Like the whole emergence of the smartphone, and personal pocket computers, while not entirely unexplored in sci-fi, were never really considered universal like they are in real life nowadays, in older sci-fi
The idea of having a complex personal device wasn't really prevalent, no matter how far flung the future in science fiction was

She's kinda useless in this as well

I'm looking forward to the next arc of this too though

Comparatively, by the way, this is what Onii-sama and Miyuki look like in the main series
I tried to find a shot which accurately captures Onii-sama's perpetual look of mild unease

Is it a different studio?

Maybe? I haven't checked
But this show's original manga is by an artist who was definitely given leeway from the LN's original character designs
I think the main series is more faithful to what the illustrations in the LNs look like

onii-sama looks about the same but i feel like they made miyuki look more delicate
