But Blue Period might also not be on public TV, so that might help them get away with it too

In it, Japan has been taken over by an alt-history Japan which never had to abandon its imperialistic culture and invaded "our" Japan across dimensions, taking over the country
They then make illegal all fantastical content like manga, anime, games, and outlaw aidoru activities and stuff too
So the terrorists are a bunch of otaku who are fighting back to get their hobbies legitimate again

Usually these things get a mid-season upgrade and I hope they change the head style for it. Although usually the head stays the same in those.

AIMAIMS are autonomous mechas. Kenbu and the other one (Jogan sp?) are manned but can also operate autonomously if necessary.

Presumably this GHOST is also manned.
MAILeS uses Japanese names because they're a Japanese nationalist organization while other nations or alliances have names that reflect their cultures usually.
The Asian Federation (probably China) has the New Ren, for example, while SEA has the Bunyip Boomerang.
So GHOST might be SEA or possibly whoever the Americans/Brits are.
