So I was taking a look at the circuit diagram for that trng and I saw that it runs at like 200V So I'm definitely waiting until I'm at uni and can use nice safe expensive equipment before build it Fucking tube circuits run at high voltage.

I can hardly believe I used to know how vacuum tubes wworked. Although the tube I'd bbe usung for this is a gas filled tube. There are other tubes on the schematic but I can probably replace them with solid state components Unless it turns out that the parts I need to do it in solid state are more expensive than vacuum tubes.

Also I have no fucking idea how to discretize an analogue signal into a digital one. Hell I don't even know what units the noise generated by this circuit are in. I'm assuming voltage but it could also maybe be Hz.
ㅤFormerRei@mobile
Well actually nnow that I think of it I do know how to discretize an analog signal in the general sense. But I barely know anything about electrical signals. Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
idk i assume it uses a transistor or a bank of transistors to sample the voltage, comparing it against a bunch of specific bias voltages or maybe it puts the sample into a capacitor and lets it leak out beats me
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
> The successive approximation register is initialized so that the most significant bit (MSB) is equal to a digital 1. This code is fed into the DAC, which then supplies the analog equivalent of this digital code (Vref/2) into the comparator circuit for comparison with the sampled input voltage. If this analog voltage exceeds Vin, then the comparator causes the SAR to reset this bit; otherwise, the bit is left as 1. Then the next bit is set to 1 and the same test is done, continuing this binary search until every bit in the SAR has been tested. The resulting code is the digital approximation of the sampled input voltage and is finally output by the SAR at the end of the conversion (EOC). looks like there are various methoda a a binary search on each successive binary digit is one way

No way, Eraserhead is a fantastic movie and David Lynch's way of existing in the world really shines through in it. session 0 is tomorrow I'm still not really sure what a session 0 is, but it seems I don't need to prepare much as the DM I guess the players will have rough outlines of their characters and stuff tho

Session 0 is usually just going over character stuff yeah
s c
whole thing still scares me really like maybe I shouldn't have said I wanted to, so someone else would have had to
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
Usually in cases like that, nobody will step up. If nobody enjoys being DM, usually there's no DM and the game falls apart. It's really common.
s c
I'm just worried it'd have been better if that was what happened I've never even played DnD The DM's supposed to at least know the rules, right?
s c
But I still wanna I wanna make a world and I wanna like a session or two in go like "and to your left, next to this quaint little general store, you see a cartographer's office", and I can slap a map of the world into the discord server That seems like a lot of fun
I'm just worried I'll be bad at it and nobody's gonna have any fun because of it
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
Most of the time, DMs DMing a certain game for the first time have to learn it along with the players. The rules aren;t the most important part of a game so it's fine as everyone gets their footing.
s c
well everyone else has played before
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
And they know you've never played or DM'd before, right?

yeah i said from the start I'd do it if nobody else will and that I haven't played at all before so I really won't know what I'm doing
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
So it's probably fine, then. If they've accepted you as DM, they know that they're going to have to be patient with you and help you learn the ropes.
s c
I guess so I just worry I worry a lot about stuff like this
@Samurai I got answer to that question we didn't know the answer to the other day. The way an electrical signal can carry multiple frequencies of sound is that the signal is the sum of the fourier series of the distinct sounds that hit the microphone.

>>975436 Yeah in season one, before Cooper was shot
ToN
didnt andy also save the hecking day that one time though
ToN
yeah andy's just really rocking his andy-ness its fine i remember sitting in discord with kirara and we'd both go "oh andy..." or "Andy..." all the time
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
>>975434 i dont see how thats different from his usual character though it feels totally in character for him
S C
It's in character for him to have stepped on the plank and hit his head, but the rest of it feels like it's cooper's brain constructing a scenario based on how he sees Andy from his interactions with him A total and utter bumbling moron
ToN
Coop would never think that of Andy...
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
coop unironically thinks that andy is a genius
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
(and he's right)
S C
I still think the show dialed it all up between the seasons, but I'm still gonna finish it It's only 3 seasons
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
and a movie!
ToN
oh yeah the movie thats important
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
but don't watch Fire Walk With Me (the movie) until you finish season 2 or it'll spoil stuff
She won, but that doesn't make her best She won by default, nobody else was competing
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
best girl by fiat
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
she was the best girl mari not only won but by far she was cooler, smarter, sexier, nicer, stronger, and healthier than all the other girls
S C
Many of those are true, yet not good metrics
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
what are good metrics for best girl
S C
That's a tough question I'm not really sure
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
maybe it's a point system +3 for dropping out of the sky
S C
I think it's a highly subjective thing for sure
I never liked Mari at all, really Always seemed too out of place
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
what are you saying it's an entirely personal and subjective criteria too late a team of experts working in secret have released the Intergalactic Best Girl Ranking System (IBGR System)
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
mari is supposed to feel out of place mari represents anno's conquering his depression and finding joy in his life mari is that joy it's a sign that the world is moving forward for him, and for EVA
thats why EVA ends the way it does mari paves the way for shinji to create a world without EVA so that the viewer and anno can move on
S C
Yeah well I didn't like it
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
maybe thats some kind of sign
S C
I dunno, I didn't like her when she first appeared and that's long ago
Kirara 🍄 大医 /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
Yeah, but she represented moving forward and becoming healthy from the very beginning. She immediately stands out in stark contrast to the other characters who are all just drowning in their own bullshit. Mari's the only one who has things figured out from the beginning. She enjoys life but isn't flippant about life, despite everything happening. She's healthy. A lot of people that aren't ready to move on from what the other characters are drowning in tend to dislike Mari because she represents positive change.
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
healthy waifu healthy laifu

wow the eva OST has a song named psycho and the next is called killer
My building's fire alarm has been going off for like half an hour According to my imouto it was just a false alarm, but for some reason they can't/won't turn the alarm off

>>975488 There's better ones, but its not really viable to d search for a long string if you don't have a gpu. I think I used Meriken's I'd design an asic to run on an fpga and do it if I had the know how. Err, don't have a modern (last ten years) gpu.
>>975508 did you need some cleaning done? what's the deal here

>>975545 I saw a dead wombat today they're not uncommon in the winery region I imagine you would write off your car pretty easily hitting one of those I remember I nearly hit one as a thai restaurant driver

how does the gameplay of azur differ from kancolle collection
I believe Azur Lane has some more hand-on elements during the stages, where Kancolle is, at least way back when I was playing, entirely hands-off after your sortie
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
oh okay
/人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
I guess I'll always have the nice pictures
