The only new new thing would be Hige wo Soru, which is about a salaryman who encounters a highschool girl that tells him "If you give me a place to stay the night, I'll let you sleep with me"
Needless to say he does not actually sleep with her, but I think the rest of show is about developing their relationship

Kinda funny that there's two age-gap romances this season and they both come out for Mondays

It looks like he sees her as a generic android

This sorta thing seems way outside of her singing mission.

Her protocol is "to make everyone happy by singing"
Arguably if you emphasize on "make everyone happy", ensuring they actually survive a mass extermination, still fulfils your mission
Alternatively, there's been some subtle emphasis that she's one of the first fully-autonomous AI in use
So it might be that she has a degree of complexity that allows her to either by-pass her mission, or that's what allows her to liberally interpret it

And they made use of that to have him hack the terrorist's perception too

I guess she is kinda sticking to her mission in a weird way.

This human isn't a very gratious person
He's been kinda bitching at Diva and the bear despite them obviously saving his life

I wonder if that was a bit of a jump forward and they'll cover the details next episode
But at the same time, if they've got to fit a hundred years into a single season series, they probably have to move a bit quickly.

The first season of Megalo Box was a lot of fun

I wonder where it can go from here.
The ending pretty much had it covered in my opinion.

Well that's the thing about sports series
There's always a bigger fish
If not at the moment, they come some time down the line
A champ can only remain a champ for a finite amount of time

His coach lost his remaining eye at the climax of the first season, so it can't be the real him

His body really seems to be failing him though
It's kind of an earnest demonstration of what it's like to be a boxer though
You don't last long in that sport without developing some serious body failings
Probably way more so when you box with gear like all thes e people do

Yeah, he seems to be having a bad time.

It's probably good that he doesn't take those with alcohol, but I dunno if he can affort to ditch the pills entirely
His body is probably suffering excruciating pain, the kind that you can't just "deal with"

That bit of the OST was really good

Despite his problems he's still got a pretty cocksure attitude

Honestly anywhere you take a hit from a mechanically-amped punch like this is probably going to seriously hurt and risk actual damage

He still gets really tilted in the ring

Hard to not when you've got your adrenaline pumping

The other guy was totally up for fixing the fight
The one thing Joe aaaabsolutely hates

Yeah, it was a rigged fight from the start

Joe really has lost a bit of his touch though
But I think he's got a narrow path to tread
He probably can't live with the pain, but he is also probably addicted to the painkillers at this point.

Sports careers often are!
You put your body on display for the public until you wear down the muscles and tendons of your body, or take blows that rattle your brain and induce concussions that bear dangerous fruit down the line

I get the feeling they're starting at rock bottom for a redemptive arc though
There wouldn't be much to say if Joe was still the reigning champ of the arena.

The biggest reason I'm excited for more of this though is that I absolutely love the aesthetic style of the series
The unabashedly gritty half-gear/half-cyberpunk vibe of the world is beautiful

I hope things pick up and get hype like the first further down the road

We're getting into the later parts of this series now
It's one of Shounen Jump's longest running series at this point

It dragged in some places, but I remember it leaving off on a high note.

From what I've seen from chatter about the series, we're getting into some parts that people either really like or really don't
There's a lot of big plots coming

In a very poetic way, Endeavor now matches his son
Both are horrifically disfigured on the face

No Might is still a pretty adorable character design
All skin and bones

It's also pretty exciting for me because I only have the vaguest idea what happens at the best of times
And a lot of what's coming up I'm completely dark on

Though I knew the winged hero guy was a traitor working with the villains.

It's a surprise to me that he's a traitor

It looks like he's a bit of a double agent though
But I dunno who these suits who asked him to get into the League of Villains are

Dabi is like the mangaka going all-out on full edginess for character concept
He even weeps blood from his face

It seems like he's not a bad person, but a bit unscrupulous

Todoroki's onee-chan is nice

That really is a crazy scar.

Endeavour still really has a lot to make up for though
He was a really shitty dad, not just to Todoroki, but to the rest of his kids
And wasn't exactly great to his wife either

I liked the first episode, but it was basically just a "Team, assemble!" first episode
It's a sports drama about football, so there'll likely be a lot of sports to it
And the character designs are kinda goofy

Dragon was better than I expect but I still think it's kind of a bit much
The main character dragon is a fairly insufferable creature
But the rest of the world is kinda fun

I'm excited to see the previous holders of One For All

The younger brother, the first holder of One For All, really looks a lot like Shigaraki

I wonder how one for all came to be.

We were told about it back in, uh, season two, I think
All For One gave his younger brother as a cruel prank, the Quirk to pass on your own Quirk
Which by itself is pretty useless
But unknown to All For One, his younger brother did have a Quirk already, the power to compound power
When he added the other Quirk to his younger brother, it fused with his original Quirk, and created One For All, a Quirk that compounds power as new users receive it, that can be passed down to new users
(As we'll see shortly, it also absorbs Quirks from new users into that compounded power, giving later users access to all the Quirks of previous One For All users)

Oh now that you mention it I remember that.

The OP has already spoiled who this special combatant is, hah hah
It's also someone we're already familiar with
I think the series might've hinted who it would be a while back, but it was a fairly off-hand thing
So most people probably forgot about it.

There really isn't much else to cover though
They've already promised to marry each other
Not that there was really ever much tension to this series
Everything kinda just turns out okay

Which is a bit of a nice change
A lot of shoujo can be a bit silly on the drama scales

Yeah, as far as romances go, they've have a really smooth one.

Girls really don't like to be called strong, eh

well, they said she was like a guy in front of her boyfriend

She is kind of more of a guy than Miyamura is though

I really like how natural their friend group feels
Like they're all pretty unique individuals that talk and do their own things independent of any particular people
Even if the MCs are absent, they're still people.

He's really cleaned up a lot since the start.

Oh this a kind of sweet way to end the series
A reflection on the way other people's lives are different because he came into them

Life really is all about the small coincidences
Just one little detail echoes in infinite ways
And when you add up all the little details and small coincidences, you get one person's life

Relationships are all about little moments.
They always come together cause of little moments like that.
And little moments can spoil them too.

Because those little moments are the building blocks of life!
Each one is just as important to life as the next
Even if it's easier to look at one or two and see them as more important

He absolutely derailed that ceremony

The climax of the final episode is a moment between two boys.

They're literally the same boy!

There's always the talk that high school is the best time of your life
And while I thoroughly think that's garbage, I kinda wish high school had been something that could be the best time of my life
I haven't really ever had a time like that

Oh he's got to act in his usual energetic doofus self around his imouto
Which she's not used to since he acts reserved at home

I can defintiely get his mentality
Which makes it a bit much to watch, I guess
It stings the heart a bit in the way I think it needs to be stung every now and then
Maybe I should just go let myself be consumed by thoughts for a while

That was good but also frustrating since my relationship is on the rocks
that was a good series
