Rika and I watched the new Love Live last night and it had some gorgeous scenery design too
I think the school they go to is situated in Tokyo's Harajuku street area and they do a great job of bringing it to life

My assumption is the only one of them that's real is Featherine

if it's actually Featherine fucking with Rika, those would be perfectly fun grounds for why Bern is so absolutely seething about her in Umineko

Wow Satoko even gets to see those

This new game is really stacked in Satoko's favour

Maybe Satoko was so afraid of her uncle in that one fragment because she was worried her uncle would kill her before Rika died.
And then they'd be sent to different fragments potentially.

Although even that doesn't fully explain her behavior.

She has seen all of Rika's countless fragments, so she's seen herself suffer the trauma of Teppei returning who knows how many times
It might be that she's just had more than enough experience to pull off a flawless act of being terrified and suffering at his hands

I thought about it being an act, but when she freaked out at Keiichi, I don't think even Satoko with all this information would understand PTSD enough to know to fake it there.
Especially in the 80s when PTSD was still barely acknowledged.

My assumption was she needs money for her next plot
And it's hard for a like ten-year-old to make a lot of money easily
Schmoozing up to her uncle and getting him to make her a lot of money was probably the easiest way, especially since she can game the system

She did have a GUN towards the end of this arc in Gou, at least assuming this is the answer arc of the second Gou arc
And she did also have a GUN when Rika confronted her
So this might be explaining how she got herself one

Even though realistically a BB gun isn't really going to be enough practice to transition smoothly into knowing how to shoot a real firearm

As long as you know how to operate a firearm, a properly weighted BB gun is actually the perfect way to learn how to shoot a real gun!
Most kids who learn to shoot learn to shoot on a BB gun because it transitions well!

Most BB guns are just light plastic, but they make ones that are weighted to be equal to a real gun.
Recoil depends on the caliber. Like, with a .22 you won't really get much recoil. Even with a 5.56 or .22LR the recoil isn't worth worrying about .
Satoko's got a .45 here which does have significant recoil but recoil isn't a problem unless you're rapid firing. For Satoko's purposes, it shouldn't be a problem.

Though with Umineko they were much more straightforward about rules being different depending on who was the Gamemaster of the board for that Episode
Episodes 1-4 of Umineko were gameboards of Beatrice's, and Episodes 5-6 had Gamemasters who respected Beato's original design and kept the rules intact
But Episodes 7-8 had Gamemasters who played freely with the rules and basically trashed the conventions of the game because of various reasons

We're seeing a similar emergence of disrespect in these Satoko arcs

I feel like this is going to end with Rika being proto-bern and satoko also being her corresponding umineko character
but im hoping for a happy ending for rika
