 res, 38 hp, and 34 speed.
He's like Xander if Xander's horse's legs got broken.
He even has the same amount of attack as Xander.
Yuu
I think some kind of bowbreaker archer or ninja may be necessary to deal with Lyn. Although I'm thinking about a colorless killer Elise.
Koi-
I think Lyn is okay. Ike is going to be annoying as hell. Cavalry Archer is good in its own right. But I dont feel like she's a game changer. All her counter abilities require her to attack.
moon
>>255478 robinm or frobin with gronnraven and triangle adept should do it triadept applies to colorless with raven tomes
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Lyn's RES is high enough that those units won't one-shot her.
That's a big problem because it means they die.
Yuu
>>255480 They would, yes, but the problem is that I want a multipurpose unit. I'm also concerned about >>255481
Koi-
I really don't have much concern about Lyn. Just run up on her. Ike is the problem.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Ike is only going to be difficult to deal with if you're using a Horse Emblem team.
Yuu
>>255483 She's a horse archer. What are you going to run up on her with? Only horse teams will be able to run up on her.
Koi-
>>255484 Well not just that but a preemptive snipe on any good flier teams. Does Hone Fliers even exist in game yet? lol >>255485 I am horse. But even without horse, you just rotate someone into position.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Yeah, all the flier bonus skills exist.
Every good flier team has TA Palla. A TA Palla will decimate Ike despite his skills.
Yuu
>>255486 You mean use a movement skill or a dancer or both to propel a single unit way forward into the enemy team expressly for the purpose of killing Lyn (hopefully) and then dying. And you have to do all this just barely out of her movement range so you can actually set up without her zooming in and killing something.
It's a tall order if you aren't a horse team.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
Well, it depends on terrain.
You're really at mercy of RNG.
Koi-
Yeah. There's lots of things that get in the way of Horse.
Yuu
>>255489 On a good portion of maps she can just zoom across and kill you though.
moon
>>255489 the arena maps this week make me want to cut my arms off
>>255491 I don't agree. Her range is the same as Cecilia and Reinhardt and Ursula, but I've never once had any of them just "zoom across the map" and kill me.
Koi-
Most of the time you have to ... no ALL of the time, you have to move at least one step.
Yuu
Rein zooming across the map and killing a unit is something that happens to me constantly. Rein is an asshole.
moon
>>255491 run jagen up on her and give everyone wings of mercy or run jagen up on someone close so he gets hurt rather
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
>>255495 that sounds like something that's completely your fault
Yuu
>>255497 You can't tell me that you've never lost a unit to Rein showing up at a bad time.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
>>255498 I won't lie and say I've never lost a unit to Reinhardt, but every time it's happened, it's been my fault for placing units badly.
Koi-
That's happened like once. But that wasn't because of Reinhardt That was because of Reinhardt + Dancer So I always watch for that noe now
Yuu
>>255499 And by "my fault" you mean that you haven't been carrying around a unit to deal with Rein. Rein will stick it up your butt unless you hard counter him.
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
>>255501 That's completely wrong. I have never once in my entire life thought that I need to bring a hard counter to Reinhard. Hell, I've never thought I needed to bring a hard counter to Hector.
Your playstyle seems really weird and neurotic to me!
Yuu
Okay, so how do you deal with Rein given that he can one shot a huge portion of the characters in the game?
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
I just use whatever green unit is on my team to kill him because he generally can't one-shot my green units. And more importantly, he rarely gets to attack my units because I kill him before he can.
moon
except this week you don't even get a prep turn on these fuckin maps
Yuu
Do you dash across the map instantly to get him every time?
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
I just bait him.
Koi-
Yeah Just check for his range and put a green tome within it. He'll go right for them. Cecilia takes like six damage and then blasts his shit
>>255512 >>255510 what arena ranks? i'm seeing a ton of them, that's why i'm bringin frobin everywhere i actually counter most reinhardts with olwen lol she kills him every time unless he's on an armored space
Kirara☆ !Sh0sAiDORU
I never see them between ranks 16-18. I fight rank 19s and rank 20s sometimes and rarely see him with those either.
If your team's stats are high enough, you won't find Reinhardt because his stats are low.
moon
>>255515 but dire thunder causes arena score weight to go up same with all uniques you still get good score rating despite his low stats
Koi-
but yeah, that's why I don't really think Lyn will be much of an issue. I'll just put Eldigan in front instead Now if you're gonna be that bitch who's got Horse Lyn / Ninian / Reinhardt in that formation. There'll be problems.
Kirara☆
>>255516 dire thunder doesn't increase it enough to be significant compared to units with high stats
moon
i don't know how much weapons increase it tbh just that it does
Yuu
>>255507 Yeah, like I said you need a character that can actually bait him. But it's fine, I guess I'm just being neurotic.
moon
neurotic isn't a bad thing i'm pretty neurotic
Kirara☆
>>255520 any green character can be used to bait him i just use whatever green character i happen to have on my team when he shows up
Koi-
It really bothers me that I don't have Leo now. I need the red tome cavalry option so I can swap out Eldigan in case I need to. And I can just have Camus take his Physical/High Def slot With Ike running around, I really need it.
Yuu
>>255522 Rein will knock the snot out of a good number of green units. but I don't really want to argue about it anymore. I'm glad you don't have problems with Rein and Hector.
Kirara☆
idk all i can say is ive never experienced that problem
Kirara☆
the only actually consistently annoying thing in arena is armor teams right now
arena is always so boring though it's hard to find someone with an interesting team
Koi-
Interesting is hard to do.
Kirara☆
interesting is easy just use a variety of units
moon
tbh im getting a ton of friend invites from people in arena -- either ones that ive been or i'm assuming that beat me bc they aren't in the defeated list i try to make teams that are fun to play against
Koi-
Variety of what though? There are units that are good and ones that are trash. And you're gonna end up seeing a lot of the good ones. I feel like the best way to make a team is to just make something that can kill just one unit. That's it. Just fuck up someone's score lol
Kirara☆
trash units become good units all the time why? because almost every unit can be made good with inheritance other than henry or caeda
people should just have fun try to enjoy themselves stop just piling meta characters together
Koi-
People want fucking feathers, dude. 20k won't happen overnight.
moon
yeah but you only need one defense win for feathers after that, set your defensive team to whatever i have a four-robin team where each one has a different build based off their awkward IV one of them has pavise and 45 hp lol i just love imagining what people think when they see this weird shit sometimes
Kirara☆
and most of the time you'll never get a defense win anyway
moon
>>255537 i can't think of the last time i didn't get at least one i swap it out afterwards though because i dont like being mean i feel bad seeing a list of 12 people who ive cockblocked and had to start over
Kirara☆
i usually don't get one until like the last fuckin day
That doesn't happen with my team because I guess people actually know how to kill horses now. Which is why I'm curious as to how bad Cavalry Emblem really is right now.
Yuu
I'm still trying to figure out what brings in the defense wins. I'm thinking it has to do with tricky units that people aren't used to dealing with.
I'm convinced i don't even get anyone fighting me in defense my teams are probably too strong
>>255555 nobody wants to fight horse emblem it's annoying and not fun
Koi-
I haven't won at defense in three weeks.
Koi-
That's really why I'm like "Am I just losing?" But if people are DODGING ELDIGAN That would explain much
Koi-
Well, now I have Wrys in front.
🌙
i use olwen or frobin or young tiki as my reveal or bride lyn
Kirara☆
i use alm or m corrin
Kirara☆
been using sonya for a little bit though
Koi-
I bet they're just shadowbanning me from Arena
Koi-
it's definitely THE SYSTEM
Koi-
>I want interesting teams build a team of L egion
Kirara☆
that would be interesting
Kirara☆
i love seeing shit like this
Kirara☆Kirara☆
i wonder if you can put the binding blade on horse roy
moon
shit i dont have my robin image saved it's a +hp robin with pavise, poison strike 3, and that skill that does 7 damage in an area around the target and then everyone else is someone who's there to pick someone off, like kagerou or rein or firesweep roderick i get defense wins just because people will quit as soon as one thing dies
Kirara☆
heavy blade pavise on a 5* olivia
Kirara☆
pass on robin
Kirara☆
the fact that this was in my defense victories still gets me
Koi-
probably a misstep somewhere
moon
>>255570 sometimes i go into battle and like "oh, this will be easy" and then i realize that i put an olwen or robin on the team that doesn't have any weapons or skills equipped maybe that happened to them like it happens to me a lot
Koi-
Yeah, I'd go in after doing some mission where I used different skills and now the skills are bad to use in Arena
moon
well fuck, i'm able to use my mechanical keyboard fine if i plug it into my laptop i guess it really was my motherboard failing i thought for sure it was the keyboard wiring that got janky af that makes things easier i basically double my productivity with this thing
ps blue i have the moth files if you feel like workin on anythin fun
Kirara☆
im feeling light headed again ive been light headed a lot lately
moon
make sure you get good rest for the trip you're gonna be on a plane you might get nosebleeds
Kirara☆
why would I get a nosebleed from a flight

Kirara☆
I wonder if the problem is dietary or something. I've been eating less recently.
I can't deadlift into carry heavy things very well it seems. I was helping my dad cart in a new dryer and now one of my arms is a little messed up. And it takes a lot of effort to clench that hand into a first. Fist even.
moon
it takes a lot to make a stew
Kirara☆
sometimes you've got so much beef in your stew that you can't see the carrots -kirara, 2016 - taking a crisis call
>>255588 hang on a second i feel like you stole that from a conversation we were having on /moe/ because i remember having a discussion like that
Anno
Also you'd think after decade after decade after decade of designing large electrical appliances, some bright fucker would have the good sense to design them with handholds for people that have to lift them and carry them into houses. Instead of having to grab on to hard metal edges or low-friction plastic.
Kirara☆
>>255590 I've posted that on /moe/ before several times
Maria
>>255588 You know I gotta say the best part of a stew is definitely the onions
moon
>>255592 i feel like that's something i would have said are you sure you didn't steal it from me
Kirara☆
>>255594 absolutely sure i made up a bunch of nonsense metaphors at work to tell people on the lines they sounded like they meant something but they didn't but people thought they did so they'd think really hard on them and learn something about themselves that usually helped them through their crisis
moon
i'm gettin anxious about the trip it's COMIN UP i really hope i get paid on time. one time i got paid by e-check which would "clear in three to seven days" and i was really pissed but it was allowed in the contract so i had to roll with it i'm not gonna have a dollar if i don't get paid on time and there's so much cool shit i wanna get while we're there
Kirara☆
I'm sure it'll work out I can help with money if it really comes down to it
moon
i mea // i mean i'm not poor i just had to spend 900 bucks at a microcenter and pay a bunch of my mom's bills and i'm a contractor that sometimes doesn't get paid on time i want to be FREE i want to go to the festival and go sit at those fuckin food booths and order sushi and real ramen and like six bottles of ramune and some fried squid and like three orders of takoyaki and a carafe of sake -- for myself -- as a mid-meal pick-me-up then i gotta go hit up the frozen treats and get some ice cold green tea mochi and then order a plate of unagidon and a beef curry to snack on while we check out the european gardens (there won't be events going on in that section so it's peaceful and there's a bunch of cool stuff there too)
i suggest we do a quick walkthough // walkthrough of the whole garden asap during a down event and then we'll check out where we want to go from there, which events, and we can eye out the scenery and what the places are like so that we can look at what events are going on where on the 3rd and plan for what we wanna film and when
and take day one a little easier and just scouting, maybe take some test footage but it's possible it will be raining anyway so that might not be important
>>255599 you know that thing they say about how imagination is so much better than the graphic detail when it comes to suggestive content i feel the same here except that you have to use your imagination to see what the text message says

oh dude i think jan would like the victorian garden it's got so many cool fountain statues also a little sandwich shop that has peanut butter and jelly sandiwches for five bucks and sometimes there's a beekeeper there man i love the botanical gardens they're so cool i wish i could live there
Maria
It'd be a pretty cool place to work Just trimming bushes and stuff all day
Kirara☆
we have a crappy botanical garden here i went there with whoa
Yuu
That's a strange place to go with whoa. Did you guys have fun?
bangu
i'm about to eat some delicious chinese food

Yuu
Just a couple of dudes hanging out at the botanical gardens.
Kirara☆
I'm sure that makes your heart go doki doki.
moon
what's wrong with the botanical gardens? i think they're great up until i moved to tennessee i was a full-time member there and i used to go there like three times a week and just loved it
Forgive me for showing off a little too much of my country, but if you want to look at pretty plants you should just grow them. Botanical gardens is where you go on a date if they person you're dating is really lame.
Kirara☆
Most people don't have room to grow many plants. I think botanical gardens are nice to go to sometimes. They're not something I'd go on a date to with any real frequency but they're fine sometimes.
moon
>>255614 i used to take my ex to the botanical gardens at least once a week, usually more we were full-time members and got access to lots of cool events it's not just the plants. it's the architecture and everything too the missouri gardens are freakin huge sometimes i'd go there and just write in a notebook for hours, other times we'd go and take pictures
i think it's really cool and i would love having dates at a botanical gardens that sounds really fun maybe you're the lame one
Anno
>>255614 okay okay okay so where do you go if the person you're dating is cool????
ToNKirara☆
>>255617 you do something cool like a deep sea fishing trip or go rock climbing or hiking
Yuu
>>255617 Are you normie-kun? Are you trying to steal my notes?
Anno
>>255620 oh yeah i think i might have a new ip i most likely have a new ip but nooooooo im politely asking for your notes
>>255621 You're having a tough time lately so I'll help you just this once. You go to a go-kart track and bump into each other while playfullying spewing profanities at each other in front of little kids. Definitely a fun date.
>>255632 The go-kart place I went to had bumpers on the cars. You could bump each other really well with them. They did not go fast enough for it to be dangerous.
Pan and I bumped into each other a bit on a roller coaster and he cursed a lot during it but that's not a date I'm not sure why I'm bringing it up
Anno
roller skating is something ive always wanted to do as a date but i feel like thats more of something an already established couple would do not something to do on a first date
it does include being silly adults in front of a bunch of children though
moon
yeah i don't see activitties being good first/second/third date territory when you're tired of talkin to each other and want something fun okay i guess but my experiences, it's always lackluster i'd rather just take them and hang at the park
I don't know about that, though I guess bumping shoulders effectivley is more intimate
Anno
speaking of neat dates i took this one girl to a billiards bar and had a few drinks and a ton of fun gr8 d8 m8

I went horseback riding with Fish a few weeks ago on the beach I tried to find the cheesiest, crappy date I could but I forgot she was afraid of horses So I was like SURPRISE and she saw the horses and cried oops
I guess that's not actually horseback riding

guys ive pretty much only been meeting girls through tinder recently
now that i have this fresh face from real life i truly dont know how to message her its a totally different conversational atmosphere also im trying to make her my girlfriend and not just a fuckbuddy so that makes it even more different for me
Kirara☆
All wrong!

i just asked fish what she'd have done if id tried to give her a backpack like that when we first met and she said i never would have been given a key to her house lol

Kirara☆
>>255729 It's probably not a good method for most people. I naturally pull people towards me for some reason. Eventually one will figure out how to bypass my defenses and worm their way into my heart.
That kind of method won't work with people that have low defenses. Doing that with low defenses just makes you easy.

moon
imo best approach is focus on doing what you want to do with your life you'll find people when you get there
Koi-
>Approach can we really call it that
Kirara☆
I'm not sure it's an approach because the goal is to avoid relationships but it does seem to work. It's relationship Darwinism.
Yuu
>>255753 Why not? A lot of what girls do is advertise and hope for takers. Why is it not an approach when a guy does it?
Koi-
>>255756 It's not an approach when there's no actual attempt at advertising nor hope for a taker. Kirara's "approach" was 'I dont want anyone or anything right now because I am a wreck of a human being'.
>>255754 Yeah, actually. Girls will be attracted to guys who have female approval but don't seem to want a relationship. If your goal was to not have women after you, you did the wrong thing.
Anno
>>255762 Some girls love those damaged goods, after all. Though those aren't always the best catches to go for, hoh hoh hoh.

If you had to rate an act as maybe something like a percent of murder: What percent of murder is getting someone fired and them eventually starved? What percent of murder is getting someone fired and condemning them to a shitty life of working as a janitor or something and never realizing their dreams? What percent of muder is making someone financially unable to have children?
If someone ruined my life I would probably consider doing something about it. These are people's lives. These are the things worth getting that upset over.

I see getting someone fired as declaring war on them.

It becomes something that isn't about society and is just a matter between two people. Society still exists but the parties are driven so far that they don't care about that.
That was kind of why I was trying to get at. People should not do these things because it leads to these situations.
Maria

I used to arrive at school pretty early because it was a private school and we didn't have buses so my dad dropped me off on the way to work. And there was a table I sat at because I was one of the first there And there was a phone on this table and this phone had a little tray that pulled out on the bottom with a place on it to write contacts and I am the kind of person who fidgets and messes with stuff so I pulled this little tray out one day and drawn on it was a very detailed drawing of a pentagram with a goat's head in the middle needless to say I never sat at that table again this was my freshman year
Kirara☆
Wow, that's funny.
My mom's satanic so I was pretty used to stuff like that.
Koi-
>it wasn't a penis
Maria
>>256219 Wow, you missed out on a pretty interesting story arc
Koi-
that was the arc a single episode nay, a 4koma
moon
>>256219 that's even less scary than ghosts you sure are a wuss puss!
Yuu
>>256223 I don't want anything to do with that story arc.
>>256225 No, it was 10/10 scary. My face went ghost white.
>>256226 I initially misread it and thought you said that you drew the pentagram.
Yuu
>>256230 You just mean that as a figurative thing, right?
>>256224 Yeah, that would have been a pretty classic 4koma. Girl sits down Girl fidgets and starts to pull it out Terrified reaction face Girl gets up and leaves
Kirara☆
>>256233 She's got a pentagram belly button piercing and a tattoo of one on the back of her neck.
FormerRei@mobile
>>256235 That's kind of gross SHE HAS A TATTOO your mom isn't a very good Jew
Kirara☆
Well, no, she worships the devil sometimes. The one that isn't in Judaism.
She also claims she's Jewish with Buddhist leanings.
moon
you mean the white man
Yuu
>>256235 >>256239 Okay, in that case I don't think I could get along with your mom.
Kirara☆
She brags about taking people off of ventilators at the hospital, like, she says she got to kill someone because she stopped life support. I always call her out on it and she pretends to feel guilty.
Maria
>>256235 for what purpose do people do these things
Koi-
You have but one life to do all the things you want to do.
FormerRei@mobile
>>256244 To be edgy Although the actual American satanist movement exists as sort of antidisestablishmentarian organization
Maria
>>256245 yeah you have one life so don't screw it up >>256247 yeah doing it for a legit reilgious purpose is different >>256251 you only got one life, are you just gonna NOT bang the catgirl?
Yuu
>>256243 I can handle sociopaths and other forms of bad people. Pentagrams and devil stuff still spooks me. I don't like to look at pentagrams ever.
>>256249 The people I'm talking about don't, they fo it as an elaborate joke
sk
You gotta be fairly devout to be creeper out by pentagrams and stuff
moon
>>256257 i'm sure there are some that are pretty good people i don't deal with many though so i dunno
Anno
>>256255 If it makes you feel better I'm pretty much as atheist as an agnostic can get.
Maria
I knew a guy who called himself a sociopath who was alright But I don't think he was a real sociopath I think he was just a teen who thought it sounded cool
Koi-
>>256260 I wouldn't call that devout. That's more ... I don't really have a good word. There's a much better word that "trauma" here. Because that's not necessarily traumatic.
>>256264 It's not devout in itself, but it's a sign of it A symptom kinda
Yuu
>>256260 I don't think fear is intelligent enough to be a product of thought or faith. It's just fear.
moon
kirara for my edification what is the difference between psychosis and psychopathy
Kirara☆
Psychopathy is generally an interchangeable term with sociopathy and psychosis refers to a genuine psychotic state.
Koi-
It's just that you don't have to be devout to heed the warnings of your elders to not screw around with Jenga boards and stuff like that >Jenga what are those things called Ouija I think
Yuu
>>256265 Well, I was deeply afraid of that kind of thing as a kid.
sk
>>256271 Yeah but you wouldn't stay afraid of stuff, usually, if you didn't recognize the danger on some level
There are phobias though I guess
Koi-
lol Jenga boards are the devil
Kirara☆
haha jenga boards
>>256272 Well, it's a good thing you'll never meet my mom. She likes to show off her tattoo and piercing.
Yuu
>>256271 The girl across the street had an ouija board. I was not afraid of that.
moon
>>256270 okay here's what psychology today says: >A number of things can cause psychosis, from schizophrenia to depression to sleep deprivation. Psychopathy , is a personality disorder which consists of a lack of empathy, impulsivity, recklessness, scrupulousness, callousness, and lying. ... Psychosis says nothing about morality, whereas psychopathy does
i'm familiar with psychosis plenty but the discussion we were having made me curious about the latter because i've always ignored the words sociopath/psychopath as edgy nonsense that my mom would call anybody she doesn't like
FormerRei@mobile
>>256271 >It's just that you don't have to be devout to heed the warnings of your elders to not screw around with Jenga boards and stuff like that Aside from the "Jenga instead of oujia" thing I'd like tto point out that yeah, actually you do It's a fucking toy dude
Koi-
>>256277 You were definitely the exact kind of person I was warned about.
>>256279 psychopathy isn't really a clinical term It's only really used in a forensic setting to refer to people a psychologist thinks should go to jail for a while
moon
>>256284 i didn't think it was but i thought i'd re-up on my understanding of things sometimes i dig up thoughts that come from 16 year old me and i forget that they're outdated
Kirara☆
One of the reasons Teacup got along so badly with my mom is because she was pretty religious and the pentagram shit pissed her off
Koi-
>>256283 Playing around with toys meant to summon DEMONS. And all the kids would not know the difference because it's sold in a store as a game. "Don't go finding friends who will get you possessed by accident."
Yuu
>>256290 I don't think I ever played with the ouija board, I think I just saw it in the closet. Either way, I immediately understood that the point of them was to bully other girls by moving the thingy and acting like you werent'.
moon
it seems boring as hell i wouldn't have had the immersion to care enough about a ouija board as a kid
Yuu
>>256287 Yeah, it doesn't surprise me that she felt that way. I don't like stuff like that either.
>>256294 I think it's literally just a tool for bullying the naive.
Kirara☆
I'm used to it.
I got harassed by a satan worshipper at a beach once too, like in 2013 maybe.
moon
>>256295 with the preface of having deep secret questions you want asked i can't even think of what i would have asked a ouija board, even if i was naive and thought it a cool concept like, what i'm fuckin 11 years of age what do i have to worry about "uh, am i gonna get to go to the lake this weekend?? y or n"
Koi-
>>256280 That's got nothing to do with being 'devout'.
Anno
it's a commercial board game owned by parker brothers the guys who own monopoly ouija that is
FormerRei@mobile
>>256298 Yeah, I guess It has everything to do with not being able tto tell the difference between fantasy and reality
my grandpa taught me about capitalism with monopoly he would just buy every single property without any strategy and he'd just destroy me and be like "you've got so much for learn"
Koi-
>>256301 The border between the two is in a different position based on beliefs. So that doesn't really matter to the people in it.
Yuu
>>256306 Is that how you win monopoly? Just indiscriminately buy everything/
Maria
>>256310 That's basically the meta game Buy everything you land on and try to get sets Then set up property on them as soon as possible
Anno
cheating is the real best strategy slipping a few bills out of the bank here and there
Hey guys I'll run the bank this game. Wow anon you sure have a lot of money! But the bank seems kind of low....
Anno
>>256311 It's always funny how people like to play it up like this strategy is some secret. When the game is literally called MONOPOLY. Play the game how it's called and you win.
Kirara☆
my grandpa would always convince me to keep playing too just so he could destroy me
Koi-
we played speed dice monopoly and it made everyone go around the board like three times before I got to do so once and I got incredibly fucked.
Koi-
>>256317 Where is my Manaka Monopoly manga Entering monopoly competitions to pay off family debts and scrubbing people out with uncommon tactics.
Maria
>>256314 collude with other players in property trading
Koi-
The best part about monopoly was choosing your piece in the beginning. Everything goes down hill from there
