yanineko yeah I'm honestly not entirely sure why people are so mad about the show something about it being slop because the OP is legit just references to movies, and the actual content of the episode is episodic comedy playing on her crippling addiction it's kinda mysterious to me why it's something people have such strong opinions on rather than just something they don't personally like the actual animation is way cleaner than a show like this has any right to be, though, that's for sure

yeah there was a pimple or mosquito bite or something, real big like, collection of that gunk underneath I popped it the other day, and when I woke up the next morning I guess I had learned the hard way why you do not do that, because my right eyelid had swelled up so much I couldn't even open it so I got antibiotics and am on sick leave through wednesday, and the gunk has been expelled through the hole at a pretty rapid pace but it's still not done, and I guess until it's done it's not gonna heal up either, so I gotta keep disinfecting it and swapping out the bandaid

and through the beauty of circumstance, I just had that happen there's kind of a bully nearby, he's been fucking with a nation I wanna subjugate, and while it's at war I CAN NOT do that, so I've been waiting for my powerlevel to tip far enough that I can go to war to subjugate the bully (you need to be significantly stronger to declare war on those grounds) and just as I declared war, two other hive mind empires I've been on good terms with hoping to form a federation of hiveminds a bit later down the line sent me the same trade offer, amounting to "hey, big dawg. let us join in, let's gang up on the mf" neither of them is particularly strong, I could likely have vassalized them by now if I wanted to, but I wanna form a hivemind federation so I'm not doing it

I fucked up my whole playthrough by terraforming the wrong planets I didn't know the details of hive worlds, I thought they were just outright better than regular planets, and they ARE, for non-resource-extraction research, unity farming, forgeworlds, etc. are all significantly better on hive worlds But, turning it into a hive world removes all the resource extraction options, replacing them with districts instead, which is very, very bad when you accidentally terraform, a process that can not be cancelled, your resource worlds into hive worlds and just have to watch the clock tick down, knowing you're about to hit a fat -300 or more a month in every resource
but you live and you learn, and now I know to be more careful, and also that terraforming a populated planet, once you have the tech for it, is seamless and not a problem at all So it's a new run, and I'm gonna expand like crazy, build WIDE, focus down research like never before, and get fucking cracking
It's a shame I never got to try out my stellar cannon, built around a pulsar star and supposedly having serious destructive potential, but I was kinda dealing with a lot of issues and didn't have the time for a war once it got up and running I am gonna fire that thing though, next time
Surprisingly I never found the fallen empires, well I found on e of them, this time around I wonder where the other one was hiding out
and, of course, I'm gonna be more attentive to the research tree I NEED climate restoration by the time I get my third ascension perk, or I can't pick hive worlds in the first place And because vassal empires are so powerful, I should probably work towards a powerful fleet asap so I can force my neighbors into submission it might actually be a good idea to only push my tech up to the point I can make another empire d- Wait no, resource vassals are actually way better gains, thinking about it My research-focused, max level vassal empire in this previous game only really put out like 50 of each science, which my stations alone dwarfed by that point, but my resource vassal, despite hating my guts and being about as loyal as a skaven would be, was feeding me like 300+ of each resource, which I can turn into a staggering amount of science myself

This latest run of stellaris is going incredibly well I started out in a dead end of the galaxy, expanded until I ran into another empire which basically has me enclosed, formed a nonaggression pact with them, and then started just churning out research and materials, ignoring my navy more or less I've got effectively 0 military power, but my econ might be the strongest in the galaxy Once I am done terraforming and getting everything set up, I can just spit out a navy to begin more expansion It is unfortunate an ancient empire is literally blocking my access to half my territory, but they have their borders open so that's fine Maybe I can conquer them eventually too But that's very far future stuff, they've got 130k+ strength fleets, and uh, the biggest I've ever gotten all my fleets combined is like 50k
