Bang particularly liked Akashic Records by the look of it, so we might want to see if he's coming around. Starting with Haine is probably all right since it's kind of average.

Bang dream is better than this. The thing that bothers me about this is that it's just guys talking in a room. 90% of the show happens in this same room.
The characters all lack interesting features, too. At least Bang Dream had Arisa and O-Tae. None of these characters have any bite.

No, it's just not interesting. Free was interesting because the characters were all attractive. Yuri on Ice was interesting because it pushed the envelope. Basugay was interesting for both reasons.

I was reading a dump of the prequel arc for Ilya which concerns the alternate world Shirou. Like it's pretty much Shirou as the main character becoming a hero of justice. And then this show's got Glen wanting to be a hero (mage) of justice. I guess tonight was a SEIGI NO MIKATA night.

The story is kinda teating the blond as the main heroine now, but Shironeko seems to have the more prominent spot in the OP. And there's the flag where she looks like the flashback girl. So I think we're seeing a bit of a heroine fakeout.
