Hayai The Grand Magus kind of acts a fair bit like a spoiled kid Probably not the best attitude for someone in such an important position
Anno
blesssss youuuuuuuuu
Anno
A high-quality meido is an invaluable thing
Anno
it really is the power of love
Anno
what if aira just needs the power of love to be a saint too
Anno
First she needs to understand WHAT IS LOVE
Anno
He's a bit of a meatbrain Though he did, in his misunderstood way, stand up for her own agency when he thought Hawke was trying to be controlling of her He's not a bad guy just a bit stupid
Anno
blockhead
Anno
Hawke got really serious there
Anno
yeah i mean telling someone that you have feelings for them is hard enough telling them your feelings are also the source of your holy powers that will save the kingdom is a whole other thing
Anno
Cute
Anno
Maybe having to deal with a bit of jealousy will have Hawke coming to terms with the fact that he's sweet for Sei
Anno
Ew
Anno
SURAIMU!???!?
Anno
They'd be kind of cute if they weren't evidently corrosive
Good thing the mage squad showed up Though they probably only just need the Grand Magus
Anno
slimes are a pretty high level danger in some universes although i think sei probably could've done a big magic to save everyone, it's good the magus showed up
Anno
>>953374 i wonder what war is like do great mages just shoot tons of spells over woke battlefields?
Jin's not real objective here anyway The Shogun's the big problem
Anno
As far as a monstrous form goes, a crow is a pretty good choice
Anno
I just always assumed it was the same white crow from her mother to her
Anno
I wonder if real Yoshinobu hadn't stepped down if he could have remained Shogun into the early 1900s He was born 1837 so he could've survived to be the old man we saw him as here I guess culturally there was pressure for the Shogunate to end And he didn't have some magical power resource like this one to maintain his hold on power
Anno
wow
Anno
alright i hate it
Anno
I feel if they wanted Sawa dead by the end of the series they could've connected those parts better Since they obviously really cared about that last scene with her and Asahi And really wanted the "years later" scene The stabbing was kind of a weak way to tie it all together
Anno
up until sawa gets stabbed inthe back, i'm cool with the ending
but if sawa dies, isn't it better if asahi doesn't come back? asahi should've stayed dead if sawa is just going to die this is the worst end and why does asahi have the bird? she wasn't karasumori-blooded
i feel like this last episode is in a hurry and the ending seems pretty obvious not that i mind but that's just my thoughts
Anno
I kind of understand realizing the relationship you've been pursuing, kind of expecting it to fail, suddenly seeming like it would work out, being really scary to you and making you back off It's a very understandable kind of cowardice
Anno
wow he just turned and walked away
Anno
Is she going to save him from falling down stairs again That would be a very shoujo-poi book end to this series
Anno
Aw she didn't really get her chance Oh I guess it's instead his turn to catch her
Anno
these poor onlookers
Anno
Oh they're really staring Well if it's Tokyo it's probably not that weird
I think it's still weird but it's okay to be weird from time to time
Anno
It's less the age gap there and more a Japanese salaryman and a girl in a highschool uniform sharing a kiss is probably a bit weird to see in public But like I said, probably less weird in Tokyo You probably see stuff close to that not too uncommonly.
To be fair this whole season has been a "Joe Gets Sick" arc He's been addicted to painkillers and struggling with mental illness the whole time As nice and soul-soothing as that arc where he drank tea with the immigrants was, that's not really enough to do away with like five years of heavy painkiller use
Anno
This guy who developed the skeleton that Mac is using really feels a bit satirical of the modern era Tech Bro CEO that's come out of Silicon Valley Maybe not altogether greedy or cold-hearted, and maybe does earnestly believe what they're doing is for the good of humanity But puts that before being a bit more of an empathetic human being
I like scenes like this that are calm but still hot blooded
Anno
They put a lot of soul into the characters Like you can really just "get" Joe He's a bit of a dumbass and loves to punch a bit much and is unabashedly set in his ways But he's really human
Anno
Oh Joe plans to fight with gear That's dangerous It means he'll be fighting Mac in gear too
This is one I'd love to see more of I think the manga's at like a hundred chapters or so, even if they've been maybe cutting things here and there in the anime they could still probably have enough material for at least another cour easily
Anno
>Did she plan this from the start? Kate please you should know Emilico better than this by now She doesn't plan anything
Anno
Edward does everything with such a dramatic flair
Anno
Water slide! Once again that wheelbarrow comes in use Emilico really has SSS-rank luck
It's more or less what I was guessing I don't know why, but Kate doesn't seem to want to play the usual game of the Shadows House She's been deliberately flaunting some aspects of it Another mystery of the series
I guess? It feels a bit strange. Like we've seen no indication of the Shadows dissipating like that And there was nothing that seemed to be doing it to her
We're kind of all of a sudden getting a lot of answers to some of the questions the series has been establishing
Anno
If the Shadows are basically changelings that take on the physical aspects of abducted human beings It really suits the rather Fey aesthetic a lot of the Shadows have
Anno
Whoof That slight way her smiled tweaked right at the end there was unnerving
What I really liked about that bit there is Emilico's seiyuu did a really good job at differentiating between "her" personality and the one that's kind of been inserted in by the brainwashing If you go back and listen, there's this almost robotic way she happily talks about cleaning, and then afterwards when she talks about the faulty dolls being of no use But in between those two lines, there's one where she says she feels sad about Rum and it's much more in the usual tone she has
