It has three episodes built up, so it's definitely not the best thing
But it's enjoyable enough
The world is silly and a fun parody of a lot of fantasy tropes from Japanese media
The main character is insufferable but the rest is nice.

Fushi's making some real leaps and bounds though

You can kinda tell how easily Mikey slips into the violence and cruelty his gang is known for in the present though

Well the glasses guy strikes me as nothing but a villain
So I'm sure it wouldn't be that much of a loss

I guess Rio's gonna start meddling to keep him from interfering with her brother's romance

Honestly he's ended up having much better chemistry with Rio than he does with Ichika

i think rio's smart and personable and pays attention to details
and ichika is not any of those things
and that kinda makes rio just have better social chemistry with about anyone than ichika
i also think the reasons ryo likes ichika is partially due to ichika being airheaded, awkward, and socially nervous

to which i'd like to give ryo a very large "WeirdChamp"

Well Japan is still struggling in a lot of places with the pandemic
And this isn't the most high-budget show
It might be that they couldn't always get him in the recording studio for audio
And so yeah, he might be recording his lines from a home studio or something.

As far as the standards of the Shadows and faces go, it's pretty clear Kate hasn't educated Emily "properly"
I mean Emily obviously isn't exactly an easy person to wrangle
But Kate's had plenty of time to make her understand better how to be a doll
So it feels like Kate's intentionally choosing to not have Emily be normal

They've done a good job setting up the more irregular Shadows as the ones that are more sympathetic and likeable characters
Where as the ones that perform appropriate to the culture of the house are unpleasant kids

This was a dangerous feeling episode.

They do a great job of building the forboding suspense and unease
Jugdging from the mangaka team's previous work they're definitely a fan of the grim and eldritch
So this mood-setting is definitely what they're aiming for
