Mac basically gets to speedrun the same kind of depression arc that Joe spend like five years and the first quarter of the series in

When you start talking about a "moldy sense of ethics" getting in the way of technological improvement then I think it's time to start considering you might be the villain.

Mac's story isn't really that different than the guy joe met earlire in the series
both poor guys exploited by the rich

It's hard to compare their losses, but I think Chief's loss was deeper
But we are also kinda seeing Mac at like twenty steps behind Chief on his way to emotional recovery

Mac at least still has his family alive
And if he steps away from boxing, he might be able to keep the way the tech is messing with him from causing damage

What a tone deaf, pretentious little shit

Geez Kyo you had a perfectly good umbrella in hand

I've always really liked the OST for this adaptation
The pieces do a really good job of mood-setting
And a lot of them carry a very ethereal sound

Even without trying to Yuki was always 1-UP-ing Kyo

Her natural attributes are too strong

Kyo's never really learned the final lesson Tohru's mom left him with
That he always figures there needs to be someone to blame
Whether that's Yuki, or his parents, or Tohru's mom, or in lieu of anyone else, himself

Though it's not really his fault. He was told basically from the moment he was conscious that he was subhuman and has broadly been treated like trash
Even now he's still just a kid, really.

I guess while I'd forgotten most of these climax plot threads in the like twelve or more years since I read the manga, somewhere I faintly always remembered how much Kyo considers himself a coward
I can always relate on a fundamental level to people who only ever see themselves as running away from things.
It's really hard to not be a coward in life.

Time to face Papa Arrow who might also be god it's kind of hard to tell

I don't think there's much to do besides stalling when it comes to fighting him

I guess they're a big life support system, yeah.

Killing god doesn't quite feel as just when that god is nothing more than an infant though

You can tell the writers for this series had some cool crazy ideas for why everything is but had no clue how to actually fit it all into the actual series
So instead we just get the exposition from the big boss

Well it's silly but that is kind of an an in-world logical reason for why they're not gone yet

They managed to punch their way straight through the barrier of their world
Even Arrow and his squad had to use a preexisting weak point to get through

It's definitely hitting all the sweet spots of a good one

This sure has gotten pretty trippy
But I guess if there really is a dimension above our dimension our capacity to perceive it would probably be pretty disjointed and abstract

They went from being a bunch of cowboy hicks in the middle of nowhere to being interdimensional space-faring babysitters
Oh and they're heading for Earth

I'm always down for a fun anime original series
And Sunrise is consistently good at delivering some of the most ridiculous ones

Actually we got like five anime original series this season
At least among what we ended up watching
That's a pretty high count

Well I guess Mars Red was a musical before it was an anime
But I dunno if I'd qualify that as an adaptation

Wow he took a solid hit there from the raid boss looks like
Usually Diablo is pretty good at not taking damage, or at least only doing so intentionally.

She jobbed pretty fast there

I guess as far as people who can be afforded to take a beating, the robot is the best bet though

Most of them do kind of stand out enough when they appear that you can remember who they were at least

He's gonna get double married.

Well right now he's only single married
But his wife seems pretty on board with bringing her best friend into the fold

That wasn't a masterpiece but it was enjoyable again this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the last we see of it, even if it's well received in Japan
They've been skirting around some of the lewd stuff, from the chatter I've seen about the series, or outright replacing it with toned down equivalents
But I think from this point on it will get harder for them to not cover the stuff that's outright softcore porn in the LNs, I think

I get they're bike nerds but they really ought to eat indoors once the weather gets this cold

I can think of another bike nerd that likes to eat outside.

Honestly the cafe is super kitschy
To the point where it's so tacky it kind of comes around again and ends up kind of working

His overalls bother me, they just don't look good.

I think he's going for the Japanese perception of a rustic American look
So they're probably missing the mark a bit

How poor is she that a 1200yen frivolity is a hard decision for her

I've seen people with bikes that have these
They do look kind of goofy, effectively like, yeah, little pockets for you to stick your hands into
It's probably a useful alternative to having to get thick gloves that limit your hand flexibility though
