well since /moe/ is fucking dead i guess it doesn't matter

This is kind of dead-time /moe/. Erryone sleeps at normal times now.
Anno
I haven't slept normal hours in a while
Anno
real neet hours who teh fukc up >>476569 i sleep at like 7AM and wake up at 1-5PM
on my days off sometimes as late as like 8PM
waking up in the morning a shit

real aussie hours
Anno
I haven't been sleeping normal hours much lately either. Sleeping consistently is a struggle.
Nezi !Neziwi/5.M
I was going to sleep but then I drank coffee and now I'm up way too late. Don't do drugs kids
Anno
>>476570 what are normal hours anyway like 10pm to 6 or something?
Anno
I would go as far as 03:00-09:00. After that you're either paying in being too late or too little sleep.
Anno
errr I guess actually yeah that's probably better for me
Anno
>>476576 I don't really feel like there's any downside to waking up in the evening, honestly!
Anno
I don't really feel there's an issue with it either. But other people around me do, and if I want to eliminate stresses, a compromise is nice. Not being able to sleep at times that have me waking up in the afternoon or later, but being able to stay up to fairly late in the night, is a nice one.
My ability to actually do that though has been slipping. Sleep is hard.
Maria
Sometimes it feels nice getting up earlier Even if I don't truly gain extra hours, it feels as though I've gained extra hours
Anno
I think maybe sleeping this way forever made my brain broke or something I have plenty of energy at night!
Anno
A year and a half or so ago, I had to wake up at 5AM one day out of the week and I hated it so much. It was nice to have time to go to the shops and stuff and it was convenient for the schedule of ToN's 13th age campaign but that was all the benefit I felt. Usually when I go on a trip I'm the last person to wake up too. Waking up before noon S U C K S
Anno
I can't remember the last exact time I had a restful sleep, and woke up not wanting to just lay in bed for another two hours or so. It was maybe three months or so back, but my idea of it is so vague. And certainly has not happened since then.
Anno
>>476582 I 'm rarely the last person up on trips, not because of any particular sleeping schedule. It's just hard for me to sleep heavily in unfamiliar places.
There isn't really any set schedule to when I sleep, unless I force it. I just sleep when I'm tired.
Anno
>>476583 That's a pretty long time to go without restful sleep. I usually sleep well at least a few times a week. Typically if I don't get good sleep it's because I stayed up too late playing mobage. Or my AC broke
Anno
>>476584 Hotel beds that are clean and fairly well maintained are usually more comfortable than my actual bed so no complaints here. I've only ever had one hotel bed that was almost too uncomfortable to sleep in but it was still better than sleeping on the cold hard ground. and last time I went camping I literally slept on the cold hard ground. While it was raining, because I didn't have a sleeping bag. Feeling the rain rush underneath the tent was a cool sensation but it was a little cold and uncomfortable.
Nezi !Neziwi/5.M
sleeping on ground > sleeping in a chair
Anno
>>476586 When I'm in hotels I'm usually on the couch if not the floor! Couches can be super comfy to sleep on though, as long as I have some kind of blanket. Even floors aren't so bad with a blanket, but it's definitely less comfy. >>476589 Hah hah hah. I'm pretty used to couches. When I'm up at my family's cottage my options are pretty limited between sleeping in the room as my sister(s), climbing up a super steep ladder to get to a bunk, or a couch. I don't like sleeping in the close proximity of my sisters' bedroom and the ladder isn't something I really want to do when I'm tired enough to sleep, so I end up on a couch. There was one summer I spent pretty much every sleep on a cramped couch with sratchy, stiff fabric. After that, all those hotel couches we've hit up have felt amazing.
Anno
>>476588 Oh I forgot! I always have the bed because all of my friends are pushovers about it! hue hue
Anno
>>476588 >Bunk bed Bunk beds feel weird! Not as weird as a waterbed but still up there in terms of weirdness. I'd probably take the couch in that situation too. Before we cleaned the room I use as my bedroom up I slept on the couch for a few years. It was difficult when people were awake while I was trying to sleep.
Anno
I grew up on a bunkbed, so I guess they're less weird to me. But these bunks are higher up than your standard bunkbed and they're kind of right up against the slope of the roof. And as you're laying there falling asleep you can hear the scritching of some insect or animal in the roof. They're also out in a detached bunkie from the actual cottage, which isn't a very comfortable place to be in if you're not sleeping, so I'd be spending most of my time in the main building anyway. And I'm not really inclined to head out fromt -from the cottag e at like 02:00 or 03:00 in the morning, especially if it's been snowing or raining.
Anno
Every time I sleep on one I get paranoid that I'm falling!
Anno
Climbing a ladder to get up to one can get me a bit like that. I'm fine laying in one though.
Anno
it's one of those antihistamine headache kind of days
Anno
I woke up with a headache yesterday. It's really annoying having to function while your brain's beating against the inside of your skull.
Anno
sometimes I get this head throb where everything feels excessively loud even my own thoughts feel like they're screaming at me
Anno
I don't think I've ever had one like that. For me it's just hard to function because I can't keep my thoughts straight without my conscience derailing into how much the headache hurts.
Anno
>>476594 antihistamine headache? >>476596 when I was sick with the flu I had that kind of headache everything else felt hyper sensitive too though
usually the worst i get is a mild grating pressure on my eyeballs
Anno
>>476597 that is just my silly way of saying I was caught off guard by my sinuses and spent a good bit of the day a sneezing, sniffing mess and now as a result I have a headache coming on sometimes if I get a antihistamine early enough I can catch it but it doesn't help when I'm running low on them
Anno
I don't think I ever noticed how bad my sinuses got until I first started working as an apprentice painter
Anno
my sinuses have been really sensitive ever since i snorted five grams of cocaine
Anno
I sniffed a pill or maybe two a week ago so that probably didn't help also I've smoking a bit more than usual and that gets me paranoid
Anno
Oh hey I keep hearing about that God of War game maybe when the price goes down and I have some more money I'll buy it
Anno
I've heard Dad of War has had some extremely good reviews. Good on the devs for that. I'll definitely consider it if I ever end up with a PS4.
Anno
I'll probably buy it when it goes on sale and never play it
Anno
Sounds accurate.
Anno
gues they won't be including the sex minigame in this one
Anno
but it's nice to see they've progessed with things I can't actully remember much of the story though, something about his daughter

Singlehandedly making sure that I walk away with 2 Sacred Coins instead of 1 is an influential stand. It would have just been better if I got 5+ coins or more.
Kannagi
I am too lazy with FEH, I haven't properly played the grand battles. I do have 50 sacred coins but that probably isn't a lot, I haven't used them before, I think they are used for leveling something.

Ko-Shi
I'm sure she has more than 28 units And if they aren't that strong, just make your first team not that strong. Really she doesn't need to get to the end, just enough to get onto the board. Come out with 7-9 extra coins. I aim for 15-17 coins in AA and it's an absolute nightmare.

i plan to marathon hina i hope i can do it. marathoning yurucamp and sorayori probably increased its greatness exponentially.

i'm reading this client record and it says the client stopped drinking 4 years ago when she found out her son was gay because she thought God was punishing her for her drinking by turning her son gay
it's weird how many people are so self-absorbed that they think God is going to make other people do things to them or do things in general to punish them it kind of conflicts with the notion of free will in Christianity and the New Testament, does God make people do things? in the Old Testament, he just kind of makes people more stubborn sometimes at most
As for the question hmm only direct interference from god aside jesus doing things was with Paul when Jesus came to him "paul y u such a dick, chill out man"
Kirara 🚗
that's kind of what i figured

i feel like giving a physical affliction is in-line with God's methods
But if we assume being gay is a sin, it seems weird that God would force someone into a life of sin to punsih someone else It doesn't make sense

Kirara 🚗
>>476824 right? it's so weird if we assume God is making choices for everyone like that, then God has to be arranging so many things at once Which would mean it can't be self-centered like that because He's going to be taking into account every aspect of everything, far beyond what we can imagine
Nezi !Neziwi/5.M
nah when you find out your son is gay, you're supposed to INCREASE the drinking if you're not okay with it, what a dumb bitch she can't even be a bad mother correctly

TN !PcAPtAiNJo
>>477021 just means mats has a way with people maybe, fuck if I know never been to psychs, he isn't as formal as they are usually?
Kirara 🚗
Yeah, I'm very informal with my clients. I try to make sure there isn't a big difference in the power differential between us because I think therapy should be client-oriented and that means the client should have a lot of power in the relationship. I try to treat clients in a really friendly way, and I'm willing to talk about things they like to talk about to build rapport.
sk
Maybe I'm just the odd one out
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
You gotta look people in the eye to make them talk to you afterall and open to you if you grovel or look down your nose, fat chance
sk
I deal very poorly with being judged, and that's like, literally what the psych's there for so
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
>>477026 this is what I imagine it is like to be at psych even if the psych isn't doing it consciously
Kirara 🚗
I make an effort to show that I'm accepting pretty much anything my client does or tells me.
Not all of my clients are incredibly open with me to start off. Right now, I have four clients. One of them views me as something of a role-model because I'm technically a successful person with ADHD and have experienced some of the difficulties he has experienced. One of them is autistic and doesn't really identify with other people or understand their intentions, and he's open with me because he doesn't have the sense to hide things most of the time. One of my clients is a lady with PTSD and she's pretty open with me about emotions and her interpersonal relations, but she's been reluctant to describe the traumatic event which I believe is related to a sexual incident during her childhood. Considering I've only seen her twice, I think that's reasonable. The last client is the Asperger's kid, and I'm still working on getting him to feel open with me. Last session, I found out he really loves star wars, ship designs, and the Pacific War in WWII, so we were talking about different Star Wars ship designs we like and stuff.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
You can't be friends with a client, I bet, but you can't just look down on them all "I am going to heal you" that is for medical doctors for doctors of the mind it is different
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
so from fish to crabpatties how did they get in the department of mysteries well the whole government thing all british public offices close at like 16 and i bet the magic world isn't any different How did they break in to the ministery of magic, being just students even if it isn't heavily guarded, you can't break into a normal ministery that easy so you'd guess it would be as dificult to break into the magic version of one, aye? maybe the books explained it, but the movie just skipping it through is bit...
Anno
>>477030 Because Voldemort and the Death Eaters knew about the prophecy sphere too. The whole thing was a set-up to get Harry to get into the department and grab it.
>>477032 I think it's pretty obviously implicit that the Death Eaters had set the department up so that Harry had a clear route in. At least, from reading both the books and watching the movies.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
>>477031 Yeah but one throw away line to explain how they got there instead of just >flying over londond >inside the department it leaves a plot hole in the story

TN !PcAPtAiNJo
and this is just 2:18 long solid 20 minutes longer than goblet *shorter a minute long scene of them breaking into the initial buildign wouldn't really break the narrative or anything
Kirara 🚗
>>477029 Yeah. Psychology has been pursuing a medical model lately, so a lot of psychologists have the mindset of "I'm the expert and I'm going to fix you" which I think is really harmful to a lot of patients.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
>>477035 But that doesn't work for medicine it is actually kinda required at times, all that "mind makes it real" as placebo is real but you can't order someone to get rid of mental issues
Kirara 🚗
Those kinds of psychologists like to use behavioral stuff, which can work even without a really good relationship. That turns into the client mostly doing homework and trying to change the way they think and stuff like that, so it works well for stuff like anxiety and sometimes depression as well as some other issues, but I don't really like that method and don't find it very useful It's like giving a person a bandaid for a lost limb. I want them to leave therapy with a prosthetic.
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
Fuck i get this and I am a total layman how do the pros not get this?

Yeah but for persnickety-ness "shithead" isn't a word really. The words themselves of the phrase or compound word are not inherently insulting, but when you put them together into a compound word or a phrase, the context is obviously offensive.
Japanese is the same way. There aren't "inherently" offensive words, but you can take those words and say them in the right tone or in the right phrase/compound word to make them offensive.

Last New Years Eve, when we were in a hotel, during the Arkansas roadtrip, I ordered a pizza, and the guy delivering it was like 16 years old, probably. I gave him a $10 tip and he got so excited that he practically skipped away. It was really cute.

Anno
>>477351 Even then, he takes a certain lot of liberty with the movies. Like in the sixth movie, there's a scene where the Death Eaters firebomb to Weasley house. Never happened in the book. The scene where they're trashing some bridge in London? Not in the book. He throws in these scenes but doesn't include other parts of the book that might have clarified some of the actions of the characters to a somewhat better degree.

I once had a guy give me $20 when I helped him at our location, turns out he was at the wrong location, so I helped him leave again, gave me another $20? that's some spending money if you can tip like that, off OOF >>477356 see that's the best of both worlds, which is how it should be you get paid a decent amount and if they want to tip on top then the option is there
TN !PcAPtAiNJo

I got tips at a job that I got paid well at. I wasn't going to refuse money.
I always tip really high as a show of solidarity with the workers that get fucked over so badly like service workers. I usually tip 30-50% if I can. Obviously, I can't afford to do that at some restaurants, but I try to tip high whenever possible. For pizza delivery, I always tip $5.

TN !PcAPtAiNJo
I don't mind adaptions differing from the source but especially in a series like this the information should be constant when you have movies following movies, you need to consider that some only take their information from the movies and not the books You can't have information on any movie of the series, that requires you to acquire information from outside of the movie series if that happens, you have failed But then again, something like the pottermovies had never been tried before

>>477489 To an extent. With some mods your only real option is "cross fingers and hope nothing breaks for a decent period of time". That or just remove the offending mods, but that's often not very appealing.
Some complications can be removed by running your mod arrangement through programs like LOOT and cleaners. But a lot of mods have imperfect coding that is ripe for memory leaks. And no amount of cleaning will wrap those up.

people with adhd function better at the beginning of their circadian rhythm i stayed up too late and slept in late, so i woke up later than usual, several hours after my cycle begins so i lost those hours of productivity if i had been more responsible and gone to bed when i planned to last night and woke up at my normal time, i would have gained an extra four hours of productivity which would have allowed me to complete all the work i had scheduled for today
because when i'm overwhelmed and need a break, i take a break, even if it's completely self-destructive to take a break i decided to let myself relax a little last night self-care is self-destructive in graduate school and i'm too interested in preserving what little self care i can get to function at the level i need to i've been working nonstop for like four weeks now
