i really didn't like the part where the girl was being pulled
i don't like that kind of thing

I don't mind the content, but the writing felt really lazily done in this episode.
It felt like the author was trying to go for shock after shock without setting up the twists and turns.
Stuff like that is really disrespectful to your audience.

Well, the author did totally handwave the switcharoo thing.

It would have been really easy to set up the sonic switcharoo too
Just have like a quick shot back to Metropoliman standing on the pitcher's mound and have a visual glitch or similar thing happen
Maybe have the MC blink and refocus his eyes

If the stuff in the first half of the episode had been handled better, it would have made everything that came later less awful

whenever i mention that the author does some whack shit i just get ignored
but also this show in general is not particularly airtight
shows where characters have crazy powers like this tend to have holes everywhere
and i just come to expect it
my problems with this show mostly come from there not really being much to be excited about
but also i really didn't like the girl being pulled or the scene where the mc's aunt killed herself

I don't think it's par for the course when there are holes in stuff like this, it's not hard to write something logically coherent and usually people do.
Plat just has some lazy writing.

The stuff like people getting hurt or dying doesn't really bother me to see depicted in an anime

Yeah, like I can say I'm unsurprised Platinum End has some weak writing because it's written by the author of Death Note
But that doesn't excuse the lazy writing, just rationalizes it for me
The author really likes this "gotchu" kind of writing where they try so hard to outplay both the reader and the character
I think some times it's fine give an easy solution

the main machines are all MAILeS but the enemies are all simple AMAIMs as far as we know

I woke up naturally a few minutes before my alarm went off.
