i dont think so for one thing there are biomes i dont really know how it works tbh but they're definitely not uniformly selected, i get the same subset of pokemon (that rotate in periodically) and maybe a sprinkling of random ines now and then to keep your dopamine spiking

started a new dorf fort not entirely sure where I'll be taking it, but I suppose the end goal is the same as always: eliminate everyone else One world, one fort, one population of dwarves and whoever shows up and wants to stay (I can not make clothes for them so they'll be the village lunatic before long)

man the start of dorf fort is always just a LOT of menu management honestly the most annoying part of it, though it's hard to avoid that Maybe if they sat down and made a bunch of bespoke "you should have these in basically any fortress" tasks And also, some fucking tabs in the task manager, cause MAN that list gets long once you've played a bit and set up production chains
Like I think an easy one-click "Full set of steel armor" task would be good to have It's not like I'll ever want to specifically make a steel chestplate but nothing else, I'll always want the full set, at least for recurring tasks Sure if I specifically need some extra ones of that for trade or to make up a deficit for whatever reason, but that's super rare Having the option to just go "OK let me add and manage together the tasks that make up a full set" would be SO much easier Same with clothes, it ends up being so tedious because each single piece of clothing needs its own entry, and each entry needs its own set of conditions And when your fort expands, you need to edit all of them, one by one And you need to do that for everything More dwarves? Need more booze now, gotta go menu diving and find those then edit them, granted there's only two of them so it's not a big hassle for that, but still
