i think they wait until they have enough evidence of cheating before it happens so yeah it might be a while and they probably don't want players going on witch hunts against cheaters or anything so they don't make it easy but you can find the game like pro players will remember what games they got cheated against... and also streamers tend to get their reports in pretty fast so they can link it to the game usually

generally each layer is fully crosslinked to the next layer so neuron 1 is connected to the next neuron 1 via some weight, to neuron 2 via some other weight, and so on so it's a big matrix multiplication i don't think you can necessarily remove a 0.999 weight by itself because it's still part of the overall computation

yeah, I just mean if you run a check on every weight to see if you're gonna use it, that might end up more expensive than just running all of them, even if you save some amount of processing for each one you prune though I guess if you run that check once before like, baking the model basically, then the resulting model you actually use after training might have some amount of performance increase, since you're not checking anymore in the live one

because CPUs are good at serial processing and branching and conditionals, and GPUs are only good at brute forcing over whatever's in VRAM also VRAM tends to be closer to the GPU cores, higher bandwidth, so it feeds directly in and gets a result out fast whereas CPU is more about loading from all over the place depending on the program logic, which is where the L3/L2/L1 cache helps in keeping often-used bits of ram handy

yeah exactly it gets paged out if a memory page hasn't been touched in a while a CPU is bottlenecked by the DDR speed anyway, so a lot of the hot memory is really sitting in the L3 cache anyway, or L2/L1 if its really hot, so you don't have to run the cost of going all the way out to RAM. then when those values are no longer so hot, they get flushed back out to RAM. or even swap if cold enough

part of the difficulty of working with GPUs is having to copy data from main memory into VRAM as well, so the code has to manage that, and then there's PCI-E bandwidth limitations in that... it's bottlenecks all the way down

Yeah I'm sure they wouldn't do it intentionally if they put them together in like, creative mode basically, but it's really difficult to balance that so they're not a pushover for the stage of the game they're in Probably the best approach is just running the game normally before the patch goes live enough times you've got some runs that at least can get there and followed the rules of the new patch instead of cheating Maybe rig the RNG a little bit just so you don't spend eternities putting together the runs though, cause I mean, a run of the bazaar is pretty time consuming unless you skip or otherwise speed up the actual fights and stuff
Really the kinda... slow stuff is the biggest gripe I have with the game The actual fights are kinda slow, and that is strictly speaking artificial, you could easily calculate the end result real fast, so something like having the game speed up when you're in a situation where you are getting 1tapped from the get go or something would be nice. The game CAN know in advance whether that sniper rifle on the other side will OHKO me when it fires, and certainly I can see it coming too, so it's just... sitting there for 10 seconds, knowing I got smoked when I clicked the button to fight
Some of the UI is janky too, and particularly the gumballs I desperately need them to remove the cooldown on buying from. I should be able to just rapid-fire tap the buy button on those things, not wait like a second between each one

There's actually quite a few things that feel like it's just... missing Like there's at least one item that gives you other items when you acquire it, it's 3 small friends, nanobots, mentioned by name in the description and all ...but there's absolutely no indication what those do, so the first time at least you're buying this thing ENTIRELY blind STS' thing where any card that gives you another card on use or whatever show that card when you hover over it is just... crazy good the chum bucket, too, gives you a piranha, but there's no indication what a piranha even is on the card, you can't even infer whether it's a weapon or what
It doesn't matter THAT much cause you do learn that stuff real quick, but I mean... it's kinda fucked if you clear 5 slots for the DJ robot and its 3 nanobots in a good run, only to discover the cards don't fit your build at all
the effects of upgrades are only shown when you've got a duplicate card on offer that can upgrade it, too, which sucks ASS cause there's no standardization to that stuff Some items upgrade their cooldown, some upgrade their on-activation effects (which can be either more targets or longer duration for something like haste or slow), and some activate their passive Something simple like a little arrow above the stats that would upgrade being visible at all times or when you zoom in on the card would go a long way, cause you can easily scuttle a great run by upgrading an item that doesn't actually add anything to your run with the upgrade

First Aiden is core to like 99% of the builds I make cause it's just SO strong it's a 3s cooldown small friend that hastes a random item so it can be placed completely based on other items' requirements, pump the core, and pump anything that relies on friends or haste too

The released photo of the firearm he allegedly used is 9mm. You can't 3d print a suppressor for a 9mm at this point in the game, it would fall apart immediately upon being used. Right now the only silencers you can 3d print effectively are for 22s
Ghost guns are basically just guns that you order parts for from misc places and then assemble at home. Because you haven't purchased an actual gun, there are fewer people with eyes on you with it and nobody necessarily knows you have it. But a silencer is a totally different story, there aren't really ghost silencers in the vein that you can see in the video It's not impossible he made it at home but he'd need serious equipment
