but they really just went straight for the chaos

They're probably on a bit of a time crunch
Even if they're going totally off the rails of the game's plot, I bet the climax will be similar in some way

This is still pretty similar to the game, but there are some major differences.
The plot hasn't super changed, but the order of some things are weird.

Yeah in that case a crunch makes a lot of sense

It's pretty rare for anime to pull up older songs for their OP/ED
The songs are usually written for the show, which, when a show artsy or tries to tackle complex things, usually makes for a really nice song

Yeah, the only instance of an old song being used that I can think of off hand is BokuMachi from a few years ago. They used Re: Re: from Asian Kung-Fu Generation if you remember.

And even that kinda clicks since it's a timeslip anime, so bringing an older song in for the OP adds a nice bit of depth

I guess ReLife had a whole bunch of older songs that they played in the ED, but that was more like, a set-list from when the MC would have been a teenager the first time around

Five shows is a nice night
I remember back when we didn't watch so much that we could do four a night and not have any build up, hah hah
Although we also did anime more often six or seven times a week back then, so I guess we actually had more slots to work with some times
It probably wouldn't be that hard to trim down to enough that we could get a night or two of four shows in
But at this point it's kind of just habit to work around five shows a night

We had a six-show night earlier in the week too since we'd started pretty early and made good time
Which was nice since I slept in a night and we'd only had time for four shows, so doing six helped balance that out

Wow, that's a big night.

Also you should check out the new Love Live if you've got time
The characters are pretty nice and the show looks absolutely gorgeous

I'll probably check it out sooner or later.
Love Live hasn't been great for the past couple years so I kind of ignored it.

They've changed it up a bit for this iteration
The main cast is trimmed down to a unit of five, and so far they haven't done too much of the some what trope-fulfilling nature of the main cast
The only real trope greviance is they still have the serious rurus girl who HAET AIDORU (except not really)
But the rest of the cast so far has been fairly fresh
