So I was taking a look at the circuit diagram for that trng and I saw that it runs at like 200V So I'm definitely waiting until I'm at uni and can use nice safe expensive equipment before build it Fucking tube circuits run at high voltage.

yea they're quite impractical the only reason id work with any of that stuff is for nixie tubes
ㅤFormerRei@mobile
I can hardly believe I used to know how vacuum tubes wworked. Although the tube I'd bbe usung for this is a gas filled tube. There are other tubes on the schematic but I can probably replace them with solid state components Unless it turns out that the parts I need to do it in solid state are more expensive than vacuum tubes.

Also I have no fucking idea how to discretize an analogue signal into a digital one. Hell I don't even know what units the noise generated by this circuit are in. I'm assuming voltage but it could also maybe be Hz.
ㅤFormerRei@mobile
Well actually nnow that I think of it I do know how to discretize an analog signal in the general sense. But I barely know anything about electrical signals. Like I know how to transduce a physical phenomenon (sound to microphone to electrical signal) but I don't understand how an electrical signal like a mono one can carry multiple frequencies.

>>975111 WWell yes But I want to understand how it works.
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
idk i assume it uses a transistor or a bank of transistors to sample the voltage, comparing it against a bunch of specific bias voltages or maybe it puts the sample into a capacitor and lets it leak out beats me
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
> The successive approximation register is initialized so that the most significant bit (MSB) is equal to a digital 1. This code is fed into the DAC, which then supplies the analog equivalent of this digital code (Vref/2) into the comparator circuit for comparison with the sampled input voltage. If this analog voltage exceeds Vin, then the comparator causes the SAR to reset this bit; otherwise, the bit is left as 1. Then the next bit is set to 1 and the same test is done, continuing this binary search until every bit in the SAR has been tested. The resulting code is the digital approximation of the sampled input voltage and is finally output by the SAR at the end of the conversion (EOC). looks like there are various methoda a a binary search on each successive binary digit is one way

Living in Twin Peaks is what it feels like to live around me. A weird, surreal, exciting ride. Coop is perfect for Twin Peaks. I think I'd fit in in Twin Peaks too.
Cooper is the only surreal thing so far though The only other non-standard human unit is Audrey, and she's just a spoiled brat who never grew past 12 years old to the point I literally can't tell how old she is, only that she's acting like a fucking child >>975218 I don't know what a fucking percolator is, I just assumed the guy had dropped a fish somewhere it wasn't supposed to be

I'm just worried I'll be bad at it and nobody's gonna have any fun because of it
Most of the time, DMs DMing a certain game for the first time have to learn it along with the players. The rules aren;t the most important part of a game so it's fine as everyone gets their footing.
@Samurai I got answer to that question we didn't know the answer to the other day. The way an electrical signal can carry multiple frequencies of sound is that the signal is the sum of the fourier series of the distinct sounds that hit the microphone.

mari is supposed to feel out of place mari represents anno's conquering his depression and finding joy in his life mari is that joy it's a sign that the world is moving forward for him, and for EVA
thats why EVA ends the way it does mari paves the way for shinji to create a world without EVA so that the viewer and anno can move on
Yeah, but she represented moving forward and becoming healthy from the very beginning. She immediately stands out in stark contrast to the other characters who are all just drowning in their own bullshit. Mari's the only one who has things figured out from the beginning. She enjoys life but isn't flippant about life, despite everything happening. She's healthy. A lot of people that aren't ready to move on from what the other characters are drowning in tend to dislike Mari because she represents positive change.
