and then i forgot until just now

Also we got this scene of her showering and changing clothes in Gou, just minus all the blood

We knew it was going to be short-lived victory in the original Tatari-damashi but it has a whole extra layer of poetic irony with Satoko's villainy now on display

Even in the VNs she never really got a lot of personality beyond being Rika's friend who was a prankster brat

And honestly, Satoko has always been prime to be fucked up
She had a horrid childhood of abuse at the hands of her aunt and uncle, her one protector disappeared, and if before looping she had faint memories of previous loops, she would subconsciously remember dying
It's all around a prime opportunity to go full sociopath

Ironically, it seems like that weapon isn't actually necessary.
If Rika killed Satoko by any means, Rika would /// Satoko would lose. She's get put in a fragment without Rika, and they'd be separated. Rika would be free to loop until she gets the best possible fragment for the happy ending she wants, sans Satoko.

My working expectation is in her grief of being betrayed and having to willfully kill her best friend, Rika might use the shard for the original purpose she promised herself she'd use it for
