I think the biggest thing is that, while the MC is kind of a brat, he's really not that bad of a person
All the misfortune that befalls him in this game is particularly undeserved
All the humiliation and insults he garners aren't really funny because of that too.
It's just beating on someone who doesn't deserve it.

Someone who can fully realize NPCs as actual people, but are still also just NPCs to utilize to win the game, is definitely the kind of person who would make for a good politician

but the idea of a full-dive game would be amazing motivation for working out

the thought of VR monster hunter is actually pretty intensely causing me to feel a sense of longing for the future of technology

The issue I have with neuralink is that I don't trust corporations with basic things
I definitely don't trust them with putting technology in my brain.

i don't either, and there would have to be a very different world in 40 or 50 years whenever that kind of decision might be relevant for me to even consider it
but there's also a future where people have to
but that's a whole other talk
neuralink is also just an example about the possibilities of technological advancement here
