Fuck it I'm starting a chaos creature run, just to see how it goes I can fairly easily knock out a good amount of levels early on by just abusing the training dummy you get pretty early on
Because unlike in other games, that thing gives EXP and all EXP is created equal in Elin your actual "main level" exp counter isn't gradually ticking up, it gets chunks of EXP every time you fully level up some skill or attribute like STR or whatever which means you can just pick up some skills you've overlooked for a bit and start grinding, and you'll get more levels Your HP and mana does seem to scale, somewhat, with the main level, but they also scale based on attributes which can be leveled on their own, so you can conceivably become an actual demon creature with like 1m HP because you went REALLY hard on farming
