No Bang shows tonight
Anno
Also seems like I'm getting the storm of the season here tonight It's already flickered my power once and made my Internet hiccup So if I seem spotty at times, that's probably why
Milim seemed like an equal to him but Veldora is just playing around
Anno
SHOURYUKEN
>>980977 Milim always found fights to be play too though If she's really not entirely under Clayman's control then she'd probably enjoy him being goofy
Clayman has to have some kind of trick up his sleeve and I don't think this is gonna be it
Anno
I always assumed he was weaker than most of the Maou if not all, but made up for it with cunning But maybe he's really a total weakling and way more of his accomplishments were to the credit of his schemes than I thought
At this point I'm thinking that he's jobbing for whoever comes next.
Anno
Really his plan hinged on a serious Milim being more than Rimuru could handle Which I still think is true
Anno
Hah hah hah They were definitely hinting at this Which means Milim was probably never going at full throttle with Rimuru, since she wouldn't want to kill him
After being intimidating for the whole last episode, the demon lords all seem like a nice bunch now
Anno
There's probably a degree of cameraderie for the most part amongst them They've been around for hundreds of years in some parts You either become sworn enemies or understand each other pretty well after that long
Anno
I think for the most part they had good reason to be shifty about Rimuru too Even if anything Clayman was doing was an obvious scheme, Rimuru entering the ranks as a Maou is a pretty big instability factor to the power balance of the world
This show is often boring but when it's interesting it's really interesting
100 man okay let's start
Anno
Yeah that'll make for a fun fight
>>980995 I like the talky, slower aspect of it too It's probably something that works better in writing than animation, but it tickles my worldbuilding fantasy nerd side a lot
Ready when you are
Anno
This is the problem with not having foresight and building your villains in the caldera of a volcano If you have such a small territory to build your village and farms in, you're going to run out of space fast
This isn't what you meant with that sentence but thinking about this series and comparing it to slime is that the villains here really aren't built and each arc is disposable
Anno
Yeah, hah hah whoops
But yeah, you have a point There hasn't been a whole lot of interconnectivity in this series
Anno
Really though there is a big problem with the traditional human settlement behaviour in a world this hazardous Like before industrialization, most people were more than happy to live in dispersed settlements, living off of agriculture or resource harvesting, or skilled craftworks But when the world is so dangerous, you can't exactly have like farm hamlets or mining/lumberjacking villages, the logistics of defending them all would be insane
This area seems to have a particularly high danger level It makes you wonder why people are living here in the first place
Anno
I've been assuming so far the danger level has gotten higher globally Something has pressured the monsters to increase their strength It might've been safe-ish, as much as anywhere in this world can be safe, before, but got worse in the ten or how many years it's been since the heroes were last in this world
Anno
I think there's plenty of people in this camp who had fair vengeance for the old man Considering he's the one who threw them out of the slim security their village had
Anno
Wow so me real detectiving
Anno
Oh no she's a parasite zombie now too How'd that sneak in anyway
Hah hah If Homura can't time stop she's a pretty ineffective mahou shoujo I think she's still a fair crack shot and has some other things like bombs But she's basically just a zombie with a gun now
Anno
Onee-chan-mode Yachiyo is nice
Anno
Really I think trying to use Walpurgisnacht for anything is ego It's always played up as a force of nature -- that's even how it appears in the real world For people to hope they can harness it for their own uses, that's a classical foible of literature
Anno
I wonder if Sayaka's the one that knows Mami the best out of the old guard Probably, I guess
Anno
>This is the place for people who can't give their best anymore Wow I'm in this quote and I don't like it
Anno
Oh no they killed their friend
Ah yikes she's even more zombie-y than the usual mahou shoujo
He can double anything He just doubles himself because his doubles can use his power too His power has a limit of making at most two copies of things, but if he doubles himself, those doubles can also make two copies
Anno
>I need to take as much of Shigraki's load... Phrasing
Anno
The lizard guy does seem pretty weak Maybe in terms of brute combat ability he's pretty good Most of the League of Villains have Quirks they can rely for power, but all this guy can do is be a lizard
Anno
Shigaraki's looking a lot like a kid here Even though he's like, 19/20 or somewhere around there
He's going up against someone who's basically the head of a sleeping terrorist army that's been training for decades Shigaraki might be All-For-One's little pet but that's still a tall wall to clear
Anno
His eyes aren't red and his hair isn't white Whatever his trigger is sure transforms him
Anno
He looks quite a bit like Deku A bit less floofy but his eyes are similar too
As heroes have origins, so do villains Not every origin story is a happy one
Anno
I think that was a suitably fucked up backstory for Shigaraki, considering his childish tantrums and fixation on mindless destruction Especially if afterwards he had All For One brainwashing him into being a good little pet of destruction
I still think someone could be a school idol while still in the music track at their school
Anno
Oh it's like an inverse take on the STUDENT COUNCIL HAET AIDORU They've got to win the election so the studen council doesn't squash their aidoru activities
How do you even get negative twenty votes I feel like a penalty is unnecessary!
Anno
Yeah I was thinking that too Her campaign was supported by saying she'd give the music track and general track equal opportunities But then she immediately went and gave the music track special treatment
Guess there's a bit of a plot element of saving the school here too They took their time introducing it Unless they were being kind of vague there It sounded like the school's continuation was at risk But it could also be that the girl just wants to protect the culture of the school her mother used to go to
I wonder how often schools in Japan risk closure They do have a declining youth population I guess You'd just think with how population dense they are, there would always be students to attend
