I think his shows are Horan, Seijo, Shadows House, and Tokyo Revengers
We might be able to peer pressure bully him into watching Bishounen Tanteidan but I'm having a really hard time selling him on it

i also have blue reflection ray and i'm willing to watch ep 2 of suburashiki but those are much less desired than the ones tilde already said

i'm willing to give bishounen a shot too but

the first frame from opening and pausing the show reminded me where we're at

The thing that bothers me the most is how yellow his teeth are
I don't really care that he was wearing an old lady's skin
But teeth that yellow are gross

i kinda feel like she might be a little excited to be walking into a trap

What good's a trap that the person you want to trap knows is a trap

This prettyboy's a bit dour but he seems like a nice guy
He seems to care a lot about the MC

this is heating up pretty fast for such a low episode number
this seems like an episode 9 kind of thing to be happening

well that was really pretty

visually, the colors and imagery are great
there is some lacking in the story but i kind of expected that
the fight was super cool looking
it feels weird though because that could be like it's own 4-episode show
i'm guessing the next arc will refer a lot to these events tho

Janome always struck me as a midboss-type character
He wasn't quite of the caliber needed to be running the show
But they also haven't really seeded any bigger villains of the series yet

and they don't follow the same consistent rules about whether they're hardcore localizing or just translating

Yeah, still weird for them not to translate it for western audiences
that's kinda a niche thing that hasn't made it to western audiences that much

Which is why I think it's fine they referred to what was going on with the scholars
They were being subjugated to crunch after all

Some times a literal translation suits a situation better, some times a more liberal localization works well too
Understanding where the choice ought to be made is what makes a translator

After Neku was kind of out-of-character with some of the changes they did to him in episode one, he's more in line with how he was in the game this episode

The game's generally full of high-quality music but there are some that really stick with me

The real plot does take a bit to kick in with the game
But that sort of thing is usually pretty fine since games have other things to keep your attention while they lay the foundations for story
It's a harder sell on a purely storytelling format.
