Celica's gang is pretty poor compared to Alm's gang. I like Celica, Genny, Kamui, and Leon. I really dislike Saber and Boey is really boring.
FormerRei@mobile
So we're in the middle of a tournament arc in D&D right now, and we're at the final four which was supposed to be all PC's but one of the guy's fucked up really badly and lost.
>>142710 Celica gets some better ones later. In terms of personality Alm's is better though. I also like Alm better. Alm is cooler than Celica. Celica gets better overall units I think, but this is balanced somewhat by Faye who I believe is the best unit in the game.
>>142721 This is greenpath right now I bounced off of a mosquito to get there from the path that was blocked by a guy I had to kill with the first spell I got
sk
Following the sowing lady right now, assume I'm gonna fight her soon
rook
oh if you've got the first spell then you can go to greenpath yeah though I can't tell if you took some alternate path inside of it
sk
I just went there from the path that's south of the caterpillar boys guy who gives you money for saving his kids
rook
if I remember right that's the normal entrance to greenpath there are a few other ways but you'd have to do some crazy shit to find them first
sk
Oh by the way I found this place where I assume you're supposed to zigzag to jump between spikes with walljump But I'm like $90 sure I could technically do it by abusing the downward slash, it'd just take me 15 hours to actually make it because it's insanely precise Am I SUPPOSED to do that, or is it a walljump\other skill thing?
thinking about games where title has something to do with the game got me thinking about legacy of kain particularly soul reaver and as i thought about the timeline, I realised a bit of a morbid thing about the titular sword... In the original unaltred timeline, kain carries a version of the sword, that had just been previously used to kill his future self.
rook
>>142727 you'll get walljump fairly soon after that the game opens up a lot more >>142730 I dunno, I don't remember anywhere with spikes set up in that pattern that I couldn't walljump that downward slash trick would be fun if it worked though, I never tried anything too out there
>>142729 Yeah but the spikes there seem too close NOT that I can remember where the hell it is so
sk
I mean when I was there I already knew walljump was in the future somewhere, so I considered it, but man, it looked unbelievably tight Like I don't think I could do it without some sort of thing that makes my hitbox smaller for spikes
TN !PcAPtAiNJo
also amusingly, in the defiance you had a "fire emblem" powerup for the reaver blade
I guess I'll end up retracing the whole damn map looking for that area once I get the walljump though I found another place too that I'm gonna check when I get it, noted down where it is too
I'm having fun with this, even if the controls give me a headache sometimes cause they feel sluggish
rook
movement and combat feels fine to me but using the spells and healing feels slow >>142735 you get more movement options as the game goes on
That'll have to be tomorrow though I can only handle the game in short bursts at the moment The game made me run around this greenpath area for a fucking full 10 minutes only to have me die to a boss without giving me a damn bench anywhere close to it, so now I gotta go back all the way from fucking Dirtsmouth
sk
Actually wait no there was a bench But it's still far away Couldn't find mr maps either
rook
gotta explore more, there are at least three benches on the way to the boss >>142741 never do what // never go where the game wants you to first
sk
Yeah but the way the game was luring me in with the sowing lady, I figured it didn't intend to give me maps until I fight her
sk
I wasn't gonna, but I was tired of the area It's so samey greenpath stinks
sk
Actually I was debating if I wanted to fight the boss at all, but I ended up just going for it Figured he wasn't that hard, and he wasn't, I just tilted
rook
RIP
sk
The dash will be nice because I won't have to waddle back and forth to do cheap hit and run tactics
>>142745 there's a sort of parry mechanic if you time your swing with theirs you can be really bold and just do that
sk
Feelin' like even doing that would be a bad habit because 90% of the enemies don't even use swords or weapons
FormerRei@mobile
Made it into the final round of the in game tournament, so now my character definitely wins enough money to get out of debt. I'll also probably win the final round within two or three rounds cause I bought some really good magic arrows for killing arcane spellcasters and also have some spells that make me auto crit on humans. Basically I only lose if I roll a 1.

rook
tfw I actually remember who was on what side the last three times this discussion was brought up
I think you're the one playing tricks here. I think you know that you can trust me to be honest if I promise like that. Plus Rook says he remembers, so even if I were to lie he could call me out on it.
There's no reason for you to not spill the details!
>>142839 Rook says he remembers, but he can't remember. Because it's never been said who was on what side. You always just say I don't remember and you do. The only time we've actually said the answers was when we had the argument.
rook
it was said who was on what side two times out of the last three times this has happened
rook

>>142847 Rook wasn't here when it happened. It was way before his time. We had that argument in like 2011 or really early 2012. Actually I think it was mid-2012, I wasn't here in 2011.

I know, it wasn't your intention to do anything that would bother me. I'm not upset about that because you couldn't have known. My problem was just that you seemed totally dismissive of my concerns when I brought them up.

My imouto got pretty scared with someone at our front door. She's not really the best people person around, and in all fairness, someone at the door at 22:00 at night is kind of strange, but still.
Turns out my brother had ordered Chinese food and the guy at the door was dropping it off.
>>142914 Well like I said I'm sorry I caused you distress. But there was no lasting harm and it was something unforeseeable, so I don't feel the need to self-flagellate like I would if either of those conditions had been present.
>>142919 That depends on how the person that was in distress feels about it. If "relatively minor distress" refers to my subjective perception of their distress which they have expressed as something important, then I think I should apologize because I didn't mean to cause anyone legitimate distress. If it was legitimately minor to them and they're like, "oh nbd haha" then I don't think an apology is necessary.

i thought that would get your attention do // you don't have netflix, right? have you watched bloodline? it's a family crime drama, but it's really good >>143826 season 3, the final season, just came out a couple days ago it's REALLY good but to some people it might seem really boring i don't know how much you care for dramas
The Killing is another netflix original that i think is one of the best things i've ever watched it's based of a (I think UK?) series that had come a long time earlier but i really like this version
it's kind of like twin peaks but less david lynch and a little more... something else they really don't hold anything back, but don't overdo it either
sk
I ended up getting bored and forgetting about Twin Peaks I might get back to it though
There was something with a demon and it was basically like watching Soul Eater again That's all I really remember
月
oh i never got far into twin peaks, i didn't know it got anything like that that's kind of dumb
i take that part back then. it's got that kind of rawness and candidness to it though it's like what an actual homicide investigation might be like, although the actual case(s) are a little on the extreme end of what you'd probably encounter in your life as a homicide detective but it's not unrealistic that someone might
but it really breaks that law & order or other police shows' trend of "a thing happened, detectives unravel it and the trial is held all on the same day" kind of trope it's four seasons long and there are only a few killings, and it goes really in-depth into all the lives affected by it, but with the detectives as the main characters of the show there's so much depth and detail that it really stands out. it's stuff like that that i really like in my shows, not short episodic bursts of stories with static characters it's kind of an intense watch though >>143831 any thought on catching up on BCS? the new episode comes out today
season 2 and 3 are really, really good i think it's my favorite. i really look forward to it every week season 1 i don't remember that well at this point but i think it's exposition for seasons 2 and 3 SAUL just showed up last week in his first TV commercial
the last episode was so good i can't not recommend it to people like, prior to this i just figured to let people watch it if they want but after this episode last week i think it's probably the best thing i've watched
i mean, this is vince gilligan's dream project breaking bad had to cater quite a bit in order to satisfy AMC, but after breaking bad, he's basically able to do whatever he wants he really slowed down the pacing, made it less "BOOM EXPLOSIONS AND DRAMA EVERYWHERE" and got to do a really in-depth narrative of a lawyer turning crooked the scenes are so beautifully done, and they're longer scenes than a typical show and you really get to see bob odenkirk's acting shine in that light also mike's, but i forget his actor's name
anyway im gonna watch warmachine been waiting for this one
sk
I was gonna watch it with someone, but he's not on discord so I'm not gonna bother to get a hold of him through some other channels Nigga knows I only really have discord right now
