>>629822 because they are a "non-essential" government agency
!C0.PerkELE
many of our organisations, legal bodies etc would fucntion even if government wasn't formed here
the whole shutdown thing is a weird concept anyhow
forexample, only way for there not to be a government here and similiar republics, is if prime minister resigns, is ousted or the parliament doesn't approve of a prime minister/cabinet so it isn't formed
as an example that is the situation in sweden rn all the candidates for prime minister or their cabinets have been turned down by the parliament they have been 4 months without a government essentially but the parliament still exists and can technically still pass laws ofc no laws or edicts are made as there isn't a cabinet
Kananananagi
In the UK we don't really have a shutdown, you just keep going in all circumstances. Departments of government are kinda separate from government at the very least we haven't had a situation where the parties have been so opposed to each other that anything of that magnitude would happen
!C0.PerkELE
on 21st the last attempt at forming a cabinet will happen and if that fails, they will hold new elections in april all because of an even split between the right and the left and neither wanting to co-operate with the populist party
!C0.PerkELE
not sure about theactual precents, but basically two voting blocks got around 40% each basically with the populists getting 20% so the biggest parties one in each of the blocks, can't form a government properly, as they lack majority in the parliament
!C0.PerkELE
any health department here would keep going untill they run out of money absically and even then prolly continue in debt

!C0.PerkELE!C0.PerkELE!C0.PerkELE
various iterations also yourstruly posing infront of one

so for clarification, basically tenants just dumb all their trash in the common use bins that then get emptied usually weekly a service sold by waste managing companies private or public bought by the housing company which is then funded by the tenants the housing company handles all such expenses and services, and is more effective than each tenant/house owner paying for them separately

>>630117 also I'm not an expert in making, selling, or using meth or anything but I think the business makes money by having low operational expense all the equipment and ingredients needed to synthesise it are relatively cheap compared to demand and pretty much anybody dumb enough can do it as far as the consumer goes, I've talked to only a handful of addicted and recovering meth users but they generally tend to agree the first few times gave this incredible feeling that sounded like good MDMA to me, with a sense of connection and awareness profound, then afterwards they were using more and more to try and get that old feeling so it kind of guarantees increased business until the user finally realizes that they aren't getting what they wanted again but because it causes such a huge surge in dopamine and inhibits reuptake of dopamine and serotonin, you get a horrible feeling when it wears off after using regularly, so they will sometimes just keep using to avoid having to deal with the withdrawal that robs you of the body's way of rewarding you. In addition, the length of the drugs life in your system is pretty long, and the duration of withdrawal can be weeks to a couple months before your brain recovers mostly. You could also just do permanent damage to your brain with it too, and that's a symptom you can't wait out, haha. In the end I really don't get why people like it. There are better highs to reach out there.
月
yeah it sound scary to me not even the comedown even just the high regular amphetamines thankfully don't have neurotoxicity like meth does
Anno
it definitely doesn't seem like something everyone would like. if you aren't keen on extremely intense stimulation or get irritable and frustrated easily I think it would be pretty miserable after a little bit. also if you prefer to be more sedated than stimulated when being recreational. i prefer being stimulated generally but i don't think meth works right on my brain or something. it just feels like I took an extra Adderall on accident. I guess there's probably a reason why it's still technically a medication prescribable for ADHD, haha.
the comedown isn't the worst, especially compared to MDMA and benzos, in my experience. but I never felt like I was getting anything special from it so I've only done it a couple times. benzo withdrawal is probably the most uncomfortable, but the ecstacy hangover is so bad for me that I don't even consider rolling again for months. no idea how some fellas do it on the weekend every week

I would probably get really bad too if my job was to just do drugs on a serious note, though. i don't really need any encouragement here. >>630168 I've had a few instances where i was smoking with a friend and they got finished so I just smoked the rest, it's usually a pretty strange and disorienting experience i prefer to just do one or two hits every couple hours when relaxing at home which is basically the only place i smoke usually, not a fan of smelling nasty and having glazed eyes so I always wash up and use drops when i can't it's uncomfortable feeling haha

>>630169 That is what I do now taking singular hits. before I was doing a lot. When I got the intense experience I smoked like 5 hits.
Anno
>>630171 that usually gives me a nice level of euphoria, the 5 but i smoke a lot and probably have some innate tolerance from smoking damn near every day for like 6 years i really need to stop doing drugs and try accomplishing something for myself haha
the one time i did get really uncomfortably high was when I was drinking at the bar i used to while the day away in and this other guy asked if i wanted to go hang out in his place, i was like ok and he took me to the shittiest looking motel I've ever seen they were supposedly like pay by the month rooms intended to be similar to small apartments but the amenities were so trash, he didn't even have a stove haha so anyway he asked if i wanted to smoke this blunt he had and i said fuck yeah so we did then i thought i was mooching and offered him the last like half gram of coke i had bought earlier and he was iffy on it and only took like .1g so i vacuumed up the rest then i asked him what he had to drink and he literally burst out laughing and was like, LEMME SHOW YOU HOW WE LIVE UP HERE and told me to look for some change well we finally found like two bucks in quarters and he said we were gonna buy drinks from the goddamn vending machine on the other side of the complex and this whole time I'm just so amazed at how fucked up this guys life is but he still seems to be enjoying himself. we make it to the vending machine and before i can walk up he's telling me to stop, don't move, and shit, and i turn around and he's staring at this stray cat he eventually manages to get it to actually come to him and says that the innmates in this tepid hellshack adopted him and introduces it to me and I'm like fuck dude just let me buy a soda I'm so fucking thirsty the cat runs off after something and he goes after it I'm just standing there alone in some ghetto pay by the month motel high and drunk and feeling like I'm about to pass out so i try to buy a dr pepper but they're out. they only got Pepsi and sierra mist

>>630172 Pepsi and serria mist sound like a disappoint vending machine.

>>630172 so basically at this point I'm not sure how to get back to the room we were at much less the bar or my house so I'm wandering around like a fucking idiot sipping my sierra mist until finally that fucking guy waves me down apparently he forgot that he was with me and when he lost the trail of the cat just walked back to the bar then this woman there was like "hey jerome, what happened to [jan] weren't y'all together" and he went oh fuck and ran back haha
so we walked back to the bar and played drunk billiards and hung around two hours after bars legally close with the owner there i bought everybody a final round of beer and we drained the bottles and went our separate ways i went to the conbini and bought some smokes and threw up on the side of their building and stumbled home where my family yelled at me for being gone for 8 hours and not answering calls haha happy ending

Kananananagi
I've heard it depends on how long previously you've been smoking. I hadn't smoked weed much prior.
Anxiety attacks for me happened because I wasn't used to my heart beating so hard and it would make it hard to calm down. after getting used to it and trying not to think in shitty ways It doesn't affect me as much.
>>630185 sierra mist is pretty good i like it tastes like 7up but a little less sickeningly sweet used to buy a can of store brand knockoff every day when i worked at the grocery store stocking stuff, the off brand lemon lime tastes better than off brand cola imo >>630196 would make sense to me. there's probably a gradual buildup that doesn't decline linearly. wish it worked faster to lose tolerance though i could save money like that, same way with alcohol
yeah it does make your heart rate spike pretty violently right after smoking seems like it goes back down to just above normal after five to ten though. but when you're high it's easy to tell when it's beating super fast and hyper focus on that and it feels like it's beating really
do you ever wonder why there are so many ugly people why have so many people allowed themselves to become ugly? 99% of people are not naturally ugly but have become ugly by not // by all kinds of things like bad hygiene mostly

walking a few miles to and from work was nice i miss that routine gave me time to contemplate and enjoy the fresh air and wake up before getting to work
sometimes when i do actually get nervous or stressed out I'll feel like I'm not breathing enough and start hyperventilating trying to breathe more happens more often ok //on my meds but usually i just gotta stop and force myself to think about something else and let my subconscious take over breathing again.

Anno
>>630215 i still walk everywhere but it's just too work or the store or the bar usually none of which are very long or exciting journeys i used to like taking my day off to walk to different cities and stuff near me, just walking in a vague direction checking random things out for ten or twelve hours not sure when or why i stopped that activity it was a nice way to stay active
I've never ridden a real train before, just a couple Intercity rails that shuttle back and forth i wanna ride a passenger train with the private room and stuff it looks so romantic
the nice thing when it comes to uphill walking is that it's way easier to go back home when the days done and you're worn out the slight grade en route to my house was a blessing some mornings
Kananananagi
I don't go out much except work and shops. If I do walk instead of bus it would give me a long journey which is a nice idea but I often wake up late and rush to the bus. but the cold really makes me not want to go out much.

Anno
>>630412 man just don't say dicks to this micromanaging and we can just watch what's aired today unless someone had a request
or use Google spreadsheet to make it more modular and easily manageable of a task
Anno
I'm no good at not micromanaging where the opportuntiy arises. It's not exactly compulsive but it comes pretty damn close. I can't resist the urge to make sure things are kept orderly. Also it kind of falls apart with days like yesterday where stuff like JoJo and Index airs, which are popular shows. And the shows we do like but just get built up because we keep missing days, or can't fit them into a watch list earlier in the week.
I don't have a hard time keeping care of the list since I just write up what's in my torrent program since I don't remove stuff from it unless I've watched it. But I don't like seeing such a large list because, well, it's large. Seeing all the stuff in one pile makes my brain think about the amount of time/work needed to get through it all and also reminds me that new things are going to be coming in as we're working through what's already there and it just feels kind of overwhelming. Especially since it's fundamentally easy to not fall behind.
It would be nice to not have a list because generally, we don't watch enough in a season to actually fill up four shows a day, seven days a week. So if there wasn't anything backlogged, it would be easier to not feel like we need to be quick with starting and moving onto the next show, and it wouldn't be so often that it runs late or that there's a strong need to start on time. And I get I'm the only one that really gets worked up about it like this but I can't not do this, I don't know how to just let it go or not be frustrated or antsy about it. The optimal situation just seems so straightforward and accomplishable to me that it's difficult for me to see how other situations are better. The fact that other people have differing values on it is something I can understand, which is why I don't pressure more to get things done "my way" but man it just leaves me frustrated some times and it bubbles up like this.
Anno
>>630415 i mean it does kind of bother me that stuff piles up and i don't have any idea what the fuck is on the agenda anymore since it doesn't even seem to have to do with air date most of the time but anime is like TV, or something, to me. I don't really care if i miss an episode or a part of one that much. unless i'm like really obsessed with it for some reason like bongo stray dogs or 91days etc. i usually just download whatever y'all decide to watch for the night since i have speedy net
i'd end up forgetting what i have or don't have and shit if i just downloaded it all and deleted it when you guys watched it since i miss too many days
maybe you could make a schedule allowing for 1-2 days with a wildcard slot intended to be used to pick up any slack from previous days? i'm not too sure on it honestly other than just starting the shows and streaming that shit until it's done and saying tough shit to missing bits. i'm pretty sure ika doesn't even catch like 50% of what's going on anyways haha
i probably wouldn't pressure them to get things done efficiently if i were you either considering it just leads to rika ignoring your argument then pretending she doesn't know what you're mad about and simultaneously saying she really wants other people's input this is getting a little offensive towards currently afk parties though so i'm going to nip this train of thought
Anno
this game is fUCKING cool
Anno
Yeah, it's really pretty-looking. I want to get it at some point down the line.
Anno
it's a very immersive game considering it's a 2d platformer and you can barely even see your character half the time actually easier to keep track of in motion than i expected though, blue was true and i like how there's no dialogue and minimal scripted events outside of the major stuff it reminds me a lot of journey, that game is also incredible imo
Anno
i wish the clock above my post wasn't constantly reminding me the fun will be over soon though
Anno
It's getting pretty late for me too yeah. I should be going to sleep but I've been waking up way late recently and it makes it hard to want to go to bed.

what if we took a recording of every single person to play a game and created a program to link the two video clips segmenting at every point where a frame overlaps between any of the recordings and played the resulting program on loop to create an infinte amount of playthrough video do you think they would consider it art
whoakun
i consider it art mostly cause i dont really understand what youre trying to say
Anno
imagine if you will two people are playing the same game at one point during their playthroughs, they both step onto the same location and align the camera in the same manner the video would then switch from the original source (player A) to the synced source (player B) then until they step on the same location, you are viewing player B's gameplay. when they do intersect in terms of visual scene again, it would switch to player A's gameplay for the next segment of video. except there are more than two players, there are like a thousand playthroughs stored, and the program is checking each video stream against the others to determine when to SHIFT.
does that clarify anything? the game in question is metaphorical

>>630429 yeah i get it now i just dunno how often people will be intersecting outside of cutscenes cells within cells interlinked
the art will come in when it turns into one really bad player who got chosen and fell behind everyone
Anno
>>630433 yeah, that's the biggest problem aside from computational load for such an undertaking, it would grow exponentially by the number of stored playthrough video
i think the only feasible way to achieve this would be to store the positional data in an array or other small structure by frame as in TF2 replays, Overwatch play of the game, etc, and have the recording of such playthrough positional data and variables a background process of the game
doing it to merely video streams would require you to account for a certain amount of distortion between video streams in the case of lossy formats (pretty big) or store the video in lossless format and a lossless mp4 of 2 hours with fraps is like 90 fucking gigs
Anno
>>630429 maybe limit the game in question to be a platformer or a more linear kind of game
whoakun
then whoever is the slowest player gets killed then it goes to the faster players stream again
Anno
>>630435 that would make it a bit easier to implement especially with storing positional data
i think yuo could probably achieve it with a 3D game as well but you'd have to use trig (not unusual for 3d) to determine a radius of camera angle when in the same position to consider "synced" then interpolate the camera movement between those two synced positions as you swap to the target replay sounds like t would be really hard to get working and looking good too hard for my peanut brain

when you do will you let me put my gamesrart spy program in to record all your players replays
Koi
I dont think it'll work as well as it sounds. I cant remeber why i hought that hough
Anno
there's a lot of problems here variables to account for such as game progression state or equipment if any and all sorts of other shit
making it actually work is probably a shitload harder than it was for me to describe it but i think it could work would it be worth the effort though
Anno
what about a gamee where you make friends with birds
Koi
Take a look at the Super Mario World Custom edit videos where they overlay every attempt over each other. Or play a really hard super meat boy stage. That records multiple runs including failures.
Anno
yeah the idea // well, the presumption is that by process of elimination over enough recorded failures and successes the failures will eventually sync to the winner
there's got to be an elegant solution for guaranteeing that it would happen quickly enough but i'm not sure how maybe you could cheat a bit and just snap two replays that get close enough together if the target replay ends up dying later in the stage or succeeding
it would be easier to do in a game that isn't so much of a reflex challenge as your standard platformer or a tough game of any kind though
if it was some casual kirby game it wouldn't matter
another difficult problem is that you're collecting metrics all about all aspect of gameplay from the client and that's a dangerous topic to get brought up you'd have to have a disclaimer and opt in function at least haha
Koi
It's going to be hard with anything thats got animated sprites But the curious thing is 'what would make this interesting to see' In the case of the smw videos, its like watching a flower bloom seeing side by side timelines unfold with failures and death as you follow the single successful path on its way to victory. Kinda like buddy complex but more visually present timeline hacking
Anno
>>630473 i guess you'd have to just consider them synced based on location usually but how to fluidly transition between random distinct animations and frames therein 🤔 swear to god i just heard the windows xp uninteractable frame error alert in the GRIS ost

>>630473 moon had a pretty cool idea in giving people the option to select if they want to change path or what path to change to
i frankly would just like to see it and i really can't think of a lot of ways it would be useful other than to look at
Koi
Well its not really about being useful but being pleasant to watch. All you need to do is look at it but what will keep you looking at it? Would swapping from person to person really make much of a visually pleasant experience if it ends up looking no different than one person playing the level straight?
Anno
maybe you could make it one of those indie pixel metroidvanias those usually have lots of places people cross over even in the same playthrough intersecting themself have the adjacent replays play around the character in the "lotus flower" style would be visually interesting but maybe a bit chaotic
Koi
Thats why i recommended super meat boy. You can play a stage with your ghost playthroughs going at the same time.
Anno
>>630476 there'd have to be some level of freedom of movement to really make it interesting just on different player perspectives alone, yeah. Otherwise there'd be difficulty recognizing when it does shift, probably.
