Honestly I always expected Nino to discover that photo And that would be what triggered her to go full speed on the romance train But she kinda went for it even without knowing who Futarou was

Nino's had a real turnaround for me this season Itsuki's always been nice but I am convinced she's not even remotely in the runnings Ichika going full snake has been good too And Yotsuba's been consistently nice Really the only one that's kind of dull now is still Miku Which is a shame since she is cute, but her personality is just flat compared to the rest of them
Nino may have had one of the better comeback stories of any anime character but she still literally poisoned him, and she's still an absolute bitch. she's worked her way up all the way from 1/10 to 6/10 but she's still not a person i would want to even have the displeasure of having met
her personality is so detestable it's probably the biggest thing in the show working against suspension of disbelief it would be one thing to write it off as her being the tsundere character and that's just her moe attribute but the rest of the social interactions in this show are pretty good at appearing realistic and plausible and sincere with almost every word nino says, you have to imagine why there isn't someone telling her to shut the fuck up for being an obnoxious piece of trash

the only real difference between her at the beginning and her now is that she actually has a personality and a goal to works towards, and emotions that aren't just anger or contempt but she isn't any more pleasant

In the end Norman ends up feeling like the most childish of the three He might've felt hardened by the testing facility he got sent to But that's the kind of thing that stunts maturity, not accelerating it The learning life the rest of the kids experienced is the kind of thing that helps you mature
