"Kill it kill it kill it kill it"

VV does a dramatic post and does whatever mental gymnastics are required to summon her deer persona.
"This is the architect's office, right? You are the architect. I haven't hurt anyone."

VV arches her eyebrow.
"Wait, actually, the truth is that I'm the architect! Make sure they all know that, too."

Her head moves past VV and stares at Thomas and Felicity angrily. She seems to be ignoring VV.

"We're the architect's friends?"

"Yeah, they're the architect's friends."

Her head retracts to it's normal position. Her eyes are glazed over.

I smile tightly back at the receptionist.

"You let everyone know that I'm okay, correct?"

She nods slowly.

"Did they believe you?"

She doesn't respond.

Pulling the book I had previously taken from the side table out of my bag, I spread it out on the desk in front of me, and start turning through the pages.

VV looks at the door.
"Can you put us through to the chief of police?"

The book is full of strange, inhuman letters,
Although Felicity cannot read them, she feels like she has learned something, though she isn't quite sure what

Thomas observes and looks at Felicity, beaming.

Thomas sees only blank pages if he glances at the book.

"I can't make heads or tails out of these characters. Can you two understand any of it?"

"I see nothing but you see something and that's important, boss."

(VV will also not see anything if she looks)

I shudder and shut the book, pushing it away from myself.
"That's all I care to find from here, I think. Do you two have anything you want to look at, or are we done here?"

"We're probably done here? I mean you went snooping and found the one interesting book-you're going to keep that on you right?-so we should probably look elsewhere."

Thomas gives the room a quick look over just in case.

i.e. glancing around while remaining mostly in place.

It looks the same as it did upon entry.

"Museum?"

Nodding, still a little shakily, I echo the word. "Museum."

Thomas looks at VV. "Museum?"

"That's okay with me."

"No you were supposed to say museum."

and thus the group walked to the museum

The museum was quite unusual. Rather than a building, it appeared to be // the entrance appeared to be a bunker. Outside the open door to the bunker was a sign
"Free tours! Free of charge!"

Are there any immediate signs of potential tour guides that we might want to avoid

The only apparent danger about is that Thomas is smart enough to know that there is no such thing as a free lunch.
A free tour? As if.

I go up to the open door and peer inside the room.

It is brightly lit up and the walls are covered in murals of trees and various shrubbery.

I continue through into the room, looking for any kind of documentation into what this museum is.

Thomas follows as soon as Felicity enters.

There are stairs leading into /// leading down into a long, lit-up hallway with murals along the walls.
Other than that, the room appears to be empty.

"If I recall right the last time we dealt with ominous corridors we made progress."

Following the stairs downward, I look at the series of murals that I am passing by.

The murals depict various scenes which all appear to be stages of a city growing from a seed into the city the team has experienced.

"Look for anything that might suggest the origins of the city."

A seed, by the looks of it."

"If the seed is the origin this city, then the seed is probably the person we're looking for, and if that's the case, then maybe we should look at these murals for a moment and see where that seed was planted?"

"Or any indication of who may have planted the seed."

The murals depict a red man planting the seed, but the details of the main are vague at best.

Shrugging, I continue down the stairs.

The team hears a rumbling sound. It sounds far away.

"Is that the sound of a bunch of frustration-folk stampeding? That wouldn't really make sense I admit, so...
Wait what if the seed can actively manipulate the city and just shifted it?"

"It would probably be one of the less weird things we've seen in our time here."

I continue down the pathway.

The rumbling slowly grows louder.

It occurs to Felicity that it would be terrible if that rumbling was coming from a large ball rolling down the stairs behind them.

"That rumbling sure is innocuous."

"Maybe we should pick up the pace here. I don't really want to be in a narrow hall like this for too long."
I hasten my pace to quickly step down the stairs.

The rumbling grows louder still.

"We should probably just run!"

"These are stairs! It's not exactly easy to run down them!"

"Yup sounds good do good just run good yup."
Thomas cheeses it.

Hurry as they may, the team comes face to face with solid wall. There's nowhere to run anymore as the ball rolls towards them.

"Maybe the rock is fake?"

"You can stand in front of us and ascertain that if you'd like."
I pour over the wall looking for any aberrations or features.

VV pushes on the wall.

An equal and opposite force pushes back but the wall doesn't do anything.

Felicity finds nothing.

I look up to the ceiling and the sides of the hallway nearby.

"What if we just punch the boulder?" Thomas ponders out loud.

I look down along the edge where the wall meets the floor.

the MASSIVE, THROBBING, EXTREMELY LARGE BALL rolls down the hallway quickly towards the group
As it approaches, Felicity feels as if she can command the ball.

"I guess I just have to murder it."

Frantic, I screw my eyes shut and hold my hands out in front of me. "Stop stop stopstopstopstopstop."

The ball stops.
Having stopped moving completely, it almost looks like a large seed.

Once the initial surprise washes over, Thomas tries to stifle some snickering.

I crack one eye open, looking at the giant seed.
Then look back at the wall we were stuck up against, prodding it cautiously.

The wall does not respond.

Swatting the back of Thomas' head, I walk up to the seed and prod it cautiously.

It has a very fibery texture to it but appears to be perfectly round. Though it does not look exactly like a seed as one might expect, it resembles the seed from the murals.

"I don't suppose you'll roll backwards if I ask politely, would you."

It fails to respond.

I give it a hard push, trying to move it up a step.

"Yo Peter what do you make of this not-boulder?"

"It appears to be some sort of seed," the flaming wolf responds.

"Seems pretty consistent."

"Well I'm stuck. This seed doesn't seem to want to budge."

The seed

"It seems like a very stubborn object."

"... snack?"
