I really want to see some gameplay footage in the next Direct, whenevr that is I want to know what the ost is gonna sound like too. I hope they're keeping the same guy from IV and IVA
Kirara 🚗
yeah they said it was in full development last year or something there must be something they can show us
>>541352 I'm hoping that they're just holding their cards close to their chest and don't want to spoil it all Right now we don't even know if the alignment system is in Tbh I hope there's some alternative paths instead of just law-chaos-neutral endings
>>541353 Did you see the new Tonegawa? It was really good
sk
Yeah Tonegawa is a lot of fun
Maria
He accepted that blacksuits proposal so gracefully I wouldn't mind seeing some sort of altuniverse ova where Kaiji plays human mahjong instead of restricted rps, that idea sounded like fun.
>>541357 Absolutely but you can tell he still hated it Really what Tonegawa should have done was starting the meeting off asking if anyone had come up with any ideas. That way if he finds that someone else has something better than his, it won't look like his own idea got overshadowed since he wouldn't have brought it up in the first place I never knew that middlemanagement had so much strategy going on
>>541359 that's also true. However he had his mahjong idea as a backup anyway. So if no one had anything he could have just fallen back on that, and come out looking like the good guy
Well really, that is the best strategy for him in that situation Sure, it isn't his idea, but accepting his subordinates' proposals when they're clearly good is important for making the rest of them feel comfortable proposing things again after the big blunder
sk
Yeah it wasn't his plan But Tonegawa clearly knows his priorities
I think if he had started off asking for ideas, his worry might have been that the MIB would feel like it'd be a repeat of the first meeting But it might have been the best plan, looking at it in hindsight
sk
That's true It'd likely have been a lot smarter to first see if anyone else had a proposal Especially considering the scale of Human Mahjong
The Teiai group has a lot of debtors, sure, but that's a lot of people to manage at once
Maria
that bit at the start where he shittalks overtime is so good
>>541362 That's exactly what he's shittalking They stay back even when it's inefficient and there's nothing to be done Tonegawa is aware of this but he allows it to go on because that's just how the culture works So many things happen in this show for the sake of preserving social cohesion at the cost of actually getting shit done
I thought that was so strange, cause isn't Japanese culture like, you overwork yourself always just so you don't seem like a slacker? Then again, maybe Teiai has a different office culture than the rest of Japan
I really need to start clearing up some space on my harddrives I've been scraping by at like 20gigabytes free for months ...a lot of it is probably anime
I'll probably just get another harddrive once I have money, but I also need a new computer altogether so I kinda wanna wait until I have the funds for that
Kirara 🚗

Humanity is really my only concern No humanity is the failure state of any politics, to me
Kirara 🚗
i love humanity and want it to survive, but the only way to save it may be to eradicate it in order to stop global warming which is going to not just eradicate humanity, but all life
Maria
>coming this summer >in order to save humanity... >we're going to destroy it
>>541396 no that sounds ugly I'd rather have a planet with potential for new life to spring forth again later
There is something romantic to dragging the whole planet with us though, isn't there?
Kirara 🚗
not imo
Kirara 🚗
destroying the world leaves no chance for sentient life to survive we need to save the world even if it means reversing human history back to the beginning maybe we won't get fucked over by the west or whatever replaces the west the next time
Well, no matter what happense, it's not gonna be ideal I don't even see a real way for us to be eradicated without also destroying the planet, anyway, so it's more of a hypothetical than anything
Kirara 🚗
ideal is a spook
>>541399 short-term destruction of environments would most likely be necessary in order to prevent the permanent destruction of them a virus would also work or a supervolcano eruption supervolcano would honestly be the best
>>541412 I'm really starting to think it isn't a matter of having enough time As the movement for a mass uprising grows, so does reaction And at least in the first world, that's been what ends up taking control
Kirara 🚗
if we destroyed the west, it wouldn't have to be like that the problem is the culture the culture is reactionary and authoritarian
anyway, i think people are close to waking up and if they do it fast enough, we can stop global warming global warming really has to be our primary concern for now revolution that doesn't address it is worthless
>>541429 Any revolution worthwhile will necessarily address it, anyway Nobody wants the planet to die Those making the decisions just don't particularly care
sk
Or rather, even their hands are to some extent tied As long as the option remains to destroy this rock for profit, someone will So choosing not to is just making yourself incapable of surviving

lots of people aren't willing to make the sacrifices it may take to get it under control

We only have so long on this planet, and living it all in a fully environmentally conscious manner would be excruciating when you also have all of the rest of society to deal with all the time It's just too much
Kirara 🚗
reducing our use of energy and stuff will do a lot of good need to eliminate bitcoin completely and all crypto currency a lot of them will probably have to die bc they won't give it up rolling blackouts may be necessary across the world less water usage less production fewer cars and trucks people can't imagine going without a computer for a few hours so a lot of this will be very difficult for them
sk
Oh yeah, eliminating bitcoin is kind of a nobrainer I mean no revolution worth a damn will leave space for bitcoin to even mean anything, anyway

Kirara 🚗
specifically an "esports" game
Anno
I could see an offshoot type being tailored for competitive play. And being someone that tunes into a three-hour DnD show each week, it definitely has potential to be an entertaining experience for viewers. You'd need a good DM for action description though.
Kirara 🚗
I don't see how it could be competitive, really those games are incredibly cooperative by their nature
TWO TEAMS OF ADVENTURERS SET FORTH THE STAKES? A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARIDOOS THE GOAL? BE THE FIRST TO DEFEAT THE BOSS Turns being the deciding factor
Anno
Yeah, the simplest solution is a team-based structure. I've seen battle royales of DnD characters before though. I think a module like that would be need to tweak class perks and how certain spells and abilities work though. In the battle royales I've seen, a few of the classes have definite advantages against most of the others.

BATTLE ROYALE D&D
Anno
>>541488 Because it's a chance to develop something that might pertain to a niche crowd of interest at the least, and in the best outcome develop into something that's a unique take on something that people are already somewhat familiar with, allowing for ease of access while still providing a fresh source of entertainment.
>>541491 and I guess if they still just do a board game, the risk isn't that large
Anno
>>541494 Pretty much. Not to mention DnD already has a variety of modules and allows for something of a competitive play to begin with. They'd need to draw some hard rules if it's going to be an "official" competitive play, but I don't think it's impossible.
but in terms of doing it as a competitive game, I think they should somehow optimise it to become a lot shorter doesn' t usual dnd sessions and such take ages to finish?
>>541493 There could be a counter without problems I don't really see how you could do it any other way
Anno
>>541496 What I'm imagining right off the bat here is that the competition is a battle between either a mass group or teams. Which, while yes, could be very drawn out, can also be set to be less time-consuming than a full campaign session.
Kirara 🚗
it'd also encourage minmaxing which is stupid and annoying
sk
>>541499 It's supposed to be an esport though minmaxing is kinda the point
>>541506 Well the basic esport audience isn't interest in the sort and dragging up the people who are to become paying customers is a monumental effort
Anno
>>541505 Not everyone who plays DnD plays it for the full roleplay experience. There are some who get really into it for the capacity to play the classes and pull off the skills and abilities of the characters. Some players really just want to get straight into a dungeon or a brawl with some monsters and roll initiative.
Why o why is it a product only available for a single month in the year

Yeah, I've been seeing talk about that today and yesterday. Hearing new developments about what they're finding on Mars is always exciting.
Today has not been my luck with bread. First this morning one half of my bagel slipped and landed face-down on the kitchen floor after I'd spread cream cheese on it. And now I trashed three hamburger buns because I incorrectly assumed they'd heat up on the grill in the same way a different type of bun did the last time I did so. Food can be so stressful to make some times.

Nah I was just trying to make three separate ones.

oh i see three whole buns not three bun pieces damn that sucks
FormerRei@mobile
Three sides hamburger sounds like a good idea. *sided
Anno
Though since I really only burnt to a crisp the bottoms of the three buns, I could have technically made a whole bun with two of the halves that had been heated up fine. Of course I only realized this after the frustration had dwindled off a bit and the three buns were already been chucked in the food waste bin.

Like as lame as it sounds, being into ramen and Japanese dishes is hard when you're a picky eater, and can't be an early-teens weeb without that. Also when I signed up for the high school trip I did to Japan I didn't want to be "that guy" who went to a different country and only ate at McDonald's or whatnot. So I figured I needed to be less of a picky eater before that too.
And once you start trying new kinds of cuisines it's pretty easy to slide into trying out other new kinds. Slippery slopes aren't always a bad thing.

Yeah, I can imagine it's difficult. I'm lucky to live somewhere with really good bike integration in the streets, but even then, a bike limits you to what you can stuff in one or two bags and is n't as generous as a motor vehicle. Hmm started thinking about it, but the operation in the finale of Youjo Senki is just impossible in terms of sheer movement speed noway they could move that many troops to encricle the "french" in so shor time, that they couldn't form up any new line of communication and command, especially whole "they encircled them before they noticed their HQ was gone" though maybe the anime just portrays it badly, as it has no dates and timelines attached

Okay yeah that's hail out there. A storm's DEFINATELY blowing in.
but I think those are quite finnish national identities or ideologies we work to make our country better we strive to build and maintain our just society and we generally like our country and our people

i mean, i'd probably wouldn't be an internationalist if i lived in a cool country. experiences shape people and stuff.
I just find this whole internationalism+socialism combo weird generally you have globalism walking hand it hand with the extreme capitalists

it throws you on internationalism if you oppose the existence of a state for some reason im not really a globalist im all about that local shit and possibly federations to ease resource movement

But just then also realise the risks it involves. If you decide to live in some no-society region, and then get fucked over, know that the borders of the society part of the world, might not be open
Anno
Catalonian independentists are both some patriotic "center right" ones and some left ones who just want to be away from the fascist spain.
>>541949 I think the sheer historical fact that state always oppresses some more than others, even if the state is optimised to the utmost to not do that, is clear evidence that multiculturalism, especially a country with cultures clearly living in their own bubbles, not interacting - except violently - with eachother, will always lead to either civil war, unrest or seccession
Anno
it's very clear on nicaraguan case for example they just crush any opposition. violence against their people is the state's original sin.
Soviet union, yugoslavia, austrian empire - later austro-hungarian empire, ottoman empire so on and so forth all broke up into ethnostates of some sort, though the latter was divided into colonial states

Same thing happened in Europe in many countries 80 years ago >>541984 the point is that if it is well founded enough, it can survive those attempts and then learn from them an build more to counter them in future of course this will bloat up the bureaucracy and administration, but it is in the end the price to pay
Anno
it's really easy to corrupt the constitution. which as you said, is like, legalism.

>>542000 >someone It was Mueller. you know, the guy running the FBI investigation
Kirara 🚗
yeah haha id like to see alex and mueller fight though
月
can't say im sad to see facebook stock drop hope a lot of jerks lost a lot of money
Kirara 🚗

the automated system with my work is jankin me around yesterday it sent me stuff and i took it and it turned out that it decided also to send it to someone else 10 minutes later and removed it from my queue and today it sent me stuff with the wrong deadline but sent everyone else the right deadline it's automated so that's pretty weird
i think it's a combination of factors i just happened to hit my head at an unlucky angle with a somewhat large amount of force (caused a laceration)
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
wonder if some people have more resistanse *resistance to it?
月
i fell down pretty hard on a ladder a couple months ago like landed on a ladder that was angled down it cut my forehead up a bit i think i was fine because it was from the front and not the back, but idk for sure i seem fine to me
Kirara 🚗
>>542019 yeah people with ADHD like me are less resistant to them generally
I mean I once as a kid got dropped down from 2 something metre,s fell back of head directly onto a wooden blank and blacked out for a moment but was 100% fine despite
what you are saying is pretty much saying "the guy fell flat on 100 degree celcius ice"
Kirara 🚗
??? no it's superheated water
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
water doesn't superheat unless it is under pressurised conditions and if you can fall in it, it not being a geyser of sorts, it just doesn't seem it is just water, but rather some compund
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
or solution in this case I guess
Kirara 🚗
well, yellowstone has pools of superheated water, so
yeah but that is the thing we don't say call coffee water
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
also brine is imba move in pkmn
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
is weird these are stronger than my normal glasses, and aside from correcting the whatever term you anglish use for one eye having weaker sight than the other I still feel my eyes are getting fucked over for using these I guess inferior material and whatnot
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
the 0,5s with the strings were less taxing on my eyes, but >wearing glasses without the hinges yeah
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
guh constantly weakening eyesight is cancer why isn't masterrace blue-eyes 20/20 forever
>>542053 and yet the rate of vision correction usage increased substantially since the dawn of the personal computer and has been linked to heavy computer usage
Maria
I feel like my eyes have gotten worse since I started wearing glasses
>>542055 now is it because people can afford tog et it, get their eyes checked and so on or people actually having weaker eyesight overall is a matter for debate but not between us two who know little beyond google about this
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
But yeah, I can definitely guess that people who would normally need glasses at say 35 need them now at 25
Kirara 🚗
75% of the US use vision correction or something somewhere between 50-75%
>>542060 the "age sight" props it up when doing all age scan, but still it is true that modern, especially unoptimised monitors of past and well current age, and so on have made it more taxing for our sight organs but for me it is simply genetical faith
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
blue eyes are destined tog et weaker quicker and I come from 4 branches of bad eyesight
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
but anyhow I think these 2,50€ 100% plastic glasses will become my new trip glasses don't have to worry about them getting lost since they cost less than busfare
>>542076 anyhow is what I have heard and read and never seen something that outright debunks it unlike say the "blonds will go extinct" and such stuff that you sometimes hear
charlottesville is bringing in state troopers and restricting vehicle traffic for august 11-12 and encouraging people to be on the look out for bombs out of fear of nazis
>>542092 there will be riots it's the anniversary of a nazi murdering a protester last year they're having an anniversary rally which means it'll be bigger and more dangerous than last year
>>542093 yeah, only three people died last time heather heyer who was murdered, and two cops who crashed their helicopter
>>542099 I mean in general, in socme groups and such, where you can find out, say the Alt-Right the big bad boogeyman of modern times is what 50-100k strong GLOBALLY that is damn tiny
So I don't really see there being some grassroots nazism or anything
Kirara 🚗
>>542102 would be pretty fucking badass if protestors took down a chopper
i will probably not fight if i go, since i'll probably be recovering from my concussion i might do first aid i'm probably less likely to get shot if i'm in the backlines doing first aid, too
>>542118 >>542117 you can just anyhow go on any socme site and see "alt-right" and so on and see how many people generally pop up and if you say "but that doesn't count every discord group and so on" I'll say to you, do you really think there is some 10 million stronk discord group out there?
Kirara 🚗
i think 100k is probably a gross underestimate
FormerRei@mobile
>>542121 Only if we include people who pretend to be nazis for shits and giggles.
Kirara 🚗
if we only include alt-right, 100k may be accurate, but if we're talking about white supremacists, then def more than 100k across the world
Maria
>>542111 >>542115 You don't need to necessarily prove it, but if you're making an estimate and someone asks you how you know something you should say it's an estimate because that's what it is
i mean KKK is one single group and reportedly has 10-12k members three percenters are apparently like 3000-4000 strong although they claim to have like 6-7k proud boys claims like 2000 but they probably have around 500 idk 100k just seems like an underestimate to me considering we easily have 50k in the US alone
月
my card is being declined for superspeciosa sucks they had a deal going on
Kirara 🚗
why declined?
月
no clue there's money in there i'm assuming paypal doesn't allow it it's a paypal debit i don't have a banking account to e-check i've got a feeling it's blacklisted by paypal
Kirara 🚗
oh yeah, probably they're blacklisting all the kratom dealers that's why breezy trees calls their stuff tea
月
idk i guess i'm fucked i couldn't really make a comfortable purchase from breezy trees because i didn't know what i was getting like, i know i don't want red borneo, and if i do a green it has to be maeng da
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
>>542126 the alt-right is quite US based movement, though
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
just like anti-fa
Kirara 🚗
antifa is easily worldwide
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
we have blackbloc anarchists here but no antifa and same applies for most european countreies
Kirara 🚗
antifa is just the generic name for blackbloc anarchists blackbloc anarchists are all considered antifa among anarchists >>542137 no, i literally read articles written by blackbloc anarchists in other countries that have been protesting g7 and shit like that >>542138 but it's all the same in the end they're all antifa
>>542131 what do you mean you don't know what you're getting
>>542136 the blackblocs here have way different reasons to blackbloc then your lot over in USA
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
only fascism in finland is practically EU
月
>>542136 i mean, from what i looked at it would just say red+green or red+white or red or green or white etc i had no idea what strain was what or if they even had general strains or just even-spread blends there are some that give me a really bad histamine response so i don't want those
Also I know it is a serious issue in the USA but white supremacy is just weird thing to me
like I wouldn't go all "white supremacy" if I was starting to becoem a nazi I'd kill the swedes and blame the sami and then wipeout the russians and poles and latvians and lithuanians and claim all those lands for the finno-ugric
"unified white race!" like hell there is europeans hate other europeans more than anything else
>>542144 is not even that it is 2000 years of history
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
but yeah, of course any other minority than just the main ethnicities of those nations would most likely get wiped out too but then again finns alone are like 5 ethnicities in terms of genetics almost
>>542151 No I haven't started it up yet I hate tutorials >>542150 hi >>542151 I swear every mobage starts with a huge ongoing tutorial instead of just letting me figure stuff out on my own I already played an smt game I know what fusion is At least I remember Persona 5 let me skip all that
Kirara 🚗
yeah the tutorial is really long i hate that shit
Kirara 🚗
it's easier to talk demons into joining you right now as part of the startup event

Oh good I really like the design of that one girl with the sailor uniform and the long skirt Yeah That outfit plus delinquint attitude is classic

The hotel has free laundry but charges for soap. Which I'm okay with. My shoes in the dryer are pretty loud though.
