I'm pretty much free from all responsibilities in the whole world so I have no time constraints.
If I don't sleep enough after anime (plus my pre anime nap) I can just nap whenever I want on Friday.

Tracking beautiful and wholesome things through blood and grime has its own kind of charm

I really do think this shows Ryuukishi's skill at looking at story themes broadly and knowing what needs to be done to make them work
Like, bar one final big hook (admittedly not unthinkable), we can pretty clearly see where this is building to
If Satoko loses, or gets shard-stabbed by Rika, she's gone
Written out of the story that the others all get to celebrate
That's a pretty awful fate. In order to make it suitable, you need an equally suitable crime
So Satoko has to be the absolute, more certain evil she can be

I think we're going to see this somehow transition over to umineko with rika becoming bern or parts of rika becoming bern
I'd like to see Rika get her happy ending

but I don't think it's going to happen
and yeah
I think this series has really turned the series on its head in a good way
very well done
